For valentines day I have made a canvas with a picture of me and my husband on and my favourite quote. The canvas was from poundland and painted and I found some great bargains like a butterfly napkin ring to add on:

For my anniversary (two weeks after Valentines Day)
I am doing a picnic in his bedroom, already i have the picnic basket and blanket, wine glasses and wine and a few sweeties. I've made a bit of salad with warm chicken and a few sausage rolls (a bit of picnic food)
It depends what you want to buy and how much you spend but i reckon you could do it for about £5-£6

I bought a football programme for my OH for the year he was born. (I checked first to make sure his team actually won the game!). There are usually quite a selection on E-bay and, depending on the popularity of your team, you can pick them up for under a fiver (mine cost £1.84, inc p&P)

Not sure if this really counts or not...but my partner and I are going to go for a romantic walk up to the local butterfly farm. British Waterways have a nice article with some free walks and cheap/free attractions you can visit on Valentine's day too.
