..would like to get my hands on some of that..hmmm wonder if i can find seeds and grow some;)
Just finished dinner, it was glorious and I managed to remain within the SW parameters, by sauteeing the cime di rapa in 2 tbsps oil (total oil for the whole family) and using my cheese allowance for pecorino.
MRSM, check this link: http://www.seedsofitaly.com and do a search for turnip tops! Happy growing!
Good night all

BUT can I issue a reminder since I notice that the thread is already huge and it's only a day old. If people could try to keep their posts to one or two a day it would help a lot when people can only bob in every day or two as otherwise there's an awful lot to trail through.
May I suggest that if anyone has already posted but wants to reply to someone who needs help or support, that they PM that person (unless it's a recipe or anything that will help multiple people of course).
It doesn't matter to me but just wanted to suggest that in case it helps Gingham Ribbon keep this tidy. :beer:IAAR/IAAMM/MFTMFAQ/IOA6BH0 -
Just popping in before bed. Haven't been too bad over the weekend, just need to lay off the choclates and cake! Haven't really done much exercise apart from pottering round the shops which I guess is better than not moving from my sofa at least.
Got a driving lesson in the morning and then meeting a friend for lunch. We've got stew for dinner tomorrow night (one of my favourites) so will aim for just a light lunch. I've put the dirty dancing exercise dvd on my online rental list, figured I'd decide if i liked it before spending £12 on it.
Hope everyones well. G'night.I'm through accepting limits'Cuz someone says they're soSome things I cannot changeBut till I try, I'll never know!0 -
Morning All,
I'm Back~ you were right MrsM , I was too busy stuffing to come on here! BUT........................ No more Stuffing, day 1 for me today and THAT'S IT , NO MORE!
Will weigh myself at work with my friend who was very good at encouraging me last year. Have made my lunch, and a fruit salad for breakfast so should be OK.
A word of warning to the rest of you who can't get your act together ~ Had a visit today from MrsM. She came all the way over from Germany just to slap my legs, and boy did it hurt. I have contacted the Police and I understand they have given her a Caution , but needless to say it did actually work as there will be no more slacking from me I assure youJust look out guys !
Right, move over who ever is driving , as I'm back on the wagon and steering us straight up the road to Slimsville
Had a thought ~ I've been so negative lately I've decieded we should try to focus on a possitive thing about us, something that we like about ourselves. So, although it's not easy for those of us who are British to do this I thought I'd start off by saying :
"I Really like my face. It's quite a happy pretty face and I have no wrinkles. My teeth are perfect and I have very good olive skin. I like my eyes, people say they are pretty and Mr Frog loves them."
There, that actually wasn't that hard. Come on , everyone name a possitive thing about themselves today, no more "Negative Nellys" , Please xSay it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Well I had the munchies last night and kept picking at things and biting my nails (figured they were probably lower fat than some hings in my kitchen!)
Will try and be good today and hopefully won't be too hasr as H away so I don't have to cook a big meal for him tonight and can do something easy for the kids. Just have to organise taking something in for lunch at work!
Have good days and will catch up with you all later xxx0 -
Alfiesmum I had a 'friend' who used to indirectly criticise things I did. One of the hardest things I did last year was to get her out of my life. I feel so much more positive now, as if a weight has been lifted. She's the one with the problem - not you.
Frogga Wht a good idea to focus on something we like about ourselves rather than always thinking about the things we want to change. Physically - I like my eyes. They're big & blue & light up when I laugh. As a person I'm kind & thoughtful. It makes me feel very slightly uncomfortable to write it down but I think it's true so why not???
Back at work today so porridge for brekkie, HM veg soup & crudities for lunch, huge salad & jacket pot with houmous for dinner. Snacks will be fruit, crispbread or ricecakes with Marmite (I'm really trying to like it) or peanut butter (the savoury sort).
I've been on my gym ball this morning & will make sure even if it's windy & raining, I go out for a brisk walk at lunchtime.
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Back on the wagon with you Frogga!:j
Homemade muesli with soya milk for brekkie, huge salad with avocado for lunch with fruit if I want it, chilli and rice for tea. Only walking today as I've got a breast screening this afternoon:eek:
Positive thoughts - I have nice hair and eyes and my grandaughter says I'm pretty!
See you later folks :A0 -
Morning all!
glad you are back Frogga:j :j :jits just not the same without you!;)
Off to work later for my last long shift(11 hours) before my 2 days off! we are having a meal out tonight at a 2 for 1 pub so I hope there's something veggie and low fat on the menu( I doubt it:rolleyes: ) I have had mini shredded wheats for breakfast for a change with some raisins. I always find myself craving toast in the mornings - I just love bread - but I am trying to cut it down.
Positive thoughts - well I am always being told I have nice hair( its dyed dark brown and cut short) its ok I suppose but its the type of hair that only has 1 style!:D personally I like my top half - quite slim as all my weight is below the waist:D i am a definite pear shape! great idea frogga of your to focus on our good points!:T
I hope your legs have recovered from MRSM's slapping!;) I dont usually advocate violence but in your case if its worked I will!:D
I hope you all have a great day
take care xxxxx
edited to say Good luck this afetrnoon Rockie!Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Hya Folks
Congratulations to all the losers:T:T a great way to start the year, may it continue every week.
Had a busy weekend cooking and baking...I can't decide if I should be using the BM or not...we are saving money (lots of bread flour in the cupboard), but we are all wanting to eat the bread, not great for weight loss!! It looks I will have to have it on twice a day every day...would it be better to hand-bake I wonder??
Perhaps we should cut our carbohydrate intake...but we eat lots of fruit and veg too...and meat at least 4 times a week....help! DS2 is diabetic and a growing 14 year-old, and his brother is a 18 year-old bottomless pit...DH is losing weight easily at the moment...so it looks like it is down to me to curb my bread appetite! Oh well, I can at least savour the smell...but it makes me feel sooooo hungry! Maybe I will do MRSMs trick of slicing it and freezing it...sound good to me!
That's enough of a ramble...food today:
B: Special K, dried berries & Soya milk + OJ
S: 1 slice bread, butter & jam
L: HM Soup (+ bread?)
S: Fruit
T: HM meat balls, tom sauce + spaghetti
Now off to do LOTS of college work...will pop in tomorrow or Wednesday
