    what gym have you joined??

Cannons gym, in Plymouth (just 5 mins from me :D ) I think their prices are fairly standard, and the gym (in Plymouth anyway) is lovely.
They do reviews of your targets every 4 weeks to keep pushing you, or you can pay extra for a personal trainer.

QT2006, glad to hear you made the most of that meal and congratulations on your 2lb loss! You are doing great, I don't think that meal is going to hurt your progress at all.

Victory, lol - no, wasting food isn't the way to go! Martin would be cross! ;)

Raphael, enjoy your new gym! I used to go to Cannons and they were very reasonable I thought, think it was £35/month or so off-peak. They would also suspend your membership if you had injury etc, which not all gyms do.

Hope everyone's having a great weekend!
  • Hye Bails...RE the gym...

As the school gets a discount you could try asking them if you could possibly pay as you go due to the health stuff?

They'll either say its full membership or nothing but possibly worth a try

Ooh, do you live near the barbican then Raph? Tiny bit jealous:D . My granny was born in New Street, the Barbican, and my mother grew up around there and on the Hoe and Rusty Anchor.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once
  • QT, glad you enjoyed your thai meal - and you are right, when it's all you can eat you do HAVE to get your money's worth, it's important. Which is why it took all my willpower to walk past the 'all you can eat dim sum buffet' in Leeds today!

Well. I'm still alive so the raw lamb didn't kill me. I shall go and post it on the recipe thread now . . . .
  • Right, just a quick one before I disappear... Forgot to WI this morning, and Boots is closed now, so guess it won't be happening before I get back! Oh well.

    Have a good week everyone!
**"Cheer up, it could get worse" - I cheered up, and look, it got worse!**

I live in Cattedown, so not too far from the Barbi. Just taken Shadow for a stroll around the Hoe :D it's nice and sunny here, even if it is a little cold still.

hi guys. I was getting paid as i ate because i was taking a holiday day!

Lovelly day today, sadly im a bit hungover to have enjoyed it fully but last night was a good night! Wore a purple dress in honour of bb :p it was one of those dresses i bought AGES ago and have never worn but i decided to go for it, even if bra was on constant show (the tit tape failed me) Thank god it was a gay club! :p

Why cant we all live in the same town? i bet we would lose twice the weight! weekly meetings at the gym, plus other activities. Thats where i go wrong, not enough motivation on my own but with someone else im unstoppable. Unless its running, cos i stop very quickly then!!

anyway must go. We have roast duck for dinner, im really going off duck, could be the bit of food that turns me veggie.

Yeah, join the veggie ranks Vix! I'm almost there myself.
Just a quickie as OH is biting at the bit to put the roast on but wanted to say thanks for all your advice re the gym. Sorry I wasn't very specific - by 'gym' I meant gym, outdoor and indoor pools, sauna, steam, hydropool, tennis courts, exercise classes, golf course and driving range and use of grounds and facilities plus cheaper beauty treatments. I agree with all of you, it IS a lot of money, I'm just trying to figure out if I would use it more as it is so ridiculously close. My current gym package is £30/mth off peak use, and I only go about once a week at mo  I need to have a serious think about whether it si the best thing for me; will let you know!
Hope you're all well, will check in tomorrow, lots love xx
ps thanks for that link BB, looks awesome will have to check it out properly later
