Well I'm pleased to report that I HAVE lost weight this week but I'll wait until tomorrow to put the actual loss in (you never know, it might drop down again by tomorrow night!).

The boyfriend and I got out for another 25 miler on the bikes yesterday and because he was on his cyclocross bike & I was on my mountain bike I had to push the pace a bit to keep up so it was an extra effort that I'll really benefit from in the long run. We've made plans to meet up with a couple of fellow mtb'ers next Sunday so the ride in total will be an all-dayer at about 50 miles + a ferry journey :T

In lieu of burning all those calories yesterday I did a home made "Pizza Hut" tea - garlic mushrooms, oven baked potato wedges, garlic bread, salad, and a home made pizza (that way I can control how much dough I use for the base & how much cheese I top it with). I actually don't think it was too sinful...

Anyway, I hope everyone's looking forward to being losers for another week! Good luck everyone xxx

    Cor cazz, that is hardcore!

I remember when i went on a bike ride with my boyfriend, man that was an experience!!

I ended up having numerous paddys, I threw the bike down on the floor more than once, i was swearing and i think i even cried at one point! All for a bike ride! Was a good work out though :p

I may go for a walk later, althrough its half 10 and as of yet ive still done zero college work!

I'm caught between a rock and a hard place at the minute because I really want to go mountain biking to interesting places with big hills and technical descents and whatnot, but I can't get there until we get the insurance money for the car (some idiot smashed up my parked car before Christmas and is stalling with the insurance company so we can't get the payout for it). So for the time being we're stuck doing (relatively) mundane rides from our doorstep. Owts better than nowt though I suppose :)

Oh Cazz, owt is definitely better than nowt, I promise!!
Delly, so sorry to hear how your FiL is being - would you feel able to voice how much work you out into the house so he can appreciate what an effort you made? (I know he should be able to see this with his own eyes but...)
Well done on the loss Raph, you seem to be leading the way every week, well done! Missy, the body is a mystery sometimes eh? Fantastic news on your Ebay stuff :T Victory, enjoy a week without the kids, bliss!

Went to my relaxation class this morning, which is now a yoga class... I enjoyed it, not sure how I'll feel though, will have to see. To be honest, I've been feeling quite frustrated recently  If anyone else needs a bit of perspective, watch or read The Dving Bell and The Butterfly (in cinemas at the mo) - an incredible story of determination (it took 200,000 blinks to write the book).

Hi all - hope you are all well

Grannynise - can you put me down for a 1lb loss this week too - that takes me to 40lbs off and only 2lbs away from 3 stone - that's the most I've managed to lose before giving up - and its all thanks to the help from you lovely lot.

Sorry - I still haven't been able to catch up - hopefully I'll sit down at the weekend and try to read through the hundreds of posts I'm missing out on.
  • cazz sounds like you are doing some serious exercise - go you! Nice to see Raph with another result too . . . . well done!

Very chuffed as I managed to stay on plan all weekend, even though I was on my own. I do have a tenency to binge eat at weekends and really mess up my weight loss so I am enormously chuffed that I kept at it. Lots to do now - having to limit internet use to lunchtimes (someone has been telling tales in the office!)

I hear you on that one, I'm usually in alone on Saturdays (oh at work) so I get bored and spend all day eating. Well done for sticking to plan though :j
  • Totally out of things at the mo, but there's nothing like like reading about other peeps' problems to put your own into perspective, so...

...Fingers crossed for you Vic ...

...delly Those pictures showed a lovely, cosy home and I felt so  for you when I read of your visit after just a day or so (I think a knee in his 'nads wouldn't be undeserved ;) ). If you would like to come and do my place up, I can guarantee that your efforts would be greatly appreciated :D . I'm sure you'll soon get back on the wagon foodwise, you're too strong a character to let it go for long...

...missyg I keep reading here and elsewhere, about your success with the ebay stuff :j well done :j . I have a load of stuff that I could do with getting rid of, I normally just dump it in the bin etc even if it's good stuff. It's basically laziness on my part together with the thought that I can't imagine anyone wanting to buy it:confused: . You must have a better class of rubbish! :D One of my aims this year was to be more MSE and use this site to the full, but as soon as I seem to start to turn a corner there's something else lurking ready to knock me back down. So keep posting, I need the inspiration, and, well, you never know ;) ...

...Bails I now eat more meatless meals than I do meat, especially since I've found Quorn. Last year, my weight loss seemed better when I had pulses, lentils etc which I prefer to anything at the moment. My digestive system ;) was a lot healthier too. Two of my most used recipe books are vegetarian ones, that I bought a couple of years ago from those book shops that sell them at silly prices, instead of £20 they were selling them for less than a fiver; didn't think I'd use them so much :j . I'm not sure whether I could go full veggie though as I'm sure that I'd overdo it; I wouldn't trust any pub/restaurant meal to be truly free of animal products even if it has been designated as the vegetarian option (I think sometimes it's just lip service :o )unless it was a truly veggie place run by veggies...

...I know I'm a few days late with this but - Hi and welcome to DonnaDoop, I hope that your getting into the swing of things. I remember that you said that you don't eat much, so it could be that perhaps you're eating the wrong stuff, or indeed eating more than you think (my experience:o )so a food diary may help, anyway, stay with us and I'm sure that you'll soon shed the unwanted lbs :D ...

...:j raph :j even if it's not as much as you wnated it's still in the right direction:D ...

...sorry.. rambling.. I know that there was somrthing else but my brain has frozen, never mind, you have been spared :rotfl: ...

    xxxx
I wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latter :p but my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

Thank you for all the good wishes, I keep feeling it willing it to go away but it hasn't happened;)

House very quiet with no kids until Sat, bliss, enjoying the silence but is giving me more time to worry:rotfl: :rotfl: told MIL as you said kat she gave me a hug which made me sob:rotfl: asked to be kept informed, it is beyonfd belief how people can change and boy has she, she now goes to bed at 9.30 each night and before used to drink vodka until the wee hours, be horrible etc but now just a joy really:D crumbs even my mother has been nice to me, insisting I go private and get it seen to(never offered to pay for it though:rotfl: :rotfl: )

delly I can imagine how you feel, you tried so hard, you did so well, just be proud of yourself, you know you did good;)

bails MIL is heavely into yoga, never really looked into it myself but might do....

I keep making plans with God:rolleyes: if the lump is nothing I am giving up smoking, if it is nothing I will be a nicer person, if it is nothing I will travel more:rolleyes: oh roll on the appointment:D

kat you should be very chuffed with yourself about the weekend, I used to do that and know exactly houw you feel, I would be as good as gold all week and the weekend comes along and I would eat and eat for the sake of it, to join in, etc but now thanks to bails, missyg, delly ,beanilou, bb, and all the other fantastic posts on here when I wrote about it, I treat the sat/sun as a mon/tuesday and do not drift off, it has been hard but I have it sussed now, whenever it is coming on I go and do something else and refuse to blame it on the weekend xxx

  • Vixarooni - I've just put some Brighton info and a map in the post to you.SO DO NOT OPEN IN FRONT OF BOYFRIEND:D .It's a white A5 envelope with purple writing (pen curtesy of pet's secret santa)
Peeps, I am a very very very naughty bb spank.gif . I was sucked back by an irresistable vortex to the 'expensive but gorgeous and you're worth it' shoe shop today...there's a pair of red suede shoes sitting next to me
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once
