  • Thanks for the corned beef tips Kitty.... they were a bit of a disaster tho. :o They tasted lovely but looked like they'd exploded on the plate. Gonna have to work on them but they were tasty.

Kraftykat - what a great two weeks for you. Well done. :T

Glad G pig is going to be okay, frogga. Poor little mite, must have been painful. Oh and well done for avoid the you know whats.

Boredom is definitely a big part of it for me. The x-stitch has really helped there. :D

Think I've eaten okay this week but I've noticed in my food diary that a fair bit of HM seedy bread was eaten this week, hopefully not too much but time will tell..... and so will the scales tomorrow morning.

OH has just fetched me in a cuppa and unpacked the new dvd set of Dinnerladies so I'm set for the evening. :D

cheerfulness - pittas are great toasted but as other posters have said a saucy filling is best. leftover chicken curry is fab - toast the empty pittas then cut in half across the narrowest bit then fill. also they are good as cheap and easy pizza bases

  • Chardonnay - good ideas with the pittas. I think I'm slowly being won round. :)
I had a win on the comps over xmas... won a Anthony W Thompson professional juicer. To be honest, would rather have won the Thorntons. Still, there's always ebay. :p

    Congrats on loss Juliej. :T

boddy - I'm not the best placed to give advice about CB cakes :o ... but mine went into the oven after sealing in the pan and they did come out lovely and crispy.

I'm over the moon because I've lost another 3 1/4 lbs this morning. :j :j This means that I've lost over the stone now and I've reached my Feb 14 challenge. :D:D
It was always going to be a lot easier for me as I've so much to lose, so I'm not sure if I ought to add a few lbs onto the challenge to keep me focused. Maybe another 3lbs to take it to the challenge to 10lbs for me.

    Food today:

    Readybrek
    Pork pie salad
    Egg salad sandwich

snacks - fruit, but we're helping my parents today so who knows.

    Enjoy your weekends.;)

The juicer is a great win...:j
  • Morning all,

Well my HM veggie haggis wasn't as successful as i had hoped, hubby liked it but me and DD15 wasn't sure, so I just ate the mash and mashed butternut squash so that meant i was starving later on so I had 1 slice of pizza, not worth it i must add but i was hungry. Won't be happening again for a while as I am going to use some of my already tested recipes for tea for a bit, experiment again in a few weeks!

Brekkie - Toast, marmalade and flora light ( just a smidge)

Dinner - HM Boston beans with wraps and salad

Tea - HM 5 bean lasagne with HM garlic bread

Have a great day everyone!! :j

I have lost 7lb in the last 3 weeks and weigh in on a Sunday morning, not sure this week will be so good as we were out last night so trying to recover from it today.

Breakfast- Pancake and slice of pineapple.
Lunch- mushrooms and tomatoes on toast
Dinner- Hm chicken soup and wholemeal bread.
    Snacks- fruit and yoghurt
I would like to be able to admire a man’s opinions as I would his dog - without being expected to take it home with me."
