What are the shoes saying to you bb? Thank you for buying me?:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Take me dancing?:rotfl: Oh that shoe shop was so claustrophobic, I am so glad to be free?:rotfl: :rotfl:
You are doing very very well with your sts these last few weeks.:T . I'm sure we're all just willing the time away for you until this appointment. Can't come quickly enough.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
awww, victory, I'm so glad you're getting on better with your mil. YOu are in all our thoughts!
Petrichor, nice to see you posting back on the boards. I did dabble with veggie-ism once but it made me quite ill because I've alsways eaten a lot of meat. SW is good for helping me find a balance. I'm afraid I'm with Andrew Wheeler - in his book Eat Britain he says ' I do not think there has been a single moment of a single day when I did not want to eat bacon. It's like catnip for humans'
bit of a praphrase but oh so true.
squuueal! red suede!!!! bb!!! But you deserve it. And they were probably best friends with te purple ones you already got and now they can live together on the mantelpiece - cos you'd better not be hiding them away in the wardrobe.0 -

They are snuggling up together :smileyhea next to me on the sofa kpc: mantlepiece too far away - at least 3 feet.
With you on the meat front - I just love it: that's why SW has worked so well for me. But like you, it has helped me develope 'green day' ideas and get a few veggie meals into the equation.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
hi everyone, may i pop in and ask a question or two?
does anyone know of a uk equivalent to fitday.com? ive been using nutrachecks free trial the last couple of days and i like it but not really enough to pay for it when if i can deal with it being americanized fitday is free.
those of you who use the gym, how long after i start going should i expect to start seeing weight loss?
(assuming the increase in weight has been becaus emuscle is heavier than fat and my tape measure is not lying when it says im dropping inches that is).
thanks0 -

Ha ha KPC, it's the same even when you're a veggie! It makes not eating meat so much harder when you actually enjoy it  Recently though, I've been actually thinking about what I was eating rather than disassociating it, and that's makes it a whole lot easier to decline
LOL at the red suede shoes BB, nice one! I bet they were sobbing their little hearts out to be reunited with the purple ones; ahhh, a happy ending
A little sad story here tonight - a cat was run over right outside our house so we've been knocking on doors trying to find out whose it was. Seems it might have been a stray, was eating out of a bin bag when it was hit I think. So when OH gets back we'll wrap it up and take it to the vet, just to check for a chip - couldn't face it myself as it was hit on the head.
Apparently an old lady was taken into care a few doors down a couple of weeks ago and she had about 7 strays...no wonder we've seen a lot more in our garden recently. We even have one that lives with us, so we're up to 3 cats now (OH will kill me if I try and take in any more, but if I could just round them up before he gets home...:rotfl:)
Vic, give the yoga a go I say - I was always an adrenalin junkie, found the 'slow' stuff quite hard so if I can be converted, you might too!
Purplecatlover (you sound right up my street with a name like that!), it's difficult to say when you might start to see your weight change, it depends on what you're doing at the gym, intensity, length of time, no. of sessions per week etc. The main thing is that if you're seeing results with the tape measure then it's definitely working :T Sorry to be vague; if you want to post a bit more I might be able to give you a rough idea, everyone is different though of course. Can't help you with the website but I'm sure someone might know something. Welcome! The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Hi Grannynise
Could you please put me down for a 3lb loss this week, bringing my total to 45lbs.

aww poor kitty bails.
twice ive had a reply written and managed to loose it somehow. probably its time i went to bed.
gym im doing something there for at least 45 mins each day. today was 30mins step aerobics and 30mins abs and arms. tomorrow i have aqua aerobics and will probably go play on the bikes and treadmill for another 40ish mins too. effort on both them im slowly slowly building up.
the first two weeks my weight went up instead of down, the last 2 its stayed around the same. and tonight the tape measure says it lied last night (and i dont know what it said when i started but my shrunk in the drier leggings feel looser again).
im probbaly simply being too impatient but i want the numbers to prove im shrinking lol0 -
really p'd off. 0.6kg gain this week. I have stuck like glue to sw too and been really good. Ah well, I'll keep at it and see if i get the result next week. If not then I'l have to start thinking about dropping a HEA and maybe lowering the syns, see if that does it. Not sleeping very well either at the mo - OH is wound up incredibly tightly at the moment and it's affecting me too - having vivid, random dreams and waking feeling not rested at all. Will be glad when he heads off on Thursday, maybe I'll be able to settle then!
Bails, I am quite admiring of the fact that you are avoiding meat despite liking it. Is it the animal welfare thing that has got you going off it?
Purplecatlover you are doing a lot of exercise and building some really good lean muscle. Rely on your tape measure and your clothes as the scales might not ever change - when I was kickboxing intensively 4x a week I gained a stone but dropped two dress sizes.
like it bb - keep your friends close, your enemies closer and your shoes within easy reach so that you can pet them when they start to look sad. Good philosophy.0
