:T Frogga, well done you!!!! It's not easy at times is it????

I made a big batch of chilli on Saturday, added extra red pepper & mushroom to bulk it out as I used less mince. DD & DS don't like chilli, so the amount I made I divided into 3 freezer bags and freezed. That's 3 meals for me and DH with some rice or a baked potato.

Pigpen, can I have the recipe for your chicken soup please???

I use a stick blender for my soup, I normally sit the pot in the sink, wear an apron and zap it ( in blasts ), so that it doesn't go too crazy. ;)

I used the 'Swedish Chef' recipe.. if I had some it went in..

swede, turnip, carrots, 2 onions and the chicken carcass (though I will admit I didn't put the spine or ribs in.. the bones are too tiny to pick out properly)... I chucked in 2 'spare' chicken fillets I had taking up room in my freezer as well..

I tasted it and added herbs and salt and papper until I liked it..

    uuurrr--shkee-burr--shkee-burr--hurdy-gurdy--chopdee-chicken

eta.. I slopped soy sauce in it too!

    Hi all

having a good day today after a bad weekend! I always feel like red wine and cheese in the evenings not to mention the choccy biccies with the kids in the afternoons! Still I truelly believe a little of what you fancy does you good and if I thought I would never have a peice of cheese/glass of wine/chocolate it would drive me nuts. However if I think I can have what I fancy at the weekend but be good during the seek it seems to work! Have lost 1 stone 7lbs doin this so can't be too bad!!

Today have had porridge and homemade soup, dinner for DH and DS will be pizza but I might have more soup as it was yummy!

Whoops must dash out to do school run, have good days all. xxx

Well having just been paid and the cupboards being empty... went to MrT's..... car wouldn't start though  so had to only get what I could carry - over estimated my strength too by the time I'd walked a mile back to work I was nearly crawling!! Then tried the car again and it started

Anyway have now had a banana, muller light and some malt loaf - couldn't carry too much anyway as had OH's salad, apples, veg, d/w tablets (half price for the name brand), dw salt, milk.....

So that's my exercise for the day and tomorrow - will need more shopping as even with that lot, have nothing much to eat other than the eggs which will become omelet tonight ;)

    Hi All,

Well, I had my weigh in this morning and have only lost 1lb which I am quite disappointed with as I'd hoped for at least 2. However, the scales do weigh ounces too and I was only 2 oz from going down to the next pound so next week should look better.

We had our weekly trip to Gibraltar and have been out most of the day. Visited the library and Post Office so did our normal 50 minutes round trip brisk walking. We also treated ourselves to half a roast chicken, hot and juicy!! I only had a leg and OH ate the rest, though I did wash it down with a can of Coke.

Breakfast: Muesli mixed with fruit and fibre. I don't know how much it weighs but I have a small handful of each with a few extra raisins scattered over the top, served with skimmed milk. Small glass pineapple juice.

    Snack: Banana.

    Lunch: Chicken leg and Coke.

Tea: 100% beefburger in a pitta bread with onion and cherry tomatoes. Yoghurt.

    Snacks: Orange, apple.

    Rose

  • Hi everyone, been VERY slack with posting on here again - life has been mad and seems hell bent on trying to stop the new healthy, slim me from bursting out but have so far stuck 2 fingers up at it and it's making me more determined by the day. :D

    Today has been ok foodwise:

Breakfast: 1 slice on hm wholemeal toast with a little tinned salmon. Kiwi and glass of fresh orange juice.

Lunch: Sweet and sour chicken with salad as didn't fancy the rice. Had another kiwi for lunch.

Snack: Green apple, and some sunflower seeds whilst at work.

Dinner: Half a jacket potato with some tinned spaghetti and will have a side salad with it. Will have some pineapple and soya yoghurt for desert i think, might save that until a few hours after dinner though depending on how hungry i feel at the time.

Have managed to drink 2.5litres of water so far, have just filled my bottle up for the 6th time so hopefully it will be 3 litres by the end of the day.

Well done to you the losers, *positive vibes* to all those in need and a heart felt :rotfl: at all the madness and stories i've just trawled my way through. Will defo be back tomorrow to check in with you all and if i'm not you all have permission to give me a kick up the bum!
