Morning all:D pay day today at last, crumbs January is a long month:eek:

Paying for my flights today to spain, had to cut it down to 5 weeks not 6 this year because of the cost ofthe flights, looks cheap and then they add the fuel, tax, check in charge, baggage charge and it adds up so much there is no such thing as the 1p flights anymore:rolleyes:

Had a really rough night, keep dreaming H is leaving me, can't find him when I go looking, like he has disappeared off the face of the earth and this is not the first time this dream, anyone know the meaning of dreams? Might google it later see what it REALLY means as they always say it is something else than what you think:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Had to have my breakfast at 7am this morning because of my diabetic numbers so from here until 12 lunch time it is going to be a long morning:D

Have a great day everyone, you all deserve it, make sure you don't get blown away, here it is so windy:rotfl:

......victory, don't even try to interpret dreams as it's a pointless exercise. While doing some of my psychology study I looked into this and a decent amount of evidence is put forward to show that dreams have to be ludicrous in order to function. They keep the brain busy so that the body can relax and get its sleep. If that didn't happen then the brain would be constantly trying to wake the body up. My favourite metaphor was that they are like Saturday morning cartoons which keep the kids (brain) amused wile the adults (body) of the household get some chill time.
There's a South African neuroscientist whose name escapes me right now suggested that they are hallucinations which simply happen when you are asleep. They are brought on by raised levels of dopamine, just like drug-induced hallucinations, but the catalyst this time is natural dopamine which is higher when we sleep.

WISHIWASRICH you can weigh yourself whenever you like, but the recommendation is for the same time, same day, same place every week in order to try to maintain consistency. Weighing more than once a week generally does more harm than good too.

The chart is released on a Wednesday night so as long as you post your weekly loss any time in the week, it will be recorded and released on Wednesday.
  • Hi all,

I'm the newbie! This is my 4th day and things are going OK I hope:o, I just wondered when we are supposed to weigh ourselves? Can anyone help?

    Whenever you like!
Just pick a day and stick to ti every week.

Most people have a weigh in between mon-weds as the chart gets put up on a weds...If you weigh in after weds you go on the chart next week...
    hope that helps....

Having a supremely rubbish week this week what with starting the new job and stuff...have caught a cold and all the nerves before lectures makes the digestive system very....erm...fluidic :o

Might have to start trying some actimel next week...just got to survive a couple more days and then bridesmaid shopping with my sister on the weekend...some day soon I might get a decent nights kip...

    Have a good day people!

......thorougly recommended, seren. I have one every day. Asda were doing them at 3 packs for £4 last week, dunno if they still are. They were BOGOF at Tesco too. The 0.1% fat variety is only 1 WW point.

Well continuing on my Paul McKenna system and it is working well, people have started noticing a difference, my clothes now fit and some of the bigger stuff I bought is getting baggy (must of stretched ;) ). Up to Day 23 so just in to the third week it's not weigh day for another week Day 30, that is if I remember to fill the book in daily.

Give him his due Paul does motivate you, this morning I went swimming at the local baths 07:30 yes in the dark and the driving rain until 08:45 just swam lengths and enjoyed it.

Now exercise is my downfall usually, as in I couldn't be bothered. That is the first time I have been swimming at the local baths since I was at school over 20 years ago !! my normal swimming is on Holiday so Cyprus in August last year, and to be honest I feel great, can't believe I actually went and enjoyed it. Still smell of chlorine though.
    Cheers
    Steve

Nice one sjc, seems to be working for you.
  • wow you've been busy! thanks for thechart granny but wah! my loss was so small it didn't even show. Glad for the reassurance that I'm not a slob. BB i like linen too but I end up looking like a crumpled dishcloth after about 5 minutes in modern linen clothes. My medieval dress is linen though and the creases don't seem to stay in that. It's made form Ikea linen, maybe that is the answer?

Ajax, I joined the quorn club yesterday too! As for which is more common - aren't they giving away the cottage pie at roadshows? what does that say about it? (lights blue touch paper and retires to safe distance)

Yay Bails on your teaching, go you! PB doen't be disheartened about your gain - I've gained this month too, part of it I can explain, part of it I'm just putting down to experience. As we've been discussing, think how much better you are for what you've done, and where you'd be if you hadn't. Loving Seren's comment about all the water junping out of the pool. She's obviously never seen me dive in.

tough night last night - really wanted to snack but I'd accidentally gone spectacularly over the syns on tues so I told myself I couldn't. Thankfully I'm back on track today.

.......I always knew you had that little bit extra, kpc :)
  • grannynise - I've PM'd you
    I'd rather be watching CSI!
  • Meh... Currently reminding myself why I don't usually drink... Not only do I feel like hell this morning, but I've just added up the points in what I drank last night... :s Should have just stayed home and watched Torchwood!!

As far as WW points are concerned - Sainsbury's have started putting points on the back of some of their stuff as well.

Right... Seeing as I've very definately missed breakfast, I'm off to find some lunch, then drag myself off to uni... Ouch...

(and yes, I know, it's self-inflicted... There's no sympathy for hangovers lol)
