Buy a nice (cheap) vase and put some chocs in the bottom and will then write as many reasons as I can think of why I love him and put them on to seperate bits of red paper.... I'd love to receive something like that ...x

  • Hi Tigzem
I did a similar thing last year for our "first" valentines together. I got a little box and wrote lots of reasons why i loved him, what I enjoyed doing with him, what I wanted to do in the future, songs that reminded me of him, poems about us, all kinds of things. Then gave him the box. He thought it was lovely and really really appreciated it.
Trouble is I dont know how to top that this year!!!

Also for anyone thats partner is away (eg in the army) I got a picture of me (nice one) put onto a jigsaw puzzle. I wrote similar stuff as above on each piece of the jigsaw and every time i wrote him a letter during the 6 months he was away I sent him a piece of the jigsaw. He was well chuffed with it!
I know thats not specifically for valentines but it could be adapted :)
  • Tigzem, thats a FAB idea!! I was trying to think of something unusual and thoughtful for my hun for :heart2: Valentines (our 1 year anniv is 12th Feb!:j) and that sounds like something I can do and he'll appreciate better than the normal Valentine's "toot" for want of a better word! :p
  • Ive commented on most of the valentines day posts on here!!

Im going to cook a very special, breakfast..im thinking the full monty..add a message on the toast (maybe using one of those imprinting things or even my own if i can figure how to do it..bit more personal..this kills 2 birds wiv 1 stone..we have to eat hey!!

Im making a card for him, going to print some pics of us for the front & inside write a nice poem or something...still thinking of other ideas..

Pastry brush with water to write message on bread prior to toasting should work, I did it once to write a nasty message to my older brother when I was younger lol

  • If the love of your life is into gardening buy them a red rose bush.Poundland have some roses just now with their garden range. They have loads of rude, cheeky and tatty stuff too and some quite nice gift bags and wrap too.

    What about one of these?

    :D

Play.com have Mood Toast stampers for £4.99 and a heart shaped frying pan for £6.99 (pre-order) - I've gone for both - not very MSE but I used Quidco and at least I can use them again afterwards!
