    Afternoon all,

Kitty...sorry you feel as you do, but pm me anytime you like.

    Today I have eaten:

    B pear, glass orange juice, small portion sugar free muesli, small sl bread butter;

L Deep fried haddock, one and half potatoes, steamed carrots and broccoli, rice pudding with stewed apple, coffee.

Later will probably be a sandwich of some kind, although I might stew some fruit and have it warm with yogurt, as its so cold I can't feel enthusiastic about cold food.

Was showered and dressed this morning before I realised that it was Friday, so no weigh in...bit disillusioned about weighing when I hear all gripes people have about scale accuracy...will have a go in the morning.

Have a good day all, congratulations to the losers

    Hi All,

Congratulations to furrypig, MrsMicawber, likklegibbon and kraftykat for their weight losses and good luck to all those weighing in tomorrow.

I am feeling pleased with myself as I have lost another lb since Monday. We have changed the day we visit Gibraltar and so my weigh in day will now be Fridays. OH tried to persuade me to wait till next week in case I was disappointed but I decided to risk it and so am delighted.

Treat day for me today as it's our 'day out'.

Breakfast: Museli mixed with fruit and fibre (I have a handful of each - no scales) and raisins scattered on top. Served with skimmed milk. Small glass of pineapple juice.

    Lunch: Chicken leg and Coke.

Tea: Egg, chips and mushrooms. Yoghurt.

Snacks: orange, apple. Lots of water, skimmed milk coffees (all milk but in such a tiny cup that it only works out at 40 calories each).

I treated myself to some calf length leggings in black to wear with the 2 new tops I bought a couple of weeks ago so had a fashion parade when I got home and was delighted with the effect. So am feeling doubly pleased now.

Hope you all have a good weekend.

  • Hi everyone :hello: ,
I've flicked through this thread before but would like to join you guys & make a commitment to losing weight.

I get little support from family & friends, I get told I look fine or its post baby fat so it'll take care of itself. OH tries to support me but then brings junk into the house "as a treat" when he knows I cant resist it.

I'm the largest I've ever been, I put on a lot of weight while pregnant with my 2nd child, now he's nearly 1 & its really getting me down. Lost a bit before Christmas & then put it all back on again.

I think my main problem is though I'm quite an active person I eat a lot of snacks, most of them high in sugar, I drink a lot of fizzy drinks, & my meal portions have grown a lot. I normally start healthy eatin with good intentions but then crave chocolate & given, OH brings a treat in, or I feel tired so want a caffeine boost & reach for the coke.

Saying hello to you guys daily will be a reminder to keep at it, & to shame me if I eat too many naughty things. As well as learn from you & give mutual support.

This month I want to swap my sugary drinks for water & the odd cup of coffee. I want to reduce my portion size & exchange sugary snacks for healthier ones.

Just weighed myself & I'm: 10.8 stone, I'm not too fussed what weight I end up but would like to go from a size 14.5 (16 is way too big, size 14 is a bit tight) to a size 12, though size 10 would be better I'm trying to set realistic goals)

Congrats to everyone whose lost weight.
    Hugs

:j:j I've lost 7kg since I last was weighed at my GP surgery at the end of October, she said considering the time of year it is she was really pleased with me. I didn't think it was much (being useless at the kg-lb thing) then when I worked it out it's nearly a stone :D being totally honest I think it's the portion size reduction which has helped the most.

Todays food - Breakfast chicken salad sandwich (because that's what I fancied) Lunch baked spud, sprinkle of cheese and a spoon of onion chutney (think I am addicted to onion chutney) dinner spag bol with garlic bread. Snacks of bananas :o going to look like a banana soon. Kept a yoghurt for later when the kids are in bed and I get tempted to snack!
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb

    evening everyone!

well done to MRSM and everyone who has lost this week!:T

    frogga - great to have you back!:j :j :j :j :j

Kitty - am sorry you wont be posting - you have given some really valuable tips and advice and we will miss you x

Rockie - any chance of PMing me that veggie sausage and lentil recipe please!

Pigpen - I agree about the cereal portion sizes - they are minute! I weigh mine for SW but add banana to bulk it up or have shredded wheat(2) or weetabix(2) that are more filling.

    Today i have had

    2 x shredded wheat and a banana

    grapes

jacket spud with beans and cheese

grapes and a low fat yoghurt

dinner will be veggie pizza(small slice) with salad and HM potato wedges.

I also had a tiny slice of wholemeal toast at 6am before work.

I hope everyone is doing well.

    TTFN xx

    Evening ladies:hello:
I had a jacket and beans for lunch and a cereal bar with a cuppa this afternoon.
Drove home in heavy sleet and hailstones  (which stopped a mile from home) so felt exhausted when I got in and couldn't be bothered cooking so we had Cauldron black bean burgers (whoopsed in asda last night) with some spicy wedges that I found lurking at the back of the freezer and..........SALAD:eek: OH looked shocked at green stuff on his plate but he's still in the bad books so I don't care :D

I'm going to have a glass of wine tonight and I might have a bag of snackajacks.
WI in the morning, then off to an allotment comittee meeting - Oh joy:rolleyes: then home to cook up a storm :D:D

Well done to all of those who've lost this week

    See you tomorrow guys :A
  • Hello ladies (and gent - where are you orph?!)

Well it's been a manic week here AGAIN hopefully it will start to slow down as my boss said January is always hectic - fingers crossed!

Have been fairly good today food wise-

Breakfast: Slice of homemade wholemeal toast with some tinned salmon and a large glass of freshly made orange juice.

Dinner: a HUGE salad (just bog standard lettuce, tomato, pepper and cornichons here much to the dismay of my friends who put all sorts in 'salads') with a small chicken breast that i covered with all sorts of stuff last night. I really liked it but as i can't remember what i put on it before i cooked it it could take some time before i fall upon the right mix again :o

Tea: Jacket spud with tuna and a small amount of reduced fat salad cream. Had a teeny tiny piece of apple and blackberry crumble for desert - twas delicious if i say so myself. Got a little over excited last night and made 8 single crumbles so 7 are in the freezer and the other one did me last night and today so :j to smaller portions.

As much as High School Musical drives me insane i've been doing 20 minutes of loony dancing with dd every evening this week which i think we've both enjoyed and is of course some more exercise for me :D

Well done to all losers, lots of *positive vibes* to those in need and :grouphug: to all of you wonderful people who have been an absolute god send to me. I can't afford to join a slimming club and am so greatful that you are all here to offer advice, determination and a distraction from food. I do tend to read most days at work - although i can get away with lurking, i couldn't start typing away without somebody noticing - so have been keeping a close eye on the 'row' that has erupted over tangents and sadly it does seem to be taking away from the wonderfully humourous aspects of some posters and seems to have cost us a kitty who although i haven't had many conversations with on here has certainly helped me an awful lot - not just with the wonderful list of alternative snacks she provided us with but also the one-liners, the humour, the light heartedness which all mean i want to stay at my desk during lunch and eat the food i've brought in with me just so i can have a read on here rather then heading off to the canteen with the rest of my colleagues only to be tempted by chips, currys, sandwiches.

All of the above has helped me to save much needed £'s and lose much needed lb's so a big THANK YOU to you all x

    Hello all :)

I often eye up this thread but dare not post as, since finding the OS board, my passion for cooking and baking has been re-awakened and I stand no chance whatsoever now of losing much weight, although I could attempt to leave chocolate alone :D

Well done and good luck to all of you :)
