  • Morning everyone and very Happy Birthday to Lillibet! Have a wonderful day.

Had a good sleep last night so I feel quite refreshed today. I got out of bed and decided to strip it and change it. All washed now and the duvet cover is drying in the TD (not OS but it is drizzling here and the airer is full). BM is on and downstairs has been hoovered as well as the stairs. Just need to take the hoover upstairs now to finish the landing. Then I'm going to clean the bathroom and take a shower.

Made the meat sauce for lasagne yesterday so I will make the lasagne today and refrigerate for tomorrow's dinner. Lentil soup is fab too and I somehow managed to get about 48 twinks from the recipe when I have only ever made about 30 before.

Peony I'm looking forward to Lark Rise to Candleford too but the trailers for it seem to show a few of the cast from the last period drama (for the life of me I can't remember it's name except that it started with a C :o Ahhh! Remembered. It's Cranford). The settings looked very similar too. Do you think they did a 2-for-1 when they filmed them? :rotfl:

Dony gal It was me who asked about coming out to stay with you yesterday. I don't know how anniestar (:hello: btw) is at emulsioning, etc but I have been doing all that recently so would be more than happy to do it in the sunshine. :rotfl:

Have a super Sunday everyone. xx

Hello all..................well, not done much so far except make a list of phone calls I have to make tomorrow, paperwork about the kids I have here needs bringing up to date -thats a 'tomorrow' job...............am going to attempt some painting this afternoon.............not decorating.............my son,for a joke last year on my birthday, bought me some childs water colours.............lol Some of them needed a hairdryer to make the paint 'puff up'..............hadnt got one then but I have now (freebie from a good friend) so I'll have a play about with them.........determined he's getting one of them for his birthday in April, plus at Christmas he sent me a 'sewa teddy' kit...........might even make a start on that so he gets that back for his birthday...................lol
Not productive household stuff I know but today I've earmarked for 'leisure', tomorrow is in my 'household book' for admin.......sorting out paperwork of all sorts while OH attacks the kitchen cupboards.
    Have a good day...........and whatever you do,enjoy it:j

    Good afternoon everyone:hello:
Lillibet - I hope you have a lovely birthday
DLB - keep with the no-smoking - you are doing really well. My DS gave up on 2Jan and has had exams for uni since but still has not smoked. I'm keeping my fingers crossed but I know it's hard. I hope things aren't too difficult for you with other smokers around next weekend!
OH is away now so I am sad as i won't see him for 3 weeks BUT I slept soundly last night without his snoringsmile.gif
Sinks and toilets have been swished and wiped and washing machine on with a dark load.
Been out for the paper and got an extra 100 tesco points (Sunday T) and went to library - another book I'd ordered was in - one on aromatherapy for everyday use. I'd forgotten i had ordered it and actually put my little aromatherapy book in the charity shop bag yesterday See? I am getting the hang of realising i don't need to OWN all the books.laughing-smiley-014.gif
Easy meals for me this week so having a kind of lazy day.
    Hope all are well
    Wen

Well, I've cleared my (soon to be) pantry out today!!! There were even some loose house bricks in it!!!. I've swept it out as best I can bearing in mind it is very dark in there. DDs took some stuff to store in the shed, bricks outside and some rubbish was thrown out too!!! OH says he is going to sort a light out for it, then I'l give it a proper clean so OH can put a decent floor in it-it doesn't seem to have any kind of floor in it really at the mo. (i'd like the floor to be tiled and it is only a small area but OH is having none of it at the mo-must work on him) Kids have gone to finish stripping a bedroom wall and I am going to go and help them in a min.
Guess I 'l have to mop the floor again just outside the pantry as you can no longer tell OH did it only yesterday.
Right better go before the kids lose their enthusiasm

    Afternoon everyone
It`s nice to hear everyone planning thier day and being really busy i caught up on half the thread a while ago and then ran off to do some cleaning and cookin etc and now i`m back for a few mins before i shoot off to w**k.
Just made 4 dinners with pork chops from the freezer as we couldn`t get a chicken this week, they`re all plated up to be microwaved as and when so thats todays and tomorrows food sorted.
The dog food is in the slow cooker waiting to be switched on tonight(all barring the frozen mince and hot water) so that should last ages.
The bm and wm are both filled, again ready to go on tonight and the kitchen is all sparkly clean.
I was going to attempt the ironing pile as it hasn`t been attacked snce last October  but i`ve decided there isn`t enough time.
Late shift today then doubling back tmorrow so i won`t have time for anything now until Tuesday so things will have to wait, the dogs are happily chewing on hide chews after their walk and i`d best move my behind or i`ll be late.
    Have a good day everyone!

    Afternoon all

What a horrid month this is going to be - we are well skint. dd11 is quite excited about us tightening our belts even more than usual and is coming up with loads of ideas like sitting in front of the telly all day instead of going for a sunday outing.

We have been out on the bikes to Mr T with a list and a meal plan and have spent .... £14.11 which should see us through till the weekend when the CTC comes through again. A rummage through the freezer has yielded some quorn fillets for her and some leftover turkey (of course) for me which will be magically transformed into a roastie for tonight's tea. The first load of the unpacking is in the machine and the house is looking ok. will bake some bread for the week in a bit and then some sewing.

    have a good day
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

Afternoon you productive lot - you're putting me to shame.

I've just got up and still in pj's - DH got up this morning and declared it a "Stay in bed Mrs Pooky day" - I've had brekkie in bed, read a whole new book (don't you love it when you can read it in one sitting) and been supplied with numerous cups of tea ..........what makes it even better is that he's done 2 loads of washing and loaded the DW.......and.........drum roll..........pulled the living room curtains!!!

    I'm only teasing Mr Pooky if you're reading :p He's a star.

I'm now eating cold pizza and have just had a cold beer poured for me........wonder if I can get him to cook the roast too.....

Hugs to all and Happy Birthday Lilibet - hope you're feeling better.
