Well done to the SOTW, Scottishchick, storming in with an amazing 7lbs, and to the SOTMs, Bluecorn for the losers and Suggs for the maintainers.
Special mention to Vixarooni for the long awaited [STRIKE]poo[/STRIKE] pound which will be the first of many.
A magnificient loss this month in total of 132.83 lbs, and an astonishing loss this week of ........ half a pound. Thank goodness for Vixarooni, I say.
Bluecorn, you're also the first person to post a WI for next week.
If your name is missing from the chart please let me know and I'll reinstate you. Please check the total weight loss column and if yo udisagree just send me a pm to tell me what it should be and I'll put it right. Can't start February with any errors.0 -

Delly - wow!you are one good daughter-in-law :A . Isn't your f-in-law in spain at the mo? I can only hope you are at least rewarded by a little extra weight loss through the exercise! Well done on the 1lb loss. Brilliant.

I think it was me doing the Race for Life you're on about; still waiting for the entries to open, so if anyone hears that they have (I might miss the email amongst all my Freecycle posts) please do let me know. I'm really looking forward to it, I'll be aiming to walk this year though, maybe run it again another year
:hello: Hi bails i have had my email about my local race for life entry, got it a couple of days ago so double check the website, wouldn't want you to miss out. I would like to do it but i want to find someone to do it with as i coud maybe jog a little but would mostly be walking too!! :jGoal weight....lighter than when I started0 -
Thanks for the chart GN - am PM'ing you tho, you missed my WL from this week! It's ok, I won't sulk too much
And as for all this talk of ironing - you've all obviously got far too much time on your hands! I don't iron *anything* unless it desperately needs it, and even then I'm not happy about doing it! In fact, it's one of my criteria when shopping - 1) Will it cling? 2) Can I throw it in the washing machine/dryer (first is a must, second is a bonus)? 3) Will it need ironing?. If the answer to the ironing one is a yes, then I have to seriously think about buying it!!**"Cheer up, it could get worse" - I cheered up, and look, it got worse!**0 -
Can anyone suggest a nice, tasty, non-calorific museli?? Getting a bit bored of Special K!Goal weight....lighter than when I started0

If you have your WW points thingy (the one that tells you how many you can have), can you post it please if it is easily cut/pasteable?
Hi mate - sorry it took me so long to get back to you. Here it is.
Are you:
Female = Score 3
Male = Score 9
Are you a breastfeeding mother?
No = Score 0
Yes, breastfeeding exclusively = Score 10
Yes, supplementing breastfeeding with solid foods = Score 5
How old are you?
16 - 20 = Score 5
21 - 35 = Score 4
36 - 50 = Score 3
51 - 65 = Score 2
Over 65 = Score 1
How many stones do you weigh?
Ignore the lb, the number of stones is your score for this question. Someone who weights 12st 4lb will score 12
How tall are you?
Under 5ft 4ins = Score 1
5ft 4ins or above = Score 2
In your day to day life are you:
Sitting down most of the time = Score 0
Occasionally sitting, but mainly standing = Score 2
Walking most of the time = Score 4
Doing physically hard work most of the time = Score 6
Add all the sections together and thats your daily allowance.Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
Woooooo get me, lol
o be honest its been hard but the biggest thing I put it down to is the pressure put on myself by telling people what I weighed etc, Sort of embarrassing myself by letting close friends and family know I was knocking onto 21 stone. I am determined to make this work, I lost 6lb in 1st week but "only" 2 in second week, Boy was I dissapointed, I thought 6lb a week no probs, Lmao. I am feeling a bit naffed off as I cant see any change, Ive been told its after 1st stone you see something change, I probably wont then.
I feel loads better though, Exercise, Water (never drank council pop as much as nowadays), Fruit, Veg, Breakfast, Eating at right times and getting in a routine. But all in all, Yes, I am pretty chuffed.
Thanks all0 -

BB -I'm better than good - I'm flipping fantastic. It's taken OH and I 2 full days to get the house into a fit state to bring tradesmen in to decorate it and we're not done yet. I still have to clean the tiles in the kitchen -absolutely clattered in grease and dust from the past 4 years (which was the last time I cleaned them - they were in America then). I've dumped his deep fat fryer and he's being informed that he's to eat oven chips from now on.
I only wish he was in Spain, at least then I could fly over and hang my MiL for being such a dirty lazy slattern. They both are in Austraila and due to come back in 2 weeks time.
I know it's probably sexist but I don't blame a 60 year old man from Ireland for having a dirty house, he's from a different generation, I blame the "disabled " wife who can gallivant halfway across the world to Austraila and sleep in youth hostels etc but can't summon up the energy to clean her kitchen properly.:rolleyes: (She has a worn disc in her spine I think - I can't exactly remember, she complains about so many things - but she is mobile, can walk a good distance, can look after a very bright and active 3 year old - her other grandchild - can drive, can afford to smoke, can knit/sew and crochet but can't seem to keep her house clean).
By the way, I'm not prejudiced against people with illnesses or who are disabled, my own mother has scoliosis in her spine (a curvature) which is spondylitic, has arthritis in every joint in her body from her neck down and is also developing a dowagers hump. The only reason why she's not in a wheelchair now is sheer determination. There are days when she is in so much pain she can barely move, but she still manages to clean her home when she's having a good phase and wouldn't dream of leaving it up to me, never mind her DiL's to clean for her.
My MiL spent most of the time when she was still with my FiL complaining about how untidy he was, but when we cleared out the room that she stayed in before she left him comletely - there was dirty underwear, cigarette ash,...sorry, I can't go on cos I'm just getting myself wound up.:mad:
The long and the short of it is, I did it because I care for my Oh and he was upset to see the way his Dad had been living, I expect I'll spend at least a couple of hours there every week/fortnight keeping on top of it, simply because I NEVER want to have to do that again ( My SiL informed me that it would be better if I didn't do it cos then he would just take it for granted that I would clear up his c**p after him and use me - what a lovely thing for a daughter to say about her father don't you think?)
. As for the cals etc. I've worked out it was at least 5000 per day (so not used to that kind of hard work :rotfl: ) I would say that my body has gone into shock right now:D and since we ran out of gas over the weekend and were so busy cleaning that we didn't get the chance to replace it until today, we've been eating takeaways or eating out most of the time, so any good that the exercise has done has been undone with the chips/curry/onionrings/burgers.... RUBBISH I've eaten.
I'm back on day 1 tomorrow again, and am preparing for a bad day finishing off the cleaning on Saturday.Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0
