I know something has happened as i now get toluna surveys on the email i used for CIAO but they haven't explained what happens to my CIAO money
I had £4 in CIAO, will this be transferred to Toluna?
I think that toluna/ciao one of the 2 companies had sent an email out saying that you needed to cash out your ciao money before a certain date. I would email toluna/ciao and ask them if this is correct? Hopefully you can get your ciao money, it may have been converted to toluna points now that pay pal is not an option.0 -
thriftymanc wrote: »It looks like the way they are adding survey points to our statements is a bit confusing. I checked my account today and I have finally had the points added for one survey. It showed up under the date I did the survey though, rather than the date the points were added. It used to show up with the date added. I knew I'd had something added as I'd just requested a voucher and had almost no points, then over a thousand when I logged in today, so I knew to look. If I'd had a larger number of points (where something being added isn't so obvious) and I'd only checked the top of my statement like I do normally, I wouldn't have noticed.
My statement history is also broken. I've emailed Toluna but no reply as usual. Can anyone select the dates they want to view? Whenever I try to type the dates into the boxes provided, the boxes go blank. I've tried clicking the little calendar thing next to the boxes but nothing happens, so I can't select a date that way. The statement only shows the last month by default, so if a survey was added to my account that I'd taken longer than a month ago, I'd never know because I can't check - and I've got tons of surveys over a month old that I'm waiting for!
Thanks for this. I managed to look at all of my points on their site back to June 2010 and managed to list the whole lot in one long screen by setting the dates to cover from June to now. I’ve also been keeping a list of each survey that I have completed together with the date, the points awarded and the ID.
By using the ‘Find’ feature on IE, I could put the survey number in that I knew I had completed and find it on my points account on their website.
Interestingly, they have retrospectively awarded some points back to the day when I actually completed the survey. However, there were a great many surveys right back to June 2010 that I knew I had completed, but Toluna actually listed in my points list the date it was completed, the survey ID and then instead of awarding the points they either listed ‘Prize Draw Entry’ or ‘Survey Open’. I’ve still got the old e-mails to these surveys and clicking on the link either won’t let me into the survey or says ‘you have already completed this survey’.
Another interesting point is that I also found quite a number of surveys that I had completed that weren’t even listed as anything on my points account.
So in total I'm missing around 50000 points. Just firing off another e-mail to them now because there is definitely something strange going on.0 -

ur ciao money should show as toluna points now on the same acc (if same email) or a new acc.0 -
I also have 1000s of survey points missing and they are just not answering their enquiry system!0

With the 'old' system, I just kept a copy of each survey email until the points came through.
With the 'new' system, where you get an email and then get two or three surveys from the link, there is no permanent record of the survey numbers, making it impossible to check (I assume that is the idea!).
Plus the fact that I am getting the 'extra 2400 points' (OK, 2399!) for each email but absolutely no points have come though yet for any of the completed surveys. Is this typical? I think it's time to give ToLuna the old heave-ho.0 -

When this happens I copy the survey number and points, and when the survey is completed, paste into an email to my other email address. I then save, and have a record.0 -

But who should have to do this and do you really want to?
Before joining i read about the site and chose only to complete the sponcered polls. I have been tempted by a few surveys (all for 10k) and not a single one has ever tracked!
There are far batter sites and better ways of making a few pennies, but thats for me personally.I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -

But my real question was: is anyone getting any points through (other than the 2,399 'bonus') for the new surveys, which seem to have started in early Aug?0 -

Do you mean those emails that say "You can take surveys!" with no info, just that "Step 1, Step 2, Step 3" thing where all the emails are identical? I just delete those. I emailed them and told me to stop sending them as well but surprisingly enough they haven't. I'm not going to fanny about with them, they're obviously trying to catch people out by not providing them with solid proof they were invited to a particular survey number.
I've had the points for ONE survey added since mid-July. It's beyond a joke now. They ignore most of my emails and the couple of responses I have had have been quite rude telling me to stop being impatient. Well excuse me Toluna but it's hardly my fault I've had to chase up 20 surveys is it?!0 -
The sponsored polls are just taking the wotnot. I will only do those paying 60 points (= just 1p!!) or more but, even then, you would need to get through half a dozen an minute to make it anything other than a complete waste of time.

AH! not true. I keep the Toluna page open at work. It takes seconds to press a couple of buttons (don't do it at home much). I find it's something i don't have to concentrate on. Started in march and halfway to my 4th voucherI get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0
