  • Victory, hope all is well for you x Glad MIL is happy (and easy to feed!)

I'm out for dinner again today, this dieting thing is a real pain! So will enjoy as my friends are treating me - this birthday has got to be the longest ever - not complaining though, feel like a princess, been spoilt rotten! 27 cards!!! One year, when my girls were really little and I wasn't working - I only got 4! off the girls and hubby, my mum and my sister, - I know it shouldn't have mattered, but I was a bit depressed at the time. Just can't believe how much I'm remembered these days!

anyhow have a lovely weekend all x

Just popping in for a quick catch up before getting started on more of the great photo sort out, ebaying etc... hope you are all well and having a good weekend so far!

Hugs for Victory - thank goodness you have got yourself an appointment and not left it any longer. Sending you loads of positive vibes!

I haven't been very good foodwise this week, there have been some Pringles, biscuits and a couple of other goodies which have been sitting around in this house FAR too long! As I had a decent loss on Monday I decided this was the week to eat up and get them out of the way :p So I'll take the weight gain, lose it again the following week, and be happy that nothing went to waste!

£400 on a pair of shoes - now that is obscene!! That's what I spent in India last year!! Now I know you didn't spend that much BB :D I bought a lovely, yes purple, pair of shoes for my best friend's wedding last year (in Brighton actually, the shoes not the wedding) for £50 - I thought that was loads!! :rotfl:
Got to go and clean the bathroom, groan, see you all later. Things are looking up this end, well except for the bathroom :D
Vic, glad the MiL visit is going so well so far - someone on another thread I'm on is meeting her MiL for the first time today...and she's staying with them for several months :eek:

    Good afternoon everyone.
Just joined the thread last week and been catching up on the posts.

Victory Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

BB I just love the colour purple. Ive hankered after a pair of purple doc Martins for a while now. But at my age well Im not sure plus DD would probably kill me.lol

Havent had a weigh in yet. Is Wednesday the chart day? Ive been fairly good. Just had a gammon steak SW chips and a egg for lunch. Done quite a bit of housework so thats the house tidy and me exercised.

Hi Boddy! Purple is my favourite colour too, and KPC's as well!
Yes, Wednesday is chart day - you can weigh whenever you like throughout the week and Grannynise will pick it up and add it to the chart on Wednesday evening. She's asked for it to be either in bold/highlighted/in colour so it's easier to spot!
Hope you get a good result for your first week and welcome to the gang!

  • glad to hear your birthday is going well bargain babe. Mine stretched out too this year - couldn't get all friends together so went out again and again - which is nice but plays havoc with the diet. Am being very brave and making lamb tartare for tea which is great for SW and I'm dead sure the meat was good so it won't kill us. If i'm not dead by Tuesday I'll post the recipe - it's one of Jamie Olivers! Also been a bit naughty and bought a new cook book called 'muffins galore'. *hangs head in shame*. HOWEVER . . . am being v proactive and going through it now and working out syn counts for any and all that I like the look of so I don't end up snarfing 6 down and finding out their 15 syns each. Most are about the 10 mark so easily manageable!

Glad to hear the weekend is going well Victory. Have you confided in mil? She may surprise you and it might help bring you together a bit? maybe? slap me if it's a silly idea of course!

do the shoes still look good bb? lol!

I have a hate relationship with shoes! Ive always had trouble with my feet from birth so walking has always been a painful experience with the consequence of shoes never fitting me! I would spend £400 on a pair of shoes that were comfy! Although, the only shoes that fit me really well are from primark!! £4 these pumps are, and they are magic. Last a long time for £4 too. Much better than the mountatins of £20 ones fmom M&S and next ect.

While were at it i bought a pair of black suede knee high boots today from faith! £20 off so they only cost £25! Bargain. Im going to wear them tonight with my black and white dress, or purple dress. Havent decided yet!

Today has been fab, went shopping in the morning then had a meal at frankie and benny's. Really nice. And i got paid for doing it so yay all round.

Weight loss not to plan though!!!!

Granny: Have a fantasic time at the spa. I went to one in maidstone last year for my mums 60th. It was lovelly. Apart from when i had to strip down to nothing and wear a paper thong for the all over body salt scrub. I was lying on my front and she was doing my thigh and bum, JEEZ i could feel my fat wobbling like there was no tomorrow! V embarassing. She was around my age too and thinner than me so it was even worse. It was all good in the end though!

I keep nearly putting my foot in it when i mention brighton. Ive realised mothers day is on the 2nd isnt it? and matt suggested taking mum out for a meal and i nearly said no we cant cos we will be..... oops heh. Fast talking got me out of that one!

anyway, better go. Only came on to say bonjour while my other half plays a video game and arsenal loose terribly!

Ooh boddy, I'm no spring chicken but I've got a pair of lime green DM's which I love too. So I say go for it. Mother's are supposed to embarrass daughter's aren't they?:D
£400 !!! NO way. But a tad more than £50. Might have been nearer £100. But I wore then today to birthday bash and loved them, and they were easy to walk in so no regrets. And shoes last me for years.
And guess what !!,- I expected to rightfully, be dutiful and sit with dementor at the sit down meal - but there were place names and I was placed the opposite side of the room from her :j :j next to a wonderful couple of aging trekkers (no not star trek fans, they lead walks/treks in Nepal.) Had a fabulous time.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

I thought about it, she has become very mellow, calm, funny, happy, pleased to be here, it is all going very well, says thank you for everything, plays with the kids, sits and behaves herself, it is very different to how it has ever been:D very good, all my family know, my sis has just sent me a web page that says 85% are benign, not to worry etc, but I do and I am;)

glad you had a fab time bb XX
