Well thought I had better join in before tomorrow morning's weigh in at work.
I have had a very, very good week till today - why do I always go awry on the day before weighing?
Breakfast - 2 weetabix and semi skimmed milk
Snack - Banana and apple
Lunch - Gammon Salad dressed with lemon juice and black pepper
Snack - Orange
Snack - Piece of birthday cake, left the fondant icing
Dinner - Lemon and Ginger Salmon with stir fried veg
At least it was only one piece, but now I want chocolate - hormones I think:mad:
Off to bed soon, I won't eat there:rotfl:
Well done to all the losers
Ooh a postive thing about me - I am 43 and my boobs are still where they started:rotfl:
Speak soon

Don't stress Gingham , we get ya
the one you have to watch for is MrsM ~ always going off on a tangent and copious posts everyday, personally I'd ban her, but that's only me
sounds like a certain frog is asking to get her legs slapped again!:D
Have finished now and am ready for my 2 days off!!!!:j went out for a meal with work tonight - all the veggie offerings were laden with cheesy and creamy sauces so decided to have the healthy option of fish and chips!:eek:couldn't eat it all so left a few chips and some of the batter, wish I hadn't eaten it though as it caused a flare up of my IBS! too greasy I expect.
Have just had a sugar free jelly for supper - felt in need as it was a stressful day at work.
see you all in the morning!Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Hello slimmers!
Frogga welcome back!
MrsM, it sounds like you are with seeds the way I am with yarn - can't resist it!
Orpheus, good to see you back and thanks for the lovely words, please don't stress about the most PC way to address us!
Taplady, fish and chips is quite healthy once in a while, good quality protein and loads of fibre and vit. C in the chips, so don't worry about it.
Well done to all losers, cannot remember all names off the top of my head, really admire those of you who can!
Today good day, went to a keep fit class and then work in the afternoon, had a bit of a sweet craving attack and managed to stave it off with 2 ryvitas and a bit of HM marmalade on top, no big damage done (considering that my kitchen still contains biscuits and chocs leftover from Christmas!).
Then went to meet DH in town to see the a film (for free, won the tickets online!). No Country For Old Men, now it is very good as a film but the ending is pathetic, won't spoil it for anyone who wants to see it, and it is certainly worth watching for the body of the film, but ohboy what a cr*p ending! Would be curious to hear opinions from others who watched it. Just as well it was free otherwise I would have felt really cheated, and DH feels the same.
Foodwise:
Breakfast: 2 sesame ryvita with low fat cottage cheese and fresh blueberries, 1/2 grapefruit.
Snack: 1 banana, 1 apple
Lunch: lentil and mix veg soup
Snack: 2 ryvita with marmalade
Snack before going out: 1 apple, 1 oz cheddar
Dinner: now, here I feel very proud. DH proposed that on the way back from the cinema we could pop into the local chinese for a quick meal, and I turned him down, am I GOOD or what!!! Anyway, we decided we would have tinned beans and tomatoes on couscous, quick and easy, but on our return home our DS had friends around and had cooked some noodles with vegetables in soup. There is a bit of oil in the soup but not so much to damage my SW. So we had that!
Positive about me: today at the keep fit classes a couple of women said that it really shows that I am losing weight. I am getting a lot fitter, too! I feel happy.
Goodnight all
CaterinaFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
positive thing about me.. I make a lovely pantomime pony!
ok ok.. my boobs are bigger than they were before I breastfed for 12 years! (7 children.. not 1 lol)
I am a really really terrible dancer.. in the hilariously funny way.. I even make myself laugh!!
I think we should post as often as we like.. maybe do like the flylady thread and start it anew each week or month if it helps.. it'll keep the thread short and other people wanting to reduce weight OS won't be too intimidated by the length of the thread... but to stop people posting more than twice a day isn't good.. We are meant to go off topic.. we are supporting each other and sometimes there are things which cannot wait until tomorrow because you have exceeded your 'daily quota' I have at least 4 crises day and need encouraging.. hell.. I've just eaten a whole battenberg!!!!!!.. and I don't feel even slightly sick! THAT is a crisis!!!
I actually think I am ill.. you know those low grade infections that keep you down for weeks.. well I've had a dodgy throat for about 7-8 weeks and I feel like I have an irritant water infection and I am having massive trouble maintaining my blood sugar levels.. hence the battenberg.
I cut down the sugar intake.. I do not lose weight I just appear to lose consciousness and shake.. if it continues a few more days I'm off to the quack. Is it normal for your body to go into withdrawal when you reduce sugar? I haven't cut it out, I have 2 in my tea.. but this is mad! I can't go for more than a few hours without eating.. including during the night! Unless this is a menopausal symptom I'm stuffed.. literally!
breakfast.. 2 satsumas
lunch.. pasta in sauce & a ginger slice
dinner cornish pasty, potato fritter and green beans
'snack' .. ham slices, a whole battenberg... if I keep owning up to that I may start to feel sick!

Pigpen - Battenburg? Yuk! Now if it was angel cake (i always mixed the two up when I was little) thats another matter :rotfl:
Taplady - I have a whole book on healthy eatting for IBS so if you want any info or recipes out of it give me a shout and I'll happily copy them up for you.
Frogga - Good to see you back in the driving seat
Rightyho, today I have had:
Brekkie - 2 Wheatabix with ss milk and spoonful of sugar
Lunch (out with a friend) - 1 small piece of 'hot' foccacia bread, corn and bean burrito (lots of yummy crunchy veg and only a little bit of sour cream) and half a small piece of white chocolate and pecan pie with ice cream. Sounds lots typed out but it was all small portions.
Tea - Small bowl of stew.
Snacks - A couple of milk tray choccies
I had a driving lesson this morning which always seems to make me hungry (all that concentrated!) and did lots of pottering around london and going up and down train/tube station steps. So all in all a good day.
Positive things about me. I like that I got my first tv credit aired tonight :j (City of Vice if anyone saw it). I have nice eyes and a nice shaped face (I can get away with Audrey Heburn style sunglasses which I love) Oh and apparently I have nice boobs althogh they actually drive me insane! :rotfl:
I'm through accepting limits'Cuz someone says they're soSome things I cannot changeBut till I try, I'll never know!0 -

I know a menu plan is important to helping you stick to the goals you've made. It's hard though because I'm cabin crew and I can't bring all my food away with me and it honestly depends what is available. Also I'm going 7 hours ahead of myself this week so when I'll be wanting breakfast, only lunch/dinner is going to be available. So here is my (very rough) plan for the week.
Monday
Last day of fruit flush
Tuesday
Off to China.
Breakfast Porridge and fruit
Lunch: Whatever is on the plane plus a vegan banana cake for dessert.
Dinner: What ever is on the plane.
Wednesday
Breakfast
Fruit and porridge (If my hot pot works, if not then just fruit)
Lunch
Fruit
Dinner
Cous cous with veg and sardines.
Thursday
Breakfast on the plane.
Lunch
whatever is on the plane
Dinner
Veggie soup with pesto sauce.
Friday
Fruit and porridge for breakfast
Lunch
Soup
Dinner greens and smoked mackerel maybe with potatoes.
Saturday
Fruit for breakfast
Lunch/dinner at my grans.
later, maybe some soup.
Sunday
I'll treat myself to to scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. I'll usually have some champagne with this, but I'm not drinking until my housewarming end of the month.
Roast Chicken with rice and peas and salad.
Maybe some crackers later.
I'll update on Sunday what exactly I ate.If the internet is free when I'm away I'll be checking up on you all, if not see you on Thursday!Getting there... A deal at a time. :T0 -
Morning ladies:j
Been for a swim this morning and am now in work eating my muesli.
I've swum a kilometre  - sound a lot more when you say it like that instead of 20 lengths (it's a biiiiiig pool) I love swimming, it really clears my head and I feel so good when I've been.:D
Lunch today is the remainder of last night's chilli with a couple of slices of seedy bread, I have a banana and grapes if I need them.
Not decided what's for tea yet but my new cookery books arrived from Amazon yesterday :j :j (Rose Elliot - GI veggie and veggie meals in minutes) so I might have a look through those if I get the chance this afternoon.
See you later ladies :A
PS - I think the weekly thread is a brilliant idea :T :T0 -
Morning all!
Caterina - please could you PM me the recipe for lentil and mixed veg soup if you have time, I've bought some lentils to use in soup and could do with some simple recipes. There was one on the old thread for lentil and tomatoor carrot soup i think but I forgot to copy it.
Alibow - thanks for the offer, am not sure where to start really as everyone is different with IBS but would appreciate any meat-free recipes:T
Frogga - am glad you had a good day yesterday, keep it up!;)
2 days off now!:j have got Mr Tappy at home as his back went again yesterday and he's laid up in pain so I will be playing nursemaid today - he's already asked for a blanket bath!:D
Food plans are
B - porridge
snack - coffee and cake at the WI(regular thing with Mum)
L - not sure yet, may have a go at some type of lentil soup
D - veggie lasagne, salad, potato wegdes
low fat yoghurt
hope you all have a good day, will pop back later
PS I think a weekly thread is a brillaint idea, lets hope we can persuade GR;)
Rockie - that veggie book sounds good!Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Morning all, I've had me banana for brekkie and a glass of OJ and now I'm going to my first pilates class. I get extra brownie points for braving the howling wind and sheets of rain to get there.
Actually, considering i feel all fat and preggie I'm much more active and healthy than my OH who seems to have gone into hibernation, and whose empathy belly is giving mine a run for its money. He seems to be craving cake more than me too.
he will be so whipped into shape once this baby comes. :cool:2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher0
