I was at the cashline today and thought i would have a good old squint about to see if there was any cash around......... i found 5p.
That's £1.06 so far this year.....
Is anyone saving their money in a pot? Or just keeping track mentally?
This was my last psot here, 22/01/08 - and not a jot since!! and i'm still always looking!!!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Found a £1 coin on saturday! Not found anyting else all year though.
A friend had a Ukrainian staying with him about 8 years ago and he could not believe how much money he found on the streets - 2p here, 5p there. At the end of a week he would have £10 or more! However he walked everywhere and scanned the ground.
Is it a result of this country's financial situation that there is not as much to be found now or am I just not looking hard enough?0 -
I won 50p in the drinks vending machine at Ikea the other day!
Put 50p in, then realised I didn't have enough other change to buy the cheapest drink which was 80p, so pressed coin refund, and it gave me £1! 100% profit for approx 3 seconds work. Sadly it didn't work when I tried it again!0 -

Lol, I never find anything! Well, not really. I was in Tesco returning my value teabags and I spotted 5p on the floor. I couldnt get at it as there was an old man with a stick in the way. He got to it before me! Bless0 -
Lesson learnt is..Get a stick!! you can fight for the money then!!
I have found 3 1pences 3 days running!!..by end of year i am using all this money other people have "given" me to pay some of my CC off...cheers folks..keep dropping it...TO FINISH LAST, FIRST YOU HAVE TO FINISH....0 -
Nice idea for a challenge. I do a similar thing insofar as all the loose change I find in the street I put in my charity jar. Will empty it when it's full.
Also, I'd have to find more than one note before I'd hand it in. Finding a £50 might different tho. Anyway never happens!Student Loan Company Ltd: 17,805 (2.8%) Overdraft: 500 (Interest free)

I am superstitious. If I see the coin laying face up, I will pocket it. If I see it laying tails up, I will hand it to my son. Apparently that is the local superstition.Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money but you can't get more time0
