Afternoon all...............((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))) if you need one......
Well I had a us night last night.............4 months ago I reported that my friend Em had water coming through the ceiling light fitting, the leccy came and made the fitting safe, the next day a chappie came and looked in the loft, a hole in the roof, yes it would be repaired..................last week I asked the SHO if the repair had been done and I was told that it had, but no one had been back to have a look in the roof nor had the leccy been to put the light fitting back, but I was not going to argue...........last night at 8.30 in the middle of the heavy raid, a phone call...........the rain is coming in again. So I went round to her apartment and sure enough the rain was coming in through in the same place. I called the emergency people who reported it and an hour and a half later a chap came out and cofirmed what I had thought all long, the repair had never been done............I was furious....I had been made to look a pratt infront of several of the other residents when I had asked about the repair, so when I got back to our apartment I fired off a letter of complaint to the head honcho, and believe me on Monday I will be on the phone to the housing office. Em is in her 80's and not able to cope with this sort of thing, she ges very flustered when confronted with problems. I had already spent several hours this week getting her bills put onto DD,s so she does not have to worry about paying the bills when they come.
This morning we went for our walk, I put a couple of loads of washing in and after lunch I set about doing some more card inserts...............My order from creative crafts came this morning, so I now have quite a few cards made.....I will photograph them a some point for your delectation..............
Stovies for supper tonight..................by the way sorry I have not been able to get at the bag, hopefully will have a try tomorrow and see how I get on with it.............Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Hello!!
Unexpected Saturday visit to MSE for me today. Got an invite to the local rugby club for lunch, so been reporting there. Very good game, lots of heart in mouth moments, but we got the result we wanted:T Very cold on the touch line, but a lovely afternoons. Now just playing with what I got ready for tomorrow.
Feeling good today after a proper night's sleep. Got tomorrow off, so going to do some sorting out and write a few letters that need doing.
Think I'm going to offer my services to a friend's mum if she's working the South of England Show this summer. I really enjoyed helping her out a couple of year's back, so it would be good to do it again.
Helped a friend make cheese sauce for her pasta yesterday. I've never done it before, only watched Mum, but it turned out great. I was quite chuffed with myself.

My OH also snores like a trooper and wakes me up even wearing ear plugs:mad: .
Feel quite wiped out today. Think tea will be something on toast. Off to put WM on and de-clutter a kitchen cupboard:rolleyes:
Have a good evening:A xxxxx0 -
thank you all for the birthday wishes.
well i've had a lovely day today,
FIL came round and changes the plug sockets in the living room, i've only waited 5 years for OH to do it! one of them kept tripping and i didn't want the baby to stick her fingers in it.
then i went into town and treated myself to some seed potatoes and loads of seeds for the allotment. off up there for the whole day tomorrow.
DD is sleeping at grandmas tonight, so i can have a drink and a lie in tomorrow.
watching harry potter atm and then off out later.0 -
oooh I have started on the flylady thread so feel an active spell coming on
But...as i've posted there, OH left for his 3 weeks of work this afternoon so am feeling a bit down in the dumps. Am off to watch a bit of mindless TV then will walk dogs round the block. Rain forecast for tomorrow (everywhere!!) so at least they will be dry tonight.
Hot water bottle for me tonight instead of warm cosy OH(although i often decamp to another room because of his snoring)
Have a good evening everyone

Main bedroom decluttered, decobwebbed and hoovered (not quite rearranged and still have to do normal stuff like change bedding and put laundry away). Now I've just got to live with 5 bags of rubbish on the landing as the front bin is full and won't be emptied until Wednesday ... no I can't, they'll have to go in the front garden regardless. That poor garden's beginning to look like Steptoe's yard. DH still asleep on sofa ... I think I can take a rest now after 10 hours work.0

Evening everyone :hello:
I hope that you've all had a good Saturday and Happy Birthday heather38!
Well, what a week it's been at school. The children are back with a vengeance and some of them have forgotten how to behave! Many thanks for all your very supportive comments last week. You're all superstars.:)
DH and I have had a bit of a lazy day. We were late popping down to the Farmers' Market, which only comes to town once a month. However, I was very good and gave lots of egg boxes to the "egg man". He's always so friendly and even though there are two other egg sellers, I prefer to go to him. Also got some yummy sausages and a couple of ostrich burgers, which we will be having this evening. I'd better go and start cooking actually.

Hi all,
Felt washed out yesterday so went to bed around 9...then couldn't go asleep and read for hours, so slept late again this morning!
Made pizza for dinner which went down very well...used fresh yeast and Lidl bread and was very pleased with result...about €1 in difference for 2 kilos so nice that it works so well.
Really need to do some knitting over the next couple of weeks...only one matin!e jacket knitted for DD2's expected baby, due 5th February and have promised a hat to DD4 who is off skiing on 24th so wool will be flying over the next two or three weeks!
Heather38...happy birthday even if its late:bdaycake:
Hugs to all in need or want

Evening all
I have read the thread - in bits - so hugs/:beer: /:T abd :rotfl: too whoever needs them!
Managed to loose DD's today to Inlaws :j Was great as I'd got lots to do - 2 MS jobs, Mr T's shopping, shoe shopping for Mr Pooky at the local outlet place... (was surprised actually as it normally takes hours of - no that digs in there - no that might rub there - no those are the wrong shade of black) He managed to pick up 3 pairs - try them all on and buy 2 pairs (buy one get one free!!) We then popped to M&S and Mr Pooky remarked - oooh socks - I need some and proceeded to buy "buy one get one free" packs of 5 socks and used a voucher I had for £2 - so 2 pairs of Clarkes shoes and 10 pairs of socks for £37.50 :T
One MS job gave us £5 of free shopping (spent wisely), the other gave us a free drink each  Came in underbudget for Mr Ts, thanks to a £6 off a £30 spend voucher and the lovely girl gave us 20 points for reusing 3 bags.
Made 3 large HM pizzas for tea along with dough balls and coleslaw - everyone's now full and there's near enough 2 pizzas left for lunch tomorrow and lunchboxes on monday.
All in all a very moneysaving kinda day.......we'll just forget about the £68 of diesel it took to fill that car - and with the amount of miles DH does a week that will be gone by Thursday.
Hope you all have a great evening."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0
