Bit worried though as I am not in my thirties but she is still my role model. Am I old before my time? And I listen to Wogan of a morning too . . . .

Welcome home Efrieze! Glad you had a lovely time; I'm hoping you brought back a kangaroo :D I didn't explain myself very well about taking time out - it's not time out from my way of approaching it, it's time out from being sucked into old habits which don't necessarily compliment it. By taking that 'timeout' and eating what would be considered ridiculous things/amounts, I have lost weight! It's hard work to keep to the approach I'm following sometimes with all the traditional WL messages out there (and in my head) but as soon as I get back on track, it works for me. I've probably just made that sound even more confusing but I know what I mean! :D

Tested out my Body Composition Monitor this morning - mine too says to do it at night for most accurate results on body fat. Will have another go tonight to see. Missy, the numbers don't add up to 100% as water is in other parts too, IYSWIM.

OH has left for Brighton now so I'm home alone; so glad I don't have to face the Dementor though, don't have the energy for her at the mo  My parents are coming up tomorrow to help me carry on with decorating the office; I'm hoping to have everything except the walls painted by the time he gets home (we haven't decided on colours yet). So that's my weekend! What you up to? xx

Before I post to the ebay forum, just wondered if anyone can help here.

Won an item on ebay, case for my new SatNav. Item is from a powerseller with 58000+ positive reviews? offers to accept paypal as well as cheques. Click on 'pay now' then On the Review your purchase page I make sure paypal is cecked and I click continue. I get the following error "This seller does not accept Instant Purchase payments." Any reason??

I have emailed last night, no response as yet? should I just pop a cheque in the post?

suggs, Sometimes you need for the seller to invoice you then you can pay the correct amount by paypal. I had this once with a seller who had different rates dependent on the distance from him. Hope that helps.

Bb, it is rotten that you have to put up with a horrible rheumatologist. I found that it was the pain consultant that was really mean to me. Told me to just get on with it. I know its not at all MSE but I paid to see a rheumatologist privately for a couple of consultations because the locum rheumatologist I saw first time then went on holiday for 6 weeks and there was no one in the department and i needed a meds review and letters for my employers.

Lovely to have you back efrieze :j and to have lost 3lbs too!!!:T Well done you :j I hope that when you go for your weigh in on Wednesday that you've lost an additional 1/2 lb as that will take you to the 100lbs loss club  (try having an extra poo :o it seems to be the done thing here at the moment :D )...

...Your most gracious 6d6607dafa.gifPurpleness (That's about the first smiley that I've uploaded this year apart from a the welcome one I used a couple of times, thought I'd give everyone a rest). Sorry to hear about your experience with the rheumatologist, I sometimes think that they do the job for the wrong reason:confused: anyway I hope that you're feeling brighter if not better today...

...HannaB I've been using my pedometer for months now and am quite hooked, sad I know :o . Sometimes when I want to build up my count I jog on the spot and it's surprsing how it helps, even if it's just for a few minutes at a time eg waiting for the kettle to boil, watching TV, cleaning my teeth etc. I've had a few weeks where the average daily count has been well in excess of 20,000. I feel a jolly sight fitter too :j ...

...This confidence stuff is strange isn't it? My lack of it stems from a multitude of things, but being overweight was a big part. I find now that I've got a bit more confidence in certain areas of my life such as shopping, having lost the excess weight, as I no longer think that the sales staff are sniggering about me because I was looking a nice clothes designed only for slim people. Sadly other issues seem to be crowding in trying to fill the void :o . I always tend to think that everyone else is more confident and far far better than me, but I spoke to someone with whom I worked who was no different to me, but exuded confidence by the bucket and asked her how she did it (I was very tactful) and I was completely taken aback when she said that she had sleepless nights worrying about things, she dreaded most aspects of our jobs and always had butterflies in her stomach before doing anything other than the most basic tasks at work, BUT what she refused to do was to show it. So her outward appearance belied what was actually happening to her, she said she just acted confident so that noone would think that she would be an easy target, and you know what? It worked! She believed that everyone had some form of nerves no matter who they were and that by showing she was confident often put other people on their guard ( big bosses too!). So, perhaps if we all try and act confident it may help. Does it work for me? Yes, in some situations, but in others, does it !!!! :rotfl:...

...Sorry, got a bit carried away there, but it came to me this morning and just thought I'd share it with you lovely peeps :D ...

I wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latter :p but my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

:j :j :j :j to Bluecorn, Jmf, Jules and Scottishchick for their losses, and :j :j :j :j to Suggs for staying the same .... that's what you're supposed to do now Suggs, not keep on losing!

    Now Granny owns up .....:o

If I had been more careful about entering results on to the chart we would have had a total loss last month of 6.5 lbs, not the 0.5lb that I said it was. OK, 6.5 isn't great but it is 13 times better than I said it was. Thanks you to the pople who have (very kindly) pointed out where I was wrong, it's all updated now. I'm being very careful now whispered, in case I still muck it up.

Welcome back Efrieze! Did the blood rush to your head with all that upside down time?

BB, next time you see her take a notebook (or even better a clipboard) and make notes of what she says. Ask her to spell anything technical, even if you know perfeclty well how to spell it. For some reason I find this results in a change of attitude in the less emotionally intelligent members of the caring professions. Or she may have just been having a bad day - no excuse but maybe she'll be more appropriate next time.
