I've been a member for a long time too and yes, grumbled and moaned along with the rest. The complaints have been thick and fast like this for years now. Over and over I've sworn to leave when I get to the last 80,000 points etc. etc. and by the time the voucher has arrived, (because they take months to come just like the points, too) I've found more points have mounted up and so I keep on till the next 80,000! This time I'm sticking to my guns and I'm going!
It is too much to have to keep taking screen shots of everything I agree, yet it's the only way to make sure they treat you fairly! :(

Toluna's Gifties are a total sham as well. Ordered 3 free ones back in August but have yet to receive them. I just knew the site would go downhill once they merged with Ciao.
Can't wait to get to the threshold to claim them I'm going to bail.

  • I've never tried to unsubscribe so can't comment on that, but I've used the contact form before and it has worked ok (emailed to point out that a link didn't work and it got sorted).

Are they a bad organization? To be honest I find them no better and no worse than some of the other survey sites. I certainly find they are the most consistent source of surveys and vouchers. I joined in mid-Feb, since then I have claimed 10 £15 amazon vouchers: 7 of which have been processed (and spent!) and 3 are being processed, and at the moment I have enough points pending for another 3 vouchers. So a nice source of "pin money" for books and other treats.

Can I ask how you've managed to earn so many points? How do you even manage to complete the surveys? I'd say I get screened out of 9 out of 10 before I've even started.

I'm keen to know how you get so many too, the maximum I seem able to get is around 1 every 5 weeks or so.

You need to take as many as it will let you, not just the ones they specifically email about. (I used to strongly advise against this as they rarely used to credit and you had no proof of taking it and no record of the survey number, but despite Toluna's many flaws I now find this the best way to earn a lot of points quickly as they do seem to be better at crediting!)

Say you get invited to a survey in an email. You open the link and take the survey. If you screen out or complete the survey, right at the end there'll be a button that says "take another survey". Click it, take the next survey, repeat until you get the "Oops, no more surveys" message.

...Or, if you click the link in the email and it gives you that "we apologise that the original survey is now full" or whatever message - wait for a new survey to load and take it. I used to see that message and just close the survey thinking the previously-mentioned "oh, if I take this survey I won't have any proof of being invited so I won't bother", now I take every survey I can get.

Like I said, I used to do this and the surveys almost never credited, but since they launched the new site they're much better and I earn vouchers a lot faster these days.

Ahh, I'm doing all that too. I guess maybe I'm getting screened out of more than you then :)

  • I think the rule is that there are no rules!

I don't spend too much time worrying about it. I click on the emails that I get, sometimes I do any extra surveys and really I'm just grateful to get an Amazon voucher from something I mostly just do in my lunch break. I've got £30 worth pending at the moment, and I'm pretty happy with that.
  • Anyone having problems this morning logging in to Toluna?

Keep putting in my info & it's telling me to enter correct credentials but I am :(
  • It does that from time to time; they're probably doing some maintenence - like trying to make the Sponsored Polls go a bit faster! They slow to a crawl after you've done the first few! :(

Thanks Gemini, you have put my mind at rest -I got to the stage where I thought perhaps it was the wrong log-in info but I knew it wasn't!

There still appears to be problems, as you say lets hope they're speeding the whole thing up.
