hi all,
just a quick one as I'm knackered - congratulations emmalis I'm so pleased for you.
WELCOME newbies to the thread.
Had a terrible weekend diet wise, chinese on Friday, chip shop on Sat, chocolate on Sunday and now we're having chinese again tonight.... simply because we've run out of gas and have been cleaning my FiL's house all day and my arms are aching -yes it really was that bad - think Mr. Triebus from a life of Grime & you're quite close.
I'm off for a bath in a minute, and will be back tomorrow for more cleaning but I will post from my WI - hopefully all the heavy housework will be a good CV workout.
Hope you're all well - dragon sorry about the gain. Hope things are better for you in the week ahead.Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -

. Dragon, I hope my lack of awareness for your situation didn't grind with you, and if it did then I am completely apologetic. I'd never want to annoy any of my good friends on here. I don't understand medication at all, and I do have trouble remembering everyone's individual situations but that's no excuse for not trying harder. Sorry again x
No problem Ajax - I sometimes think I should try harder and it is only the docs and DrDragon reminding me that I do as much as I can that keeps me on the straight and narrow!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Afternoon all!
A big congratulations to Emmalis, I've been rooting for you (so to speak) as I could see how important it was to you. Take care of yourself and the soon-to-be bump, really pleased you'll be sticking around.
Ajax, you have me in stitches, how rude are you! Nice one on the TV, I get what you were trying to do in sparing his blushes whilst making Mr T stick to his promise; fair enough. And thanks for the MB help, stored for future use.
Oh BB, I wondered if anyone was going to do something cool with the driftwood, will have to see if I can find some photos online. I'd love to come down and see it, and you, (OH is going home this weekend) but I just can't face it after Christmas  Glad you had a lovely time.
Suggs, big hugs for your situation, share or don't share, whatever you want we're here for you x
Missy, the naughty corner is in the kitchen so you can still make yourself foodSuggs, I was interested in yours and Missy's new scales as I thought about upgrading mine but now think I'll just get the muscle/water readings (which is what I really wanted) from a handheld thingamebob.
Dragon, Serendis made a v good point, it's not just about the WL (although I do understand that would help your pain too) - try to keep focused on the overall great thing you are doing for yourself, and keep getting support from us, that's what we're here for.
Vix, I looked at those candles but sadly they don't fit in with the 4K challenge (does anything?:rotfl:). Not sure what I'm going to do for my lovely man yet, but it'll have to be something amazingly frugal...Answers on a postcard please...
Bless him, he's been missioning in the bedroom (not like that Ajax) and we are now woodchip-free on the walls and ceiling (
) and nicely sanded ready for the lining paper (we can't afford to re-plaster). It's now going to be our office and our bedroom will be where I am now - I'm so excited about having a dedicated office :j None of my clutter will be allowed in there until I have sorted it, so it'll look bare for ages :rotfl:
Right, off to meet the Gorgeous One now - can you tell I'm well loved up?:o - so I'll catch you all later.
(ps this is quite random, especially as I'm not into celebrity at all, but I feel really gutted about Heath Ledger; such a waste.)
pps anyone else a veggie, apart from Ajax?The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

To go to this from what we had before is a bit of a shock. I'm still at the stage of thinking that it looks silly.
Well we had a little one we brought down from the bedroom:rotfl: :rotfl: now this one seems absolutely massive:rotfl:0 -
Congratulations Emmalis! Brilliant news!!!0

I always make my own basket(got the idea from the threads of the xmas baskets) I normally put in a bar of his fav choc, some candles or smellies or massage oils bought normally from the 75% off at boots or superdrug, an iou for a massage or whatever, this year I got a leather bound menu from the charity shop like they have in the restaurants which I am going to write on the computer and print it off and insert it into it, will make him a luxury dinner and he can see what he is getting:D the cellophane to wrap it all in is recycled to every birthday etc and the same goes for the basket, gets used again, have found some lovely baskets in charity shops, this year I bought the cellophane bag which is big enough to hold a teddy in, nice bow and in goes the ready home made basket.
I never let him buy me flowers on the day because of how the price escalates:eek: and we never go out on the night to a restaurant for the same reason:D0 -
Lcd/HDTV for the best value etc etc only having recently found out about Quidco and now thanks to your post ajax (you little monkey
the poor bloke never stood a chance:rotfl: ) I think it would be worth me getting a cashback credit card, is this what you mean by stoozing?...I really don't use this site as I should
...
........nooooo, not at all, that's not stoozing, although a slow 2-3 month stooze on the card is also available. Stoozing in a nutshell is profiting from interest rates, either slowly (taking a 0% purchases card, only paying the minimum payment and keeping the rest of the balance in an interest account) or quickly (taking a 0% balance transfer card, paying the BT fee and again keeping the balance in a savings account).
The Abbey card pays 5% cashback on "grocery" purchases until July, up to a maximum cashback of £50 (ie £1000 spend). There are better cashback cards available than that, I just wanted another quick dip in the market before May in order to minimise the cost of this TV.0 -

For anyone that has the analyser scales, do your body fat %, water % and muscle % add up to more than 100%? Isn't it supposed to be a % of your body weight as a whole and if so, surely it should add up to 100% no matter what?
Hi missyg
My body fat is 23.2% and water is 52.6% however, my muscle 5 13.0 I guess that would be 5lb 13.0 oz - it can't be 5st 13.0lb can it? It doesn't give it as a percentage. My bone mass reading is 4.4 (lbs???)
I've never really considered what all the numbers actually mean before. Perhaps someone else knows?
