    Bluecorn – sorry you feel a little disheartened at 1lb: look at the bigger picture though and you have lost 9lb and Jan isn’t over yet.

    Interfloozie – it may be muscle you are putting on which will be good in the end –you’ll be a trimmer shape and muscle burns calories faster than fat.
    Granny – that’s a fantastic loss of 3lbs this far into your weight loss:j . Well done on passing the 2 stone barrier. It feels so good to know it ain’t coming back doesn’t it.
    QT – it sounds a little like you’re not following any sort of plan, which is fine, but I wonder if you are stabbing the dark a bit which is why nothing is coming off? Also, perhaps you need to not see food as good and bad foods. All foods are good but some need to be taken in moderation: it sounds like you’ve sussed some treats for yourself now –much better to have some that are better choices than before than be deprived: that is simply not a sustainable way to loose weight and keep it off. One of the reasons I feel fairly confident of not putting the weight back on (though watch this space, I've yet to prove it!!) is that I know what I did to make it come off so I just need to keep doing that (well not the being ill bit at the end obviously!!). And I ate well too.

    Thanks BB you are right, I have no real plan, this is the first time I am really serious about losing the weight, because I have come to dislike the way I look. So I am going to take all of your advice, and see this as a change of lifestyle, something that is going to make me more healthier and happier in the long run!

    When I finish uni I will probably do the WW or SW thing!

    Awww thank you. It sounds really boring but basically just sticking to WW totally. Counting & writing everything down.

    well done everyone this week!!!
    am having a strict week so can get that extra 1/2lb off so i'll have lost 7lbs!!!
    have a fat picture now on my cupboard and a skinny one to keep me going!! (well slimmer me photo)

  • Hi Brightonbelle,
    My daughter goes to her fathers house every other weekend, she was there weekend just gone. That is one of the reasons I think she has put on as he doesn't take much interest what he gives them while they are there. But on the other hand my daughter is old enough to know what is good for her and what not to eat. But that is another story! I'm sure she'l lose this next week though with my help.
