Victory I'm thinking of you and sending as many positive thoughts as possible. Friday isn't far away, although it must seem like a really long time to you. My advice, worth nothing I guess, is to write down some of those negative thoughts ... it might help to put them to one side for you even if just for a little while. Those dark places, for different reasons, are there for all of us and anything that pushes them away for a bit is worth doing.

Thank you to all for posting in big bold colours ... I bet I've still misssed some.

The spa was fabulous. The food was too, and plentiful. Not expecting a loss or a sts tomorrow, but it was worth it.

  • Well folks Im back, Daughter is home and ok (for now), Really struggled whilst in hospital all the time and last week I gained 2lb so that peed me off even more than I was and although tried this week I stayed the same, So Im still yet to get that stone. I do seem to have lost the focus a little and although Im not bacon buttying it or crisps in work etc Its the things like no fruit or water again now.

Anyway, Dunno who is doing the list, I left on page 34. I aint going back through 31 pages !!!

As said, Last week gained 2lb and therefore stayed with that 2lb gain this week.

Hey bluecorn, it's great to have you back. You may have missed all the messages wishing you and your daughter well. You've had a tough time, and done well to only put 2lbs on: this is life and it has a habit of rudely interupting.
Is there any way we can help you refocus. Remind yourself why you want to get this weight off. It won't have done any harm to have few weeks 'off'. And you have already stopped the weight going on any further. That's a good restart. It's always the bigger picture you have to remmeber and getting back on the wagon is what makes the difference in the end. You want to fit in time for the baby in a few months to maximise your energy levels. Get buying some fruit and rinking that water.
Really so please to hear your daughter better for now - that must takes it emotional toll on all of you.

kpc - I've always had to keep the syns down to 6-7 a day to lose weight on SW, but then I do lead a fairly sedantry life. Allowing myself about 10 now I am maintaining. Do you have the full 15? If so, reducing them may be the way to go.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once
  • thinnk you are right bb- i did okay with the full 15 before but I was doing more exercise then so I will try reducing it. I know I ought to exercise more but going to the gym just made me so miserable that I don't think it was worth it. Welcome back Bluecorn! glad to see you back. And well donefor staying off the bacon butties.

bless you ness for your support for our victory. welcome to the lw thread. Victory, just ignore that message from your mum. She's probably desperately worried about you and just doesn't know how to communicate it. just send her a mail like you never even saw hers, i'm sure you'll be fine.
  • I feel SO guilty only posting my wi result and disappearing again but those clouds that I thought had passed came back with a vengance and its been a struggle getting out of bed.

Anyway I lost 1lb this week, not brilliant BUT it takes my total loss to 135lbs which isnt too shabby ;)

I cant believe 10 stones is just round the corned
  • Hey all, had my induction at the gym yesterday. I met 'Simon' who weighed me on one of those body fat % scales. While I was pleased that it weighed me 4.4 lbs less that my scales at home! was a little shocked (but not entirely) to see my body fat % is 46.9%!! Almost half my body!
    I should be between 17-24%.
He gave me a few good tips on how to keep the fat burning, and wrote me out a plan. 15 mins on bike, 15 mins on x-trainer & 15 minutes on treadmill! I can manage the bike & x-trainer fine, but 15 mins running! I can just about manage 5 mins, so will speed walk the rest, and the next time try to get 5.10 mins and build it up.
I have to make a note of the distance cycled/jogged and he will review it in 6 weeks.
Was so nice to get in the pool afterwards!
I'm still going to post my weight by my scales at home each week, as it's my 'standard'.
