Today I have yet to have breakfast, probably be a slice of toast
Lunch is at Mum's roast pork dinner (I am just having 1 slice, not that keen on pork?
Tea will probably be a sandwich and yogurt.

Right I'm back after having lost 1st 3lb before christmas, it started all going wrong so I must admit to have re-gained 5lbs.... I can feel my trousers tightening again.
I have still been scratch cooking (mostly) and using my slow cooker a fair bit to batch cook. I find this really handy for the days I am in work as dh can just wham it in the micro and I don't snack when I get home then cos 'dinner is served'.
I am going to try and grow some veg and fruit myself this year, hoefully I get a good crop and can fill up on healthy home grown food. I find that because I can't afford to buy mountainous fruit and veg I tend to not eat it so the kids can have it.
Anyway I hope I have stayed on topic....
I will probably pop in once a day to catch up on posts, (although there are usually so many, I may not get time to read them all) and give a quick update on my progress. I need to lose in total 3st 2lb...

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cheerfulness4
Did you have to mention russian slab  ? I was on about that before xmas -I used to love it..i was planning on having some back in the UK over xmas... but i didn't get around to it - had forgot all about it UNTIL NOW :rotfl: -still at least i can't get hold of any over here-pheewwwww:D
I hope the chewy bars satisfy the sweet cravings -and at least they can be made in minutes :j
Saversarn.... that is soooo sweet - i think you were right not to have the stain washed out, its a lovely memory and makes the x stitch so much more personal
I guess i could have a wander to the supermarket called "REAL" its only about half an hour or so away and they have a gyros place, a cafe, a tea shop and a bakery with a cafe area (will ignore all the cakes honest)... don't know why i didn't think of that:rotfl: . Just about all supermarkets here have at least a bakery/coffee shop and most have various cafes
Go on get those threads out.. It will pass the time and i honestly have been known to forget to eat when im sewing  you get that involved -plus you end up with something lovely to hang on your walls :j

Hello all :hello:
I have about a stone to lose & I'm in no rush - as long as I lose it before our holiday in Tuscany in August I'll be happy. I'm hoping that taking it easy & being kind to myself will help me to succeed because if I slip up I've got time to put it right.
I have a very healthy diet (I'm vegan) but portion control is my big downfall. I've just signed up to the Tesco tracker & when I weighed my normal portion of porridge for brekkie it was 50g - their 'normal' portion is 25g:o .
Methinks I need to reeducate my stomach.
The Tesco tracker is really helpful, it automatically sets you a target, you enter everything you eat & what exercise you take & you get a daily allowance. It also tells you what percentage of your recommended protein, carbohydrate etc. you've had so far.
Meal plan for today is
Breakfast - porridge with raisins & soya milk
Lunch - beans on dry toast
Dinner - butter bean casserole with MASSES of veg.
Snacks - rice cakes with houmous, soya yoghurt, few nuts.
As it's Sunday I shall have a couple of glasses of wine tonight too.
Good luck everyone.0 -
Hi Everyone.
I would like to join in with this. Chocalate is my downfall but Im working on that using a alternative therapy. Doesnt seem to be a craving more of a compulsion. Work 3 12 and a half shifts a week and my eating there is less healthy. When off I go to a local cafe where a home cooked meal meat and two veg is £4.50. You get lots of veg which is good. I work vol as a meeter and greeter at local hospital so going to have their healthy option when eating there. Need to lose bout a stone. Have gone back to gym and use rowing machine and treadmill. Good luck everyone.
Today had:
breakfast porridge and banana.
lunch Sunday lunch.0 -
Thanks MrsM for the Muesli slice recipe and the bolognaise/cabbage tip. I always do far too much pasta (and then eat it all!)
Have had porridge this morning. Will have some soup and HM bread for lunch. Than I'm doing a chilli for tonight. I might even steam some cabbage to go with it (I won't have so much rice/bread/potatoes then (one of those, not all!)
My son is going into hospital tomorrow(he has 2 week courses of IV antibiotics every 3 months) As well as making life difficult for the whole family -especially him, it makes eating healthily a bit more challenging. I drink so much coffee and eat so much toast in there. This time, we won't be in there long - I can do the majority of the IV course at home now I've been taught how. :j
Some parents in hospital seem to get by on nervous energy and don't eat at all. When he had an operation a year or so ago, I ate 2 packets of bakewell tarts (12 tarts). I can say, I haven't had a single one since though! A lovely nurse gave me a packet of those plastic stringy Scooby Doo things (remember them?) to occupy my hands - much healthier!
If any has any tips to reduce stressful eating/ comfort eating, I'd love to hear them.
Have a good day everyone.

CD.. I eat when mine are in hospital too.. unless they are being starved for an op.. then I take a pack up and as soon as they are taken to theatre I stuff myself silly until they are back! That was fantastic when DS3 was in for 3 weeks.. and I lived on fish and chips and sausage rolls.. that sounds like a song title.. lol
Anyhoo.. breakfast today.. 2 satsumos.
lunch.. ham and half a bacon sarnie.. nicked off hubby and eaten in one HUGE bite.. and 2 cuppas.
Dinner tonight.. gammon and salad and new spudatoes... and dessert!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
OK - meal plan today
Breakfast - Scrambled egg (but DD2 nicked half after scoffing all hers) 1 bacon, 1/2 sausage, 1/2 muffin, 5 mushrooms, baked beans.
Lunch - small sausage roll (plus 2 choccies from tin at work - better than last week where I scoffed about 15!)
Tea - HM Meatballs, HM Oven chips, Peas and Sweetcorn
Gonna dig my small sized dinner plate out as our current ones are huge and I feel the need to fill the plate so my portions have been huge of late.
I have been reading the Paul Mckenna book and have to say that this morning I left a lot of my breakfast, usually I would have shuffed it all in and wiped the plate clean. Have been surprised what a difference I have noticed in the last couple of days and not finished reading the book yet.0 -
Hi everyone!
Managed fairly well last night as had my dinner but none of my home made trifle but I did have a bit of ceese and one bidcuit! Better than I would have been and I drank several glasses of wine/port!
Also today persuaded everyone mo to go out for a meal but to eat in and we'r having roast chicken and veg so cheaper and lower fat than going out I think!
Tonight will try and have a tuna wrap or something like that!0
