Morning all
Chilly start to the day here, I had my museli for breakfast & will do full Enlish for hubby in a while.
Today I'm determined to sort out the study & my bedroom throughly. I keep doing both the rooms, but always seem to leave a bit of stuff behind, which then get added to!
My bedroom is the biggest problem, we have 6 drawers and in it we have mine & hubbys clothes all our bedding & towels. I think I'll try & get a couple of underbed bags to keep some of it in. At present half the is on the floor & driving me MAD!!!
Have a sensational Saturday.
Hugs Hester

Sola - I also have a snoring 'person' and I decamped to another room about 2am so have had a decent sleep!! OH leaves today for 3 weeks tho but even thinking about that, I couldn't stand the snoring!!
Welcome cheap as chips - I haven't been here very long at all but just love it. It is a real community isn't it?
Must join the flylady thread as I pretend to be a flybaby but really I click the emails and think 'that doesn't need doing' etc. But...the house is MUCH better and I'm more organised since i joined about a year and a half ago. Back to baby steps for me.
Change of plans for my tea tonight as i have some cooked potatoes to use up and half a can of canelloni beans so am going to make a curry with it. Yum.
Drive safely all you peeps with icy and snow.
Hope everyone has a good day

Mornin all.
Mrs Mix, I've read on other forums that to get through the forms, some people fill in 2 questions, then put them away for the next day. And write out your answers on scrap paper first so you can go back and make changes to get your answers as detailed as possible. I know they are horrible to fill out, but persevere. We'll support you!
Sending DH out to Argos for those silicone bakeware today. Trainfare for us is cheaper than paying postage.
Going to the next door neighbor's for dinner tonight..... haven't been before so not sure what we're getting...........
Eating toast right now, so I bet tins more peeps will have posted by now.
I'm getting fed up of wearing the anti-embolism stocking on my left leg......... but I guess I'm stuck wiht it until Tues. when I go back to get my stitches off.
Switched to ibuprofen today as I'm out of the anti-inflamatories from the hossie.
It seems it's prety cold out there as my long-haired cat has come inside and
a: insisting on warming up her feet on my lap
+
b:her fur is completely puffed up and she has her full 'Elizabethan Ruff' on
She looks twice as big as she actually is! And she's just seemed to realize I have a bandage on my right foot, and is batting at it and sniffing like crazy. She's not actually hitting the foot, just gently touching it...............
She has always been careful about stepping on that foot, our other nutcase cat seems to prefer to step on it........... esp when I am in bed and he jumps up........
LOL
Well, it' s taken 20 minutes to get this typed out!
Hope everyone has a good day, and drive carefully if you have to go out.0 -

My cousins rang from London last night, they're planning a long wk end visit for next week end. Looking forward to that!
Need to sort out some money saving ideas for fancy dress for my daughter. The school has decided to sponsor the RNLI, and on that note, would like all the children to come to school in fancy dress. Im hopeless with imagination like this! Ideas so far is a water theme, sailor, mermaid, fish, fisherman etc, but what items/clothes can I use for this?
Right best be off
Have great day

Sola - I also have a snoring 'person'
Yeah it's no fun - not only do I have DH, I have anything up to 6 snoring/fighting/scratching cats on the bed as well so feel like a stressed contortionist like Houdini on uppers! It gets to the point where I just want to burst into tears, lash out in all directions and send the duvet flying, so I depart for quieter portions of the house.0 -
Morning Everyone
Sorry about the redundancy Pen-Pen, its such a shame I'm sure that more people than ever will need your expertices this year.
DD got up early this morning but we have been playing and doing some of a workbook in a magazine I bought her the other week. Shes trying to read so I'm going to see if I can get some phonics books from the libaray to see if she enjoys them, no pressure but I don't want to hold her back if she wants to learn.
Got to finish my dad tax-return later so that will be fun and with a bit of luck I may be able to persuade dh to go and have a look at kitchens.
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -

How on earth do you manage with so little storage? we have the cloth type wardrobes from Argos - about £25 - £40 each as they are low and fit under the sloping ceilings in our room, also have underbed storage boxes too.Plus Dh bought a cheap pine chest from B & Q thats at the end of the bed for all his bits and bobs!Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Morning everyone :hello:
Mrs Mix.....I cried at the DLA forms too.Remember to photocopy them once you have filled them in and don't be scared to ask for help.
PenPen...Sorry there wasn't a glimmer of hope at the meeting ((((())))
Hester.....Argos have underbed storage bags (canvas) 2 for £3.99
Shez....Enjoy the boat show and sorry your mum is having such a rough time. x
Guess what??? I just slept for 11 hours. :j :j :j
Unfortunately I'm now behind with the painting. The room needs to be emptied, cleaned, painted furniture put back etc by tommorrow afternoon.
I'm cooking the huge gammon that I bought reduced after Christmas for tommorrow. Problem is that it's 7 kilos.I'll have to cut it in half to boil it. and we'll be scoffing ham surprise for weeks.
Better go and make a start.

Morning all!
Gosh, I am shattered today! Yesterday I had work, hospital, then Asda. Very exhausting. But within 2 weeks I should know what the problem is with my hands, and when I see the Dr for the results, I want to get them to finally refer me to a specialist at Guys... so stressful!
Getting my new battery fitted today and will be visiting my family at the same time as Dad is fitting it! Then I'll be popping to Bluewater and holding as tight as I can to my purse strings as possible.
The wine man down the road is on Saturday Kitchen today, saw him the other day, OH says he is a nice bloke and gets litres and litres of freebies... good job, eh? Gosh that sounded like a load of gobbledegook, but hey!
Tomorrow or this evening I will be going through the fridge and freezer and meal planning like crazy as I took OH with me to the supermarket yesterday and will have £30 for the last 2 weeks of the month... should be OK but at the same time need to replenish some of our storecupboard items.
Have a good day everyone.
To those with DLA forms, I have my renewal to do-thing is, I'm to exhausted most of the time to even think about what I'm going to write. I need to do a draft before seeing the disability advisor and at the same time my GP told me to wait for my xray results, as then I have something to support me just writing about extreme pain and swelling in my hands. *hugs* to all of you, I find it so demeaning and tedious, but it needs to be done.

hi all
I just can't seem to find the time to post on the daily these days. Time just seems to slip through my hands like sand at the moment. As I was up early (I have already been to the supermarket and the retail park), I thought I would grab the chance to post.
Hi to all the newbies :hello: Quite a few new names, I see.
mrs mix I think some forms are designed to intimidate. Sounds like you will get lots of help and advice on the thread so don't panic just yet. ((hugs))
pen-pen sorry to hear your news. Hope the negotiations help your position.
Shez ((hugs)) to your poor mum. Enjoy your fabby day.
Donny gal can I come and stay with you for a week? (insert begging smiley here!) It sounds so lovely there.
Crazychik I can't believe your XDH didn't feed his own children. Was there any good reason why not?
I know that there are lots of other things that I should comment on - apologies to those I haven't mentioned. I have read the whole thread. Honestly.
Had a good night's sleep but still woke up with a headache. May need to have a wee nap and see if that can shift it. Plans today are to do some batch cooking - lasagne, spag bol, twinks, bread and some other stuff (depending on what I find in the cupboards and f/f)
Need to do some clearing out too - although the house is looking tidier than it did last week.
Was delighted to get an e-mail from Tesco today (how sad am I?). The bed that will go perfectly with DS's newly decorated room is *finally* back in stock and it's reduced in price!!! :j I was so excited that I forgot to check Quidco, RPoints or Topcashback but don't think I would have got cash back anyway as it's TescoDirect and not Tesco.com. Anyway, it's ordered now and will be delivered next Saturday.
WM is finished now so need to go and put the next load in. Have a super Saturday everyone. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."
