Don't even mention the "Great Tinned Tomatoes Bloodbath Of 2007" - small children were trampled in the exodus.
As a rule of thumb, if vegetables taste crap (eg lettuce, celery) then they are free. If they are nice though (spuds, parsnips) then you count the points. Potatoes are a point per 90g, parsnips a point per 100g.
Ah! I'm sorry, didn't put it as clear as I meant to. The silly thing that I did was to give points to the free stuff, I could not accept a bowl of no point soup for example, my scientific
brain just wouldn't allow it
Perhaps if I had, I may have had success with it as I suppose they take this all into account when devising the plans.
Having said all this, a heck of a lot of people have found a new lease of life by losing weight with them :j and I certainly don't want to disparage any of it...
xxxxI wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latterbut my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

......it's all in the fibre and naturalness of it. No harm in having a 20kcal tomato if you're gonna get rid of it an hour later and use those calories up walking to the little pet's room
That, and also the fact that to even reach half a point you need about 35 calories in the food to start with.... makes many vegetables very difficult to point up.0 -
Thanks for the response all...u guys are the BEST!0

hi peeps:D had to knock off work early as water was coming into the shop right onto the lights so came home early:D going to leave the job, can't believethe boss won, feel deflated that she has the upper card as in the boss and I am the worker but not blowing my own trumpet but I am very goodat what I do, no one has complaints of my work but the boss resents it, sees it as a threat to hers and takes it out on me so she wins, I loose and I am very annoyed I let it happen(no we can't get on because the boss sees herself above and beyond me) I have tried being nice, talking about her only, trying to change the atmosphere in the work place but no, the boss wants none of it, just me gone!!
I need to keep the peace for a bit longer as I need a reference, so even then she has my life in her hands:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Just eating jeruselem artichokes, cut them fine enough, frylight them and they look like crisps and taste lovely:D0 -
Hi everyone, Thanks for helping me to stay sane yesterday about my weight gain. I went to the pool but because the weather is so atrocious there was hardly anyone there today. I did my exercises and came home absolutely starving and totally shattered so I had a tin of low fat chunky soup and a slice of wholemeal bread. I was still hungry later so made myself a bowl of flavoured cous cous. Because the drugs are making me really zombie like I forgot breakfast today which is not a good start to the day.
victory it sounds like a classic case of the boss feeling threatened, is there anyone else you can trust to talk to about it?
Right my new resolution is that TODAY is the first day of my healthy living regime and I am not going to look back at where I was in December but work towards a healthier future. Small plates, healthy meals and snacks and exercise alongside sensible pacing.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

and don't worry I don't have any problem going to one meeting then disappearing! I have you guys if I need help with the points, and have my scales at home!
Beanie lou I did google WW and found lotsa stuff, it is £4.95 per week and reg. is free at the mo
KPC, i will look in the vouchers thread...but can I sign up for WW online, for just one week? or do I just pay when I get there for that week?
Also does anyone know if this free WW online week trial is genuine, is it really free for a week, if so I can sign up and that means I will have time to prepare myself before the next meeting (which is on wednesdays).

I think I will need to go and buy a set of kitchen scales, to start weighing food, as I have no idea what 100g would look like..lol, do anyone have a good one, that is cheap!
Well as I said the meetings are in wednesdays evening, altho I don't know exactly where it is and there is no number on the site, so I hope I can find it ok!!0 -

yes beanilou it will be the other boss that gives me the reference, my H says talk to her as we get on great, maybe that is adding more fuel to the fire because once Imwas talking to her and the other one marched over and cut the conversation short in a very childish manner, suggs yes very small place, three bosses , one great ,one not and the other is the other's MIL:D the head office are on the end of the phone but don't bother us much so no one else to talk to apart from the good one who is on her hols at present but then her loyalties may lie with her, not sure on that one:rolleyes:
No solution that I can see, the more you are nice to her the more she sees that she has nothing to complain about but can't stand it:D0 -

QT I would only bother with digital ones: it is important to be accurate and cheap dials are difficult to read.
argos is selling these for £9.99 at the mo:
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/8403331/Trail/searchtext%3EKITCHEN+SCALES.htm
For cooking you can zero the dial after each added ingredient - useful tool.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0
