MRSMCAWBER - LOL at your list of yummies... You are right in that its good to know what is in your food - and I could cut on portion size ;) Plus I am really busy pottering all day long rather than sitting on my bum so must be burning some of it off at least :D

Its this flaming chocolate addiction left over from my last pregnancy - I almost never used to eat chocolate before - once I crack that I will probably lose some weight... But I love it so much :p

Perhaps I should do a February Chocolate Avoidance Challenge ?

Do we have any counsellors here - I might need them :rotfl:

Hello everyone. Thanks for the good luck wishes for my interview. I think it went well. They said they'd give me a ring in the next week or so if I've got it. Its only casual bar work but its still money in the bank and I'll still have time to work on my jewellery and stuff that way :D

Foodwise, not been too bad today. Had a packet of werthers originals (only a small pack not a family size one) and they've lasted me all day rather than crunching my way through the lot like I once would have :o Had a lamb leg steak and couscous for tea then resisted penguins (the chocolate kind before someone says it :rotfl: ) or ice cream for pudding and had half a grapefruit instead. Haven't had one for years and forgot how yummy they are. Exercise has been walking to my interview, climbing stairs at the interview and now dancing in my chair to rocky horror :rotfl:

Weighed in this morning and have stayed the same. Its TOTM tho and I'd just had a big bowl of porridge (forgot to weigh in before) so I'm happy with that. Was reading the superdrug freebie magazine earlier and they were talking about crazy celluite busting techniques. Apparently theres now one (japanese I think) were they put you in a special freezer with serious sub zero tempertures for a short period of time and its meant to boost the break down of celluite and kick start your detox!! Perhaps I'll just go stand outside for a bit tomorrow...almost cold enough here  Oh and also they had a big feature on money saving ways to do stuff and MSE got a mention.

    Morning Peeps,

Hi Alibow , glad the interview went ok ~ I too am now having to look for suplimentary work as we had some shocking news about the mortgage. We are with Northern Rock and the special rate ends on May 1st and it's going up £250 a month  ~ we were struggling before!!!! As soon as I heard the news I thought "oh no , what can I eat!" :o It's going to ba hard to find any more time in the day to work more as I work all the hours I can while the tadpoles are at school and I cant rely on Mr Frog to get home each night for me to go out cleaning or something. Applying for an early morning cleaning job at Mr T on a Sunday morning ~ the only time Mr Frog will defo be here! 6am-9am £9 per hour , should be about £100 after I'm taxed as it will take me over the limit. Every bit helps I guess

My Mum is joining the Fevruary challenge too so I keep you all informed of how she does.

Probably wont get chance to post again this weekend as Mr Frog is home so we're gonna try and do some bits and pieces around the pond.

Keep making sensible choices everyone, it's not a diet, we're simply choosing more healthier options for a while :D

    Morning everyone, Hi Frogga!

Thats a shocker about your mortgage!
    Food plans for today are

just had 2 slices of Hm bread toasted

L - probably a jacket spud(dont want any more bread)

D - quorn chilli and rice

    snacks
    mango, banana, yoghurt.

    have a good day all!
    Do what you love :happyhear
  • Goodness Frogga - hope the job pans out for you. And that you don't let it drive you to food. Something will turn up. :grouphug:

Welcome Slyphand Frugal. I do lots of home cooking from the OS board Frugal and the weigh is still coming off. As was said before, limit the portions and the sky's your limit. Love HM bread goodies and iced finger buns, not to mention my fav, bara brith.

lil-miss - well done for losing that Stone. No wonder the doctors was pleased. ;)

Well I'm doing cartwheels too this morning cos I've just weighed in and I've lost another 4 1/4 lbs. Bit unexpected because I had a confidence wobble last night.... you know, when you think 'I bet I've put on' for no good reason at all.
DS1 & 2 will be groaning when I tell them..... only another 1 1/4 lb till my next 'reward' and my last one hasn't arrived yet. (candles in shape of food  )

Its snowed here so don't think I'll trundle to the shops for the milk. Shall send DH to local shop. :D Nothing for me to do today than make my HM sausages and bake some pasties and pea & ham soup.

    Food today:

Boiled egg and seedy fingers ( having a change)
    Roast chicken with all trimmings.
    HM soup

Treat today is going to be peach flan with evap. Oh and yesterdays chocs from dad now given a new home, after having one of each. Problem solved there.

Take care on this freezing, snowy day. :snow_grin

  • How many calories does shivering use up? Cause that's what I'm doing here - AliBow you don't need to go to Japan, just come here - I'm having my windows replaced tonight and the draught speechless-smiley-040.gif - still short term pain, long term gain (and we saved £1500 by having it done in the winter - very OS).

I was that busy running around after the builders yesterday that I forgot to eat until 2.30 and then only fancied a salad then HM steak and kidney pie for tea with lots of veggies added but only a bit of pastry on mine. I'm starving today tho rolleyes.gif.

Off to have some breakfast and make more builders tea

Laters when I can get back into the study x
    I'd rather be watching CSI!

Morning all it was white over when i got up..very frosty -but it did look lovely:D

been up a couple of hours, and made my 1st attempt at piklets :T ...just had 2 and god im stuffed -coming from she who used to eat 12 shop ones at a time :o ...
I think the next batch will need a small tweak -mind hubby isn't out of bed yet to try them -so i will report back when i have his opinion and post the recipe once i have tweaked ;) ...but if 2 can stodge me...then in my opinion they are worth making :rotfl:

well we know what brekkie was :p
lunch is going to be prawn pasta salad...i think(mind at the moment i can't see me wanting any -yep im THAT stuffed) :p in which case that will become dinner :rotfl:

Frogga..can you look into moving your mortgage to another company ? Our mortgage is only in its 3rd year... we got a 2 year fixed to start with and when it was due to end we went back and they gave us another 3 years fixed... and when thats up -if they won't offer fixed again then we will move to another company ;)
Thats the only thing that i was adament about was that we had a "fixed rate" i know it may cost a wee bit more to start with -but at least you know how much you have to find every month..think i would be in a right flap on a variable rate..watching rates go up  .
By the way -well done on not heading for food to make you feel better :T as you know that feeling would be brief -folowed by feeling even worse..the feeling you should have for NOT doing it should last all day mrs...well done you :j have a good weekend with mr frog and the tadpoles

WOOHOO  CHEERFULNESS :T ..what a result.... you should be floating for the rest of the day -at least :D ....
Those candles you are on about are beautifull aren't they..i would never burn them though :rotfl: I have the yankee candles as they smell lovely and im willing to burn those..i have "christmas cookie" on the go at the minute..smells vanillary mmmmmm what with that and the ponds cocoa butter it smells like a cake shop :T but no extra cals :rotfl:

Morning Taplady... hope you have a good day :D

Alibow have you tried the worthers chewy ones? god they are good.... not had any since we moved nere mind...but mmmmmmm.
Glad the interview went well...fingers crossed for you :D and staying the same AFTER eating brekkie and it being TOTM is blooming good going..hopefully you will get a nice surprise on the scales next week!

Frugal.... i used to have a choc fetish.... i did that paul mckenna thing of linking it to something you don't like...and it must have worked as the thoughts of choc makes me feel squiffy now :T ..mind i did link it to the taste of whitebait bleughhh -i would rather chew my own toenails (if i could reach them :rotfl: ) than try whitebait again.....

well i was hoping to get in the garden today -no chance now, so i may go into the basement and get some seeds planted so they can get started indoors...or get hubby to take me to a garden centre -once he gets up

Ok i think i have gone on long enough -had better get off-wil pop by later and catch up with the other "goings on"
hello to all those i haven't mentioned :D
have a great day one and all....

Got to be careful as we're not talking about weight loss , but just a quickie to say that we were with Northern Rock on a 3.9% and now cant get anywhere near that! ~ the chepest I can find in going to be £120 more a month although I knew this was comming. Applied on line myself this morning and thay "fast tracked " it as our credit score was so good :p and we have a huge amount of equity in the property (bought it cheep as it was run down anf Mr Frog has added kitchen, bedroom and garage so trebled in value!) Not great but better than I forst thought.

BTW what are "picklets" ? are they a German thing? would I like em? are they a healthy choice ? ;)

  • Frogga - picklets are like crumpets. Delish and I can't wait for MrsM to post the recipe. :D

Glad you're getting the other thing sorted. ;) Worry is a real bummer isn't it? Looks like froggas on the case tho. :D:D
