Congratulations emmalis!! That is SO exciting. Hopefully your baby will come 2 days early, as that is MY 22nd Birthday and Ajax's 50th i believe :p

I love babies. Id have one tomorrow if i wasnt a sensible mature person like i am :p And if i wasnt scared of labour, had a house and a full time job. But there we go :p I hope its a girl. I want a girl so i can paint the whole room pink. Thats all :p I have a very selfish view of motherhood! ha.

I wrote on your facebook wall yesterday too!

AJAX: Another missed opportunity to see a good pic :p You sound like the annoying kind of customer where you put all their stuff in a bag and then they say, "oh i dont need a bag thanks" Im like, you bloody well kidding me. I cant wait for my last week at work. 5 years of retail abuse will be put right back in the customers face!

... sorry to highlight that Dragon, it was only for clarity of reading, honest! Maybe if you are not losing, it just shows that you, within yourself, don't really want to lose? I'm sure that when you really put your all into it, it will be fine.[/quote]
Ouchy ouch ajax: I don't think you've picked up that Dragon puts her all into it but is thwarted by essential medication that causes weight gain, which is a very tough thing to cope with.
Really feel for you Dragon. I can only echo what seren said re the unseen benefits of eating healthily, which I know must feel small consolation. I really admire your constant ability to keep picking yourself up and having another go. Hang on the the 2lb lost this month: 2lbs a month would still tot up over the year.Even so..

Ooh, a neighbour! Hi Gpuk. (Definitely going to get some crumpets in now…Mmmm. You’ve started something) Yes, the sea is a great focal point. We went down yesterday to look at all the shipwreck wood piling up on the beach – some very creative sculptures being done by some.
We had a lovely picnic on Saturday peeps and I relished the crisps that Delly ordered me to have. It was so good just to be out and to see p..e..o..p..l..e.. Then I managed a half hour wander round the charity shops of seaford and picked up a couple of pressies for birthdays later in the year. Very MSE.
WishIwasrich – can I echo what other peeps have said: you need to be eating a sustainable balanced diet for the weight to come off and stay off. Don’t forget, your body will go into panic if it isn’t getting enough and hang on to the fat and then put loads more on. I eat loads with slimming world and have lost weigh sucessfully. Perhaps you just need to be reducing your portions: try a smaller plate?
HannahB – the good thing is you know why the weight has gone on. You are right to look at the bigger picture – the odd blip isn’t a problem, as long as you get back on the wagon then that’s great. And if a little break every so often helps keep you focused overall then that’s good.
Now missyg Ahem: as has been said – not to have gained this week would have been a baaaad thing. Visiting 7 st something was just a brief flirt with numbers. Making a habit of it may well bring out the much talked of, but rarely seen, bitey boot:D . Congrats on the sucessful grocery stretching though.
Suggs, don’t ever feel that sharing exactly what’s stressing you will be a burden to us. You’re a top bloke who supports the rest of us through tough times. And of course at the same time, no obligation to explain further either.
Emmalis –that’s great news, congratulations, another virgo on it’s way to join us.So are your cousin and you still on track with the 9 month thing then? Please do stick around.

Haven’t heard from kpc since she went under the deak over an hour ago. Let the girl up for air ajax!!
Have been doing a little de-cluttering today:j , so must be feeling a litle brighter. The 'study' has got out of hand. Doesn't paperwork mushroom when your not looking.

  • Just read this on bbc website article on working for McDonalds...

I also learned quickly that "Ajax is a verb"

Does this mean that 'to go under the desk' is 'to Ajax'?:D

Suggs, sorry to hear Friday wasn't great but at least the weekend was better. Hope everything works out OK soon. Did you enjoy your game despite the injuries?

Yes I enjoyed it thanks, the first scrum, as normal, made me wince a tad, but otherwise I was glad to be in the thick of things. As odd as it sounds, I dont like ben on the bench, as I always feel out of sorts when I join the game. Went to the gym and the knee survived too. Nice big bruise now appearing on the top of the knee though :o

On a side issue, I wore something for the very first time on Saturday during the match, Can anyone guess what it is???

Vix, would I be allowed to add you on facebook?

Emmalis, Big Big Congratulations on the news. :j:j

Surely to scrub would be to Ajax?? I keep getting soooooo close to buying a LCD telly and then changing my mind, nearly bought a Hanspree a while ago, pretty well rated by AVforums, but talked myself out of it  Ajax are you using SD inputs or HD? if SD is the picture good enough?

......hey that's unfair, I tried to save chappie from his embarrassment. I know it's not his fault that Mr T has a DTD policy, but it's my right to use it in an appropriate way. That's certainly not retail abuse. And what's more, I ALWAYS need a bag in Tesco - I get 4p off my holiday every time I take one in :)
Ouchy ouch ajax: I don't think you've picked up that Dragon puts her all into it but is thwarted by essential medication that causes weight gain, which is a very tough thing to cope with.

........I didn't at first Bb, I only saw it later :(. Dragon, I hope my lack of awareness for your situation didn't grind with you, and if it did then I am completely apologetic. I'd never want to annoy any of my good friends on here. I don't understand medication at all, and I do have trouble remembering everyone's individual situations but that's no excuse for not trying harder. Sorry again x

Suggs I'm using the HD inputs. It's the YPrPb rather than the HDMI. The picture is good enough through Scart/phono but only until you've seen the HD picture, at which point it immediately becomes not good enough. It's even a much better picture through the YPrPb on the non-HD channels.

Just managed to catch up with you all..hmmm...

...Congratulations emmalis :j :j and I'm pleased that you will be staying with us. Too many women view pregnancy as an excuse to pile the weight on; I once read an article that said a woman only needs to increase their food intake by about 250 cals from the 7th month  and that the increase in weight after birth should not be more that 7 lbs (yeah :rotfl: I can sense the lines of sight focussing) so perhaps you can be our guniea pig :D . Seriously though, I hope that you have good health throughout and that everyting goes well for you :j ...

...Welcome to some more lovely new folk scottishchick27, WISHIWASRICH and colnkits :j There are loads of different healthy ways to tackle weightloss, but WIWR do not starve yourself :naughty: , your body will just hang on to every little bit it can, weight loss will stagnate, you will end up feeling miserable and then start bingeing etc and be back to square one! Sensible planning and wise eating will help. I wish all of you success  ...

...Great stuff re the TVs :j a few weeks ago, I'd been googling 42" Lcd/HDTV for the best value etc etc only having recently found out about Quidco and now thanks to your post ajax (you little monkey :D the poor bloke never stood a chance:rotfl: ) I think it would be worth me getting a cashback credit card, is this what you mean by stoozing?...I really don't use this site as I should :o ...

...Dragon Keep at it, you insipre us and we all want to be for you :j I'm sure that you'll see better days soon :D ...

...There were lots of other stuff I was going to refer to, but suffice it to say that thanks for the funny posts a few pages back delly and kpc, a real tonic for the likes of Suggs and others having crap times...

...Your Great Purpleness - Your weekend sounded lovely, glad you managed to enjoy it :j well deserved and not before time time...

..can't decide what to get for dinner yet (and look at the time!!) so sod them!!:rotfl: ...
