    am i slob?

quorn meals sound good - these chilled or frozen? I was looking tesco chilled but didn't see any - but manybe i was in the quorn bit and should have been in the ready meal bit? help?

.....only actual 'shirt' shirts of mine get ironed kpc. Everything else either hangs itself creaseless or doesn;t need ironing.

As for the Quorn meals, you'll find them in the chilled vegetarian section, or that's where they are in my local Asda, and I've only ever seen the hotpot in there. The cottage pie is common as muck, it's everywhere, but I've only ever seen the hotpot in one shop. I didn't know about it, and I'm even in the Quorn Club (sniff)

pb59 I know exactly how you feel about your 5lb gain, I had that over xmas and was floored, devastated, could not see the point and hit a real low, it happens when there is a gain but there is a solution....keep going, don't go back, don't regret, don't why why why and just move on forward to the best bit, the weight loss, the richly deserved lbs will come off , keep writing everything in a food diary as you eat it, keep the exercise up, keep focused, motivate yourself, make it into a challenge you and the weight loss and you will win, be determined, look forward and there is no way the people at the pool are any better than you, you are you and you can happily go swimming:D

Also I wanted to ask of you guys who have tried out both WW and SW which one you think is better. Especially seeing as I like tasty food, like vegetables and eat at weird hours!!
    QT

.... firstly QT, forget the time as it is totally unimportant. What counts is what you have, not when you have it.

I've done WW and also SW and I think........ it depends (perched nicely on this fence here). If you tell me how many WW points you'd get I'd happily tell you what I think. If you get less than 23 or 24, I'd be worried about how you'd get by, and therefore recommend SW. I get 29 points on WW though, so can find a place for the highly-pointed pasta and rice etc.

    Thanks

WW for me because all the veg is free as in 0 points, you can have masses of salad stuff which is 0 points, sugar free jelly is 0 points, their soups that are handy to have on standby in the freezer are also 0 points and you know exactly how many points you are allowed each day, can save some for special occasions, WW all the way:D

.........oh god, no. Victory was lucky that week - she had to put up with us but boy, did we have to put up with her? ;)

Pb59, strange results happen, they are a fact of life. Like victory says, the only way to deal with a freak result is to draw a line under it, file it under "unexplained" and stick to plan. It WILL come out right in the end

.....it's more than that, it's the food from heaven and a lifeline to us vegetarians.

Poohbear, sorry to hear about your gain, it could well be the drugs taking their toll. Try not to let it get to you enough to make you go off the rails(hard I know); keep going this week and see what the scales say next week. Big hugs:grouphug:

Thanks for all the good luck wishes, I'm happy to report I made it out alive :D Blimey, teaching's hard work :rotfl:After the initial 'Supply Teacher Syndrome' antics (I had to actually raise my voice!) they got all the work done (not enough set really) and we had fun with them reading out their sensational articles as overdramatically as possible. In truth it was hard work but I still LOVED it and am glad to have the frist one under my belt :D I wonder how I used to manage a whole day though, let alone a whole week or term!!

And now....drumroll please...... WOO HOO Vix!!!!!!!!!!!! :T:jYou've done it! And I love how it inspired you to do some exercise, the very thing you said you couldn't do on your own :T

I think it was me doing the Race for Life you're on about; still waiting for the entries to open, so if anyone hears that they have (I might miss the email amongst all my Freecycle posts) please do let me know. I'm really looking forward to it, I'll be aiming to walk this year though, maybe run it again another year

I'm quite excited as I've managed to locate and purchase a 'body composition monitor' :D It does the extra things my scales don't (muscle, water etc) so when I've got some batteries I'll test it out. By the way, I'd be interested to know what people think of the Times pedometer, as I'm not sure where my old one is and might get one( as it could help me see progress with my illness when it feels like there isn't any.)

Ooh, I never thought I'd see a fistycuff fight over Quorn :D I don't know who to back...Ajax? Victory? Ajax, Victory? I haven't tried either so may need to try both - did you say they're on offer Vic?

Suggs, shoulder pads are SO 1980s darling...:D

As for ironing, my mum used to iron EVERYTHING - pants, tea towels, hankies...needless to say, I do diddly squat! :D
