When its really cold I want to eat more.
I think this is because the body needs more fuel to keep warm.
Does this mean you burn off more calories when its cold?I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Hey, good to see you back Missy! And welcome to Claire and Mumzy:hello: You'll get loads of great support on here, this really is a lovely bunch of people!
Delly, I can't wait for all your work to finish, it sounds awful, and I only have to read it not do it!Raph, well done on keeping up with the fruit and veg, that's a real shift in your diet and so positive. Fantastic news about paying off the debt too, nice one! I'd like to hear more about the EFT too please... I'm intrigued by the Paul McKenna stuff too (not enough to buy it, how would I justify it to the 4Kers?:D). Well done Pet for digging it out, and if it makes you fall asleep then that's a great thing right? Go girl for Monday, you tell them just how their c*ckup has affected you. BB, sorry I can be no help with the meat/freezer question - no meat you see:D and also I'm probably well scary on food hygiene :rotfl:Anything goes for me, eaten far worse on expedition so how bad can it be?;)
Still losing the weight that was starting to creep back on. Very tired at the mo so not been able to do any exercise sadly, but all in good time. I am really looking forward to this decorating being finished! The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Claire and Poohbear I've just googled the EFT thingy. Is it similar to the tapping technique that Paul Mckenna advised in his I Can Make You Thin programme?.....................................but the cd makes me fall asleep like someone else mentioned here the other day, I've never heard it through to the end!...
xxxx
Yes, it is the same thing that Paul Mckenna has in his book. I have the book and CD but have never stayed awake to the end either. I have also tried it for dealing with past issues but I have only had small successes with that as I think I have quite a lot of issues. I am very lucky that I have a friend who is training as a practitioner and I am her main guinea pig.
beanielou, I want to eat more too. It is so cold here. We have the log fire lit and are all cosy watching the rugby. DS3 has been skiing locally today too.
Bb, All foods stored in a freezer need to be sealed in airtight packaging to prevent freezer burn, dehydration and deterioration in colour and taste. I buy huge packs of bacon (3lb) and separate them into smaller portions in a tupperware type box.
I use greaseproof paper to separate the portions so I can take them out afterwards. It does take practice to make sure that the portions are not touching anywhere so I can remove the required amount and not the whole box. I use this system for home-made burgers too but I open freeze them on plastic trays them package them up afterwards.
You need a box that has a good seal to prevent damage by air. It isn't so much a food hygiene thing as a need to preserve the quality of the foods. I don't freeze other pieces of meat in containers but the same principle applies. An air tight box and separate the pieces of meat with greaseproof paper. I hope that helps. Please feel free to PM me if you need more help.
If you have meat from the butchers in plastic bags you can use those to freeze the meat in if it isn't going to be stored very long, as it can easily be damaged and then you get the freezer burn again.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Sadly no sign of any snow chez Missy, Petrichor! I loooooove snow. Could I have yours Delly? Thank you for the further clarification about the points too. Really hope this house cleaning 'mare is over for you soon. Good karma must be coming your way for all this!
!
missg - I think both pet and I would happily let you have all of our snow.Delly, I can't wait for all your work to finish, it sounds awful, and I only have to read it not do it!. I am really looking forward to this decorating being finished!
Thanks bails - I can't wait for all of our decorating to be done too. We were going to get the plasterer's phone number as our kitchen celing needs reparing cos our shower is leaking, but I just don't know if I could let him into my house.....I gotta tell you, if I had any idea that it would have involved all the hassle we've had over the past week I'd have never let my OH volunteer to clean up and decorate his dad's house.
As for good karma missyg I'm not too sure about that. I'm certain that we're going to come under fire from OH's mother (who "left" oh's dad 18 months ago but still calles in to see him and use his phone to make international phone calls etc:mad: he's such a softie ). She's sure to critizise something - the paper we picked, something that the workmen "missed" or forgot to do, or the amount of money we ended up spending on the whole thing. We've got a hall/stairs/landing completely redecorated - paper stripped, & new paper put up, new carpet on said stairs, and 2 downstairs rooms completely redecorated for about £1400. It would have cost less but we had to spend £200 on skips to get rid of the rubbish his dad had been hoarding. - THe council wouldn't take away the rubbish cos of the waste regulations etc.
I'm dreading them coming home on Thursday week.Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -

heya ladies and gents!
I am SO tried today. 2 out of 4 people showed up to doday so its been so busy and ive not stopped. Hate days like that. Im just lying here like a blob of fat watching tv and coming on here while my boyfriend nips out to get me a "small" chocolate bar.
Hannab: I know what you mean about the pedemoter, i cant do 10,000 steps either. I know i cant now because i lost my pedometre from the times in the Oasis changing rooms. grrr. But generally even after 30 mins of exersise i cant. Dunno how i can fit anymore in! it is hard when youre mainly sitting in a day.
Hope everyone is well. Me and the boyfriend are going to have a nice day out tomorrow which im looking forward to lots!
hope youre all having a good weekend! x0 -
welcome claire,mumzy:D
qt hablas espanol o puedes escribirlo y ya esta?
Re confidence that is what I do, there is no way I would let anyone at work/that I meet in the workplace etc see/know what I have to go through sometimes to get through the day, oh no big smiles, oozing confidence, always on the move, customers love me, no one suspects, everyone sees me as the friendly, helpful confident one that will go the extra mile to help bosses or customers and can be relied on, thought of very highly at work but it goes to pot when I am back home/on my own/have too much time to think:cool: I guess I know work pays the bills and 'the act' puts food on the table for my kids so it is important to keep up:D
delly MAKE sure you think of yourself as well because it was not long ago you were not that well and you must look after number one;)
suggs DID YOU enjoy the rugby? We lost, H reckons it happens all the time and the players give up/get tired half way through and the game passes them by.
missyg so long aS YOU are happy with the gain and know why then good times:D
bb I do like the sound of the actifry

Hi there! Am not only new to this thread but new to the entire board!
Your posts are so inspiring - I would love to lose a stone. Here goes.......
And good luck to you all. xSealed Pot Challenge No. 9140 -
Claire and Mumzy and Suzy-Qu hello and welcome. I'll put your names on the chart for the 5lb challenge unless you tell me not to. You just aim to lose 5lb in a month and post your weight loss each week before 6.00 p.m. on Wednesday. You can post it before that if it suits you.
The main thing is to keep posting ... for some reason that seems to help most of us stay on the straight and relatively narrow.
Good luck!0
