Valentines fiVers

I've nicked the idea from Martin's Festive Fivers (it's ok, he's nicked them from me before ;) ). Basically I thought it's difficult for some who are on a tight budget to buy for their partner, others may be stuck for inspiration, and some might just be tightwads when it comes to romantic things :rotfl:

What are your ideas for the best, clever, weird, practical, thoughtful, or romantic Valentines presents you can buy or make, providing it costs less than a fiver (before delivery)??

Post them here and help someone out ;)

  • at school we used to send "my last rolos" which was a rolo sitting in a bit of tissue paper and wrapped in a fancy box :D
(just a good money-making scam by the sixth-years really, they'd charge us 20p each to deliver the rolo to anyone in school - this was in the days when a whole tube of rolos cost less than 20p!:rotfl: )

  • How about making a fun book of vouchers ?

    Theres a web site www.fun-vouchers.co.uk
You can print them off 4 on a sheet and make it into a booklet. Using pre wrote ones or you can make your own up.

Costs just the price of A4 paper and ink

I have used this site in the past when i have been very strapped for cash.

You can have great fun making up things that you promise to do ;)

I noticed that Poundland have started to fill their shelves with the Valentines stuff. They have snowglobes in the style of the Me to You bears, heart balloons with sticks (- I have had these before and they are fab!), furry handcuffs set, and lots of other bits and pieces.

For Christmas I bought my Grandad a box of chocolates where you could put a photo on the box and message of your own choice from Your Chocolates

I was thinking of doing this for my H and putting a picture of us on our wedding day. The delivery is as expensive as the chocolates so would take it to almost £10 - but its a bit different.
  • Do you know that Shrinkie stuff? You draw on it and then heat it up and it shrinks to 7 times smaller, its thick and rigid.

We have some for the kids, I was bored with painting lol so I wrote a love letter to my OH and painted hearts on it, I've shrunk it and its dinky and cute, he can fit it in his wallet and it'll last forever.

Just a cute little idea I hope you like :)

I'm making tiramisu for mine :)

I got an instant-tiramisu mix from Aldi for €2, and you could put the chocolate powder on the top in a heart shape.

Nothing says I love you like yummy dessert and two spoons.
