QP
That's not too much.. I weigh that with only one leg on the scales!!!
breakfast.. missed due to my mother coming
lunch.. 2 slices toast and jam and 1 small piece of fudge.
dinner tonight.. erm.. potato bake with chicken pieces I think.. and mixed veg.
snacks.. I have a fatsumo still.. and slimfast caramel bar.. and I am permitting myself another piece of fudge if I REALLY need one!
and 5000 cups of tea..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I often think to myself that in the '50's and '60's when I was growing up, families ate some stodgy meals, and childhood obesity was very rare. Adult obesity was not common, and this was in my view because meals were eaten more or less at set times with hardly any snacking. Dinner was meat and two (usually more) veg, nothing too fancy. Therein lies the answer to our weight problems.0

True. In addition to that, according to my mum, not everyone had a car so you walked places  Walked to work/school, walked to the shops. No internet shopping, no washing machine, no takeaways, - life was different and in fact many "time saving" things just make us lazy - as I experienced this weekend with no dishwasher tablets left
In fact when I was little (in the 70's) there was only 3 Tv channels, no computer games, no video (unless you were richer than us). So if there was nothing on Tv at the weekend you went and played or went outside. If you wanted to speak to friends you went round their house - not text or email them. Cinema was a yearly treat when our gran visited, or occasionally twice a year.
Holidays for us were days out walking places - castles, hills, beaches, towns, cheap markets etc.
I think society has generally become more lazy with more electronic gadgets.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

Yep Queenpig - don't you be worrying about posting your weight.... I've got to lose more than a whole one of you to get anywhere close to my ideal weight.
We were saying before tho, doesn't matter whether its 7lbs or 7 stone, still a beggar to lose, isn't it?
I was only looking at my avatar and thinking I could use that as a passport photo. That's how I look when I'm off out the door for my Tesco's shop.
Breakfast - 1 1/2 slices seedy bread with a tomato
Lunch - crust from newly made seedy bread with blk/currant jam
snack - 2 handfuls of fruit & nuts and 3 satsumas.
Think I'll have turkey and veg soup for tea. Having way too much bread this week. I haven't too much else in until I get paid Friday.
Arghh that is such an excuse...... I could have had tuna salad last night but I opted for tuna sandwich instead. MUST eat more veg!!!
Would someone PLEASE think of a really bad confession so I don't feel so bad about being 'the bin lady'. Geeeee just make it up if you have to.
PIGPEN - knock it off with the toast will ya, I'm having a bread crisis here.:pMAY GROCERY CHALLENGE £0/ £250

I totally agree with you. There are too many gadgets to do everything for us - we even expect machines to entertain us. I know we could go outside to play, but machines and gadgets are not compulsory. You are right in saying we are lazy. My daughter takes my 5 year old grandaughter (and me) out walking in the woods and climbing trees when the weather's ok, and she loves it. Said 5 year old has even spotted bears and lions hiding behind trees!0
