Morning all
All that lunch hour walking did me lots of good last week - lost 2 lbs
Been kind of boosted on by that and been good - even made choc chip flapjacks for the kids and didn't eat any!! Made some flapjacks for me with half the oats, sugar, marge, syrup and added lots of sesame seeds, dried figs, raisins etc and have only been eating a tiny piece as a treat. No tooty frooties either
Will have to try MrsM's recipe just not with the apricots
So lunch time today - I'm off for another walk to get milk and bananas
Breakfast was porridge, lunch is leftover meatballs and lentils, tea is chicken stir fry and snacks are an apple, dried figs, and a tiny bit of flapjack
Hi frogga - glad you're back on the wagon
As for positives.... erm... I have naturally curly hair that everyone who has ever had a perm seems to envy ... I have unusual eyes that are pale green with a blue-grey outer ring. And I now have a "healthy" BMI after all the helpful weight loss tips;)
As for cutting carbs - Keiss OH started doing this so I have followed (mostly). Just the evening carbs we have cut down on so dinner is stew with no potatoes, no rice etc. Mostly meat and lots of veg in the evening. I have lost extra doing this and only really miss risotto (which i had last night).working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Frogga...can you get me back there behind you somewhere...not keen on your driving really but don't want to fall off either!
Something nice about me?? difficult one...suppose its my hair, which fell out in clumps when I was ill first in 2006 and then grew back curly...saving me a fortune as I no longer look as if I have slept standing on my head when I get up in the morning...also the fact that I have grey 'wings' at either side, small ones and my only concession to being in my 63rd year!
Two small slices hm bread with skim butter and hm raspberry jam, glass orange juice with DGS2 at 7.45...need coffee now...not sure what is for dinner...carbonara maybe and salad and fruit for lunch

I'm a bit confused by what Gingham Ribbon means, are we just to post recipes- like in the old style recipe thread- or are we being old style by being supportive emotionally, or can we carry on as we are but only post max twice a day.
Personally I like the thread as it is it works for me, although I know we are all different and I'm not in charge.
PS I'm loyal with a face that scrubs up well and under this fat suit I'm a Goddess:rotfl:0 -
Wend33 - Was inspiring to get a post from someone who had maintained their weight loss for such a long time, and by using sensible means. It shows that when we re-educate our mind we can be successful.
Positive thoughts are all well and good if we were writing about others on here, I can think of loads about other people but drawn a blank about me.DH likes my brown eyes and loves my smile. Apart from that the one thing people comment on is my voice. One of DH's mates said he could listen to my voice all day, to which DH replied he should think himself lucky he didn't have to!
Just had my Readybrek late as I wasn't hungry. Not a good sign. I had 2 choc cupcakes before bed.
Am going in search of healthier recipes today, and also very basic pasta and rice recipes, seeing as I've a stock pile in the pantry and I'm 'store cupboard challenging' till 1st Feb.
Newlywed - Congratulations on your 2lbs loss. Well done! :T
Frogga - Glad to see you've found the spring in your step again. We'll follow your lead.MAY GROCERY CHALLENGE £0/ £250

I just had a couple of (nice) pms to say that people were getting a bit overwhelmed by the old thread. I am not saying people should post a maximum of twice and I hope I didn't come across that way. I was just suggesting that as an option to keep it from getting too complicated to wade through.
I would hate anyone who comes on getting or giving excellent support to be put off by what I said.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
Don't stress Gingham , we get ya
the one you have to watch for is MrsM ~ always going off on a tangent and copious posts everyday, personally I'd ban her, but that's only me
Nice to here such possitive thought from everyone today, although I sense it was a huge effort from you Marie! I can think of Hundreds of possitive things about you , but they are supposed to come from you not me, try again!and as for you Cheerfullness , well, that wasn't very possitive was it? You must do better ! One possitive thing about you please, and no getting out of it!
Right, just got to keep busy til tea time as I've had me lunch. After tea I will brush me teath and that will be day 1 over with.
I weighed myself at work and it was bad, since Jan 1st I've gone up 7 lbSo much for trying hard  I now weigh 19 st exactly , which is actually more than when I started in Sept. Ooops! Need to loose 9 st so decieded to break it into 3 chunks. My Bronze award will be at 16 st, Silver at 13 st and I get the Gold when I reach 10 st. Good eh?
Hope everyone else is doing OK xxSay it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Brilliant way to tackle it Frogga. Breaking it down into manageable parts. I'm only aiming for a 2lb per week target. I can't look further than that, it's just to daunting! Good start to the week for me with the weigh in, lost 2lb . Done an hour on the bike this afternoon. But now have to decide what to make for tea..everyone else is having home made mince pie, think I'm going to go for salad and boiled fish (sounds like a punishment, but it's quite nice actually).
Something good about myself, erm, I used to do a wicked Frank Spencer impression when I was about 7. Could give it a go if you really want me to...?Blimey, it's actually quite difficult to think of something isn't it. Have to get back to you on that one.
Have a good day everyone.

Afternoon one and all

So far today i have had :-- 2 weetabix for brekkie
- some crispbreads with low fat cream cheses and tickled bunions -and an appple
- and for dinner im doing a fritatta using up some bits of home cooked gammon i froze, peas, peppers and mushrooms from the freezer, a bit of pasta, an onion, and eggs -oh and a bit of cheese -and we are having it with salad ...
woohoo frogga -glad to have you back where you should be -driving this thing ...just don't make me come and slap your legs againall that chasing you round the garden was very tiring you know :rotfl: .
Keiss21 -i bake bread by hand -sent the BM into the basement... i only ever used it to make the dough anyway..
My bread has no fat or milk and we love it..its stunning -if i say so myself
Taplady... hope work goes well -then 2 days off :j ... i try to keep an eye on my bread intake -as i could live on it..but now i have it a couple of times a week and really enjoy it.
Rockie4-hope everything goes OK today... and children are usually pretty honest -and brutal -so you MUST be pretty
Caterina..thanks for that link...ooooh all those seeds..someone stop me
Wend33 -im doing pretty much what you listed and it makes sense and seems so easy after years of dieting:p ..need to up the exercise a bit, but its working -so far
cheerfulness -i will dig out some more recipes... I will post them all on individual posts though so folks who just want recipes don't have to read my loopy ramblings:rotfl:
Well apart from vaccuming, dusting and mopping the floors i have done little apart from x stitching today..but will be nipping out for a few bits tomorrow -just for a bit of exercise more than anything... must shift that 1lb this week
right im off now-will post a recipe and then i will pop back for a gossip this evening... i even made myself post later today -that way i had loads to answer all at once...to keep the posts down as i think i may be the main culprit in the "many posts and crazy ramblings":rotfl:
talk to you later ladies
hope you all have a good afternoon -and keep up the good work..not long until valentines day now
Ok frogga you snook in whilst i was typing..trying to get me banned ehh? well who would keep you in line if i was banished? :rotfl:

Hi everyone, it's been a pretty good day today so far i've had:
Breakfast: Bowl of mango and a large glass of water.
Dinner: Pasta with a simple hm tomato sauce and 2 passion fruits. Can of pepsi max.
Tea: Going to have steamed chicken and veg. Will have some pineapple for dessert i think.
Snacks: i had a packet of sweet chilli ryvita minis on the walk home from work.
I did 30 minutes on my bike this morning, plus the walk to and from work and am meeting up with a friend tonight to have a long walk and a good old natter if the rain holds off. She also wants to lose weight so we're going to meet up and have a minimum of an hours walk together 3 times a week.
Something positive you say frogga hmmmm - well my eyes, bottom and boobsare the only aspects of my physically that get compliments, mainly from drunk men but hey, i'll take them
