I'm going to cook dinner, making sure that it's something slightly nicer than the sainsbury's basics I usually get
and as a present I've written up the story of our relationship as a fairy tale and I'm going to find an old-fashioned book of fairy stories from a charity shop to put it in, covering up the text with our story. Corny but cute, I think  It has to be cheap because I'm spoiling him for his birthday the week before!

I posted this on the choc slab thread but for anyone who missed it I'm going to post again.
I made these chocs for my best friend for xmas (its a girl thing)
I used a heart shaped silicone ice tray. Melted some choc in a bowl and poured it into the silicone hearts. Then I put topping on the choc - I used chopped nuts, coconut & dried goji berries & left some as they were. When they had set in the fridge I just popped them out and put them in a clear box that I had.
I've since learnt that if I'd have used a cocktail tick to gently swirl in the plain ones then there wouldn't have been that big 'blob' of choc on the top of them
These cost about £4 inc toppings. (goji berrries were expensive)
And obviously if you make less then it would be cheaperSometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -

I am going to try to get the valentine gift for hubby for free this year.A wad of love vouchers printed from the site mentioned above http://www.fun-vouchers.co.uk/and a big box of condoms from the family planning clinic(can,t believe we have been buying them all these years, they are so expensive and I didn,t ever think of going to the family clinic until now).
I am even going to get a pal who works in an office to print the vouchers on her works printer so I don,t have to run out of coloured ink at home.Ink cartridges are soooo expensive!
He likes sweet stuff too so I could spent some cash on some nice tit bits like chocolate spread and can of whipped cream. That would all go to make a very nice hamper.
I am sure it will be appreciated. Not exactly romantic or subtle but thats what he likes."Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0
