Lose Weight 18

Hey everyone!
I've caught up now after 2 days of ebay parcelling! Nothing much to report on the weight front, I could do with putting a couple of lb back on to get over 8 stone again so I'm being quite relaxed. Had fun yesterday trying to buy a new belt for my too loose trousers - the belts aren't small enough (even the small ones). How messed up is this?! :rotfl: I did get one in the end, and hopefully I can get some advice on how to punch more holes in it without ruining it.
Vix - they used to do free listing days on ebay, but I haven't seen one of those for years  A lot of people over on the ebay forum seem to think ebay are trying to 'squeeze out' the small time sellers (changing the rules, introducing more fees etc). I'm getting shot of my junk now before it gets any worse!
Cazzdevil I'm enjoying hearing about your mountain biking! I used to love it until I had a particularly nasty smash on a descent in Portugal (how I wish someone had it on video, apparently it was proper drama!) I got pregnant after that (not directly after) and now I only have a road bike. Please keep posting about your mtb-ing
Petrichor, go on take the plunge and ebay some of that stuff! Or even if you don't, pleaseee don't put good stuff in the bin! There is always a home somewhere for usable stuff! I honestly don't think I have been selling anything special apart from my one high-value item. Apart from that, it's been the sort of thing that everyone has lying around at home. Suggs, it was mostly CDs, DVDs, books, clothes, kids stuff and a few other trinkets. Hope your shirts go well!
Victory, I hope all goes well with your appointment, without going into detail on here I do know first hand how you are feeling right now. You have PM. Positive thoughts
Purplecatlover, Bails has said what I would have said about the gym. Also, it depends if you're combining your exercise with a sensible diet, etc. I've made the mistake of doing too much in the gym and eating too little at the same time, and that slowed my weight loss right down.
FFM, 3lb loss, haha well done, good to see I'm not the only one who can't get to grips with maintaining!
Suzy-Qu - as others have said, that doesn't sound like you're eating enough. Minimum daily intake should be about 1,200 cals/day and I reckon what you posted yesterday wasn't even 700. Add on a decent breakfast and a snack during the day and you'll probably see results
Nessa - thanks for posting here, maybe you'll stay and chat more? I lost 3 stone last year, the same as your targetCongrats on giving up smoking too.
Bluecorn, welcome back, glad to hear DD is OK! Forget about the 2lb gain, your focus was elsewhere as you said, and rightly so.
Brighton Belle - I really do admire the way you always have sensible advice and are so willing to take time to help all of us on here. You're a proper diamond you are!So happy you're feeling better
Raphael - 15 minutes running is too much to expect right off the bat. Speed walking is the way to go, interspersed with bits of running when you feel ready, building it up over time. Oh cr*p I've just worked my way through the posts and Bails said exactly the same, but phrased it better, yet again!
Efrieze - temporary blip that's all! Please don't feel sad or disheartened, you are one of the most successful LW people on this thread.
Starlight - why is 1lb loss "not brilliant"? I think it's pretty darn brilliant.
Congrats to everyone else who's posted a loss this week0 -
Thanks missyg
I will be back tomorrow to let you know the (good or bad) news on my weigh in.
Good luck to anyone else going for it tonight.

Welcome to the thread 123money - I'm sorry to tell you, it's almost impossible to lose fat off one specific area through dieting. You can use excercise to improve appearance and muscle tone and certain foods would make your tummy appear bloated (beans etc). ..... You could try yoga or pilates for exercise which focus on your core muscles - the ones that wrap around your body in the middle, a healthy diet with a good variety of veggies and whole grains and lots of water should help with any bloating and to lose any post baby weight but I have to tell you, after having DS 2 years ago some things never return to normal.
You could try disguising using certain clothes. Trinny and Suzannah have some good advice - try googling the littlewoods catalogue or T&S and you should be able to get their advice on the webp.
If you decide to stick to a healthy eating plan, stick with us and let us know how you're getting on.Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
Just about to finalise the chart update but still missing quite a few people ... I'll wait another 20 minutes or so.
Efrieze I empahise exactly with your desire not to post a gain ... but hey, 4lb, it's nothing. I'm recording a 5lb gain after three days of healthy eating at the spa. (can I be gainer of the week?)0 -
I have also put on 3lb. Doh.I am a fool to myself. I was miserable and I thought I would find happiness in the bottom of a packet of choc digestives (or three:o.) I was WRONG!!!! It is in fact, in the bottom of a bottle of wine :rotfl:
Well done to the losers!! :T (still feels wrong calling someone a loser...)
Okay I promise to get off the naughty bench next week. I have made a commitment to do a little more exercise, as I have back (and this week, neck) problems. xI have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off

Oopsie. Seems like I started a trend. Don't worry grannynise, freshly full tummies always seems to overstate the actual gain so hopefully it will reduce over the coming days as you (and the rest of us) go back to Day 1.0

Congratulations to the SOTW, Cazzdevil and the SOTW on the maintainers bench, FFMonkey. A stunning total weight loss overall this week...I hang my head in shame for my contribution. (But it was fun.) Lots of people haven't posted or I've missed their posts ...0
