Just remembered something - a friend walks her dog on the local common and makes for the places where ...um how shall I put this?......chaps get together for fun and games. The morning after she always gets a nice collection of cash and has found a nice watch as well.
Is this what's called a cottage industry?

    Hi,
Like this thread, had not come across it before. But I dont get to spend much time on here. I will start from today saving mine in a separate jar. I usually find the odd coin here and there when walking the dogs or walking to work. Some very good totals for the year being reported so I better get collecting!

What amount would you hand in to the police? If I found £100 I probably would, probably even £30... not sure about anything less...

I think I once did hand in £20 and after a set amount of time you are suppose to be given if it hasn't been claimed, but it was (or apparently was!)

I think you paid for the booze at the Police christmas party.

Personally I wouldnt hand in a penny. If the money was in a wallet/purse id see it got back to the owner if there was ID but any loose money is mine.

I'd never go looking for money on the floor. If you enjoy it fine, but i'd rather appreciate my walk and the scenery than look at the floor for scraps that amount to next to nothing.

I've had my money bank on the side waiting for the first bit of coinage to go in, and I've finally got it! Only one penny mind, but if I find that everyday for a year, that's enough for a McDonald's extra value meal in 12 months time - yippee!
