I keep telling people; the t&c have quietly changed. IT IS now month 6 for new contracts etc. If you can't work out the (very) basics, don't do the deals!

i don't know if this was at me or not, but I read that e2save were asking people that they should have been sending there fourth bill in, I was just stating that the t&c on mine stated month 6th was the first one, I wanted some clarification. thats all. I know its all very basic for someone that does them a lot and afterall this is a money saving site, why not be nice and just offer advice, if you fed up of telling me then you don't have to. It looks as if people are appreciating your advice from the thanks your getting, what else can they do. People want to save a bit of cash on their mobile phone contracts and with the help of people on here they might just do that.
Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!

I took out a 'Pricematch' deal in June with E2save and have followed the t&c's (ie months 4,6,8,10 and 12)that were also sent with mobile and have had no trouble getting my 1st 2 cashbacks. As 'Mobilejunkie' keeps on saying in this thread and many others that if you understand the t&c's you signed up for and follow them then it seems that its fairly straight forward.I just thought I would say something positive about E2save,as I see most posts are very negative on these mobile threads.

I received 2 emails!! 1 stated claim after 4 months, the day after I received the second telling me to claim after 6 months.

Each email asks me to "click here" for T&Cs and another "click here" for the claim form, but neither have a link!!!

I was sent 2 sets of claim forms with the phone. My original T&Cs said to claim after four months.
ACII and Chartered so now I can focus on learning to play my beautiful Sax. 🎷

I'm sure mobile junkie or someone else can confirm this - is the e2save 'my account' information correct when it comes to claiming cashback?
    I think....

I also took out a "price match" contract in September. When I got the phone the paperwork showed options for claiming cashback under various schemes for varying amounts. Additionally it was clear at the point of sale that my cashback was 4 months for the first claim and then every 2 months up to and including month 12. The only problem I had was understanding when to submit the claim as the billing date did not coincide with the date of purchase. Rang CS who were extremely helpful and I have just received my 1st cheque for £77 this morning:D

My MAJOR complaint was at the start of the contract when they contacted me and tried to persuade me to have paperless billing which would have invalidated the contract:mad:

I am curious to know whether some of you are actually saying that it is okay for a company to change the t&c after the contract has been taken out? I appreciate the work the mobile junkie is doing and it is good to follow his advice. It does not however mean you have to roll over.
First of all. Complain to trading standards and Ofcom. Both of these organisations are fudging the issue but if customers keep on at them they will have to do something about it. If you really want to go full way complain to your MP's.
Secondly take legal action. The more that do again will put pressure on the Phone Industry to do something about it.
The only solution at the end of the day is for the Government to end this cartel between the network operators, take back the masts and allow others to have a free network. Watch the prices fall and service go up if it did happen.

Wow! So many comments in such a short time!

    1) I defintiely am AGAINST complaining to ofcom, trading standards, MPs or anyone else. I am more than happy to play the dealer's games (am very good at it) for myself and my friends. There is already an enormous swell of complaints and there is only one outcome - no more worthwhile cashback deals. THAt is something I am 100% against! These organisations are a waste of space in general. They will not help you now - all they will do is take away choices and freedoms for the future.
    2) I do not and never have advocated rolling over to this company.
    3) I have consistently made this plain; if they mess you around, LBA then sue.
    4) My groundrules cover just about everthing else; those confused because they don't understand the t&c or the misinformation provided definitely haven't followed them. Again, these are in post one on:- http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=558661&page=1 and now go back several months.
    5) The "my account" information (as I have also said on various threads many times) is NOT correct as far as this is concerned; a) it follows their t&c and not the legal ones under so-called "price-match" deals; b) it is often vague; c) it is often just plain WRONG!
    6) Those who find me abrasive have a reasonable opinion which I won't dispute. I will merely point out that people still keep majking the same old mistakes, often don't read the answers people like me (and those with the SAME problems) have already taken THIER time and effort to address and abrasive or not at least my advice is clear and effective. In fact, I may not have much time on here to give it before too long so my abrasiveness will either be better or a lot worse (because I won't have time to plonk away at the keys as I do now!).

I have been keeping clear of E2Save after having read comments like those above - even though I have had no problem with them in the past. However, I couldn't resist the current offer they have on a SE W200i on O2 for 11 months free on a 12 months contract. The reason being is that £136 is paid automatically after 2 months - so they can't get out of that.

However, as mentioned on loads of threads, which bills to send in is confusing.

The T&Cs online (which can't easily be screen printed to printer) at the time of order say :

Instalment 1 - You will need to claim 6 months from connection and you have 30 days from this date to submit your claim. Send us your claim form and monthly bill showing your name, address, mobile number and tariff you are connected to. (This bill must be no older than 28 days when we receive it and have no balance brought forward.)

However, the email confirmation I received says :

To gain the remainder of your line rental / cash back please send your 6th, 8th, 10th and 12th monthly bills within 30 days of the date stated on the relevant airtime bill, to us and we will credit you by cheque with £62.25 each time.

The latest bill you have in your possession at precisely 6 months from connection will not be the 6th monthly bill.... so they are already contradicting themselves (both with which bill and the date from which you have 30 days to claim from).... But once I establish my bill date and have my first bill I will email them and get it in writing which bill they want for the first claim.

At worst I will pay £20ish per month if all my claims are rejected (assuming Quidco and automatic cashback are paid). At best it is free for 12 months.

That's normal - and it's not that simple. I have said about 100 times by now - bill numbers are irrelevant. E2Save is NOW operating the old Onestopphoneshop t&c. They always operated differently to E2Save; neither actually EVER worked on bill numbers. Ignore the email stuff. 6 months to the day from connection and the claim window starts ticking. Then 30 days later it closes. Any bill not more than 28 days old arriving there in that claim window is what is required. It really is that simple. Of course, the window won't BE 30 days because of bill dates etc. In actual fact, these are the t&c Onestopphoneshop operated for some time prior to the introductiopn of the infamous price-match" t&c. I reckon they'll be rather pleased when I have less time to post on here!

Thanks for the clarification - I have succeeded with the osps t&C many times in the past as they are fairly self explanatory. I am currently on the price match T&C but the 'my account' T&C correspond to the standard osps rules or be it with 5 claims at m4,6,8,10 and 12.

I had better dig out the original price match T&C sent with the phone if these actually differ from what is online although I would be surprised given the unfaire conditions in consumer contracts regulations whether they would win in court if someone was to follow the conditions on their website relating to the specific order but obviously avoiding the hassle of mcol would be a plus

On the same lines, the virgin sim deal is showing in my account with the standard osps rules mentioned above (3 and 6m) Is this correct for this deal or are there different T&C for this one too?
    I think....
