KITTY.. as always.. very helpful!! thank you.. They just won't eat veg burgers.. not even in a bread bomb.. or even with ketchup!! Stir fry sounds great.. no baked beans.. I did find a tin of corned dog though so I can make a corned beef hash which will feed me for a week! And I have tuna (6 tins).. and a fields worth of potatoes!! lol.. no shortage of those.. I buy the 25kg sacks for £5 from my sisters greengrocers! The main problem we have is the children hate anything 'runny' so gravy is out as are soups, stews, etc.. normallyb I cook a stew and sieve the lumps out and feed them just those with a loaf between them. I found some fish too.. so that's another meal! steamed fish with rice? or is that just gross? A veg pasta bake sounds good.. never thought of that.. thanks ...LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Nah, steamed fish with rice is fine ! or fish pie, lovely with peas ! so the piglets won't even eat pasta sauce in their loathing of all things runny ? cos you could chop the veg burger pieces up sneakily small
Oh yeah evenI didnt think of making veggie pasta bake LOL but that is a good way of stretching out the cheese - just make a well flavoured white sauce and chuck in cooked veg and pasta and top with cheese and breadcrumbs, yum." Hi all. Haven't been on for a few days as I have been extremely busy and have been having an odd few days. On one hand I have been sticking to portion control for my meals and been having healthy meals but I have been horrendous for snacking and not healthily at that eating donughts, chocolate and a big packets of crisps:eek:
I have started exercising doing cycling at home and some of the Rosemary Conelly DVD's and am beginning to think it may have something to do with it and that I may have cut my portions back just a wee bit too much to start with. Anyway I am not giving up as this is a way of life for me and not a 'diet' so I will just carry on one step at a time.
Weigh in tomorrow so not expecting to lose and I may have gained but that wont be a surprise.
Hope everyone else is okay0 -

They'll eat pasta.. but it has to be naked.. or have a little bit of pasta sauce on.. so it is a coating rather than a spoonful.
I have 3 that don't eat potatoes!!! and 1 that eats very little of anything.. he has apergers and only wants to eat sausages.. and only one brand too.. I traumatised him by giving him curled up cumberland sausage once.. he went nuclear on us! he has weetabix with choc chips for breakfast.. packed lunch.. cheese sandwich (jam if it is a very good day), packet of crisps, 1 piece of fruit (apple or apple!!) and a biscuit or bun.. anything else without prior agreement (and sometimes even then) everything gets left!
I did fish pie on Monday.. they weren't impressed! lol
veg pasta bake it is tomorrow then!!.. with roasties I think.. not had those in ages! .. any 'low fat' methods for roasties?? I usually drown them in sunflower oil.
tuna pasta bake.. for another day..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Pigpen , I wonder if the egg white trick for over chips that MrsM mentioned the other day would work with roasties. It was just shaking the chips in beaten egg white then seasoning them if you missed it. http://www.channel4.com/food/recipes/healthy/cook-yourself-thin/fish-and-chips-with-mushy-peas-recipe_p_1.html Thats the link to the original recipe. I can't see why it wouldn't work on roasties if it crisps the chips up ok.I'm through accepting limits'Cuz someone says they're soSome things I cannot changeBut till I try, I'll never know!0

2lbs lost this week :j , so that 2hr walk yesterday obviously did its job.
Im pleased as i have been eating more carbs this week -which i need to get back down again, says she who is about to have 2 slices of HM bread toasted
So thats a bit more toward the Valentines challenge
Hubby has also shifted 2lbs this week....rather good considering he has been eating rather yummy capuccino ice cream-pinched a teaspoon to try yumyum
oh and he had a bag of peanuts last night, follwed by a lump of bread with cream cheese
Hope everyone else weighing in has good news :T
Brekkie today -Hm toast with butter

dinner -im making cornedbeef cakes with those "egg white" oven chips and peas
That will be me for today -with perhaps a couple more apples or a yoghurt
MaisieM - when i used to do a lot of exercise, i found it made me eat more as i used to get soooo hungry  ....now i do quite a bit of walking I don't get any hungrier... although i will have to start doing other kinds of exercise soon -but at least i will have had time to get used to eating less....

Morning! Up bright and early and feeling twice as cheerful.
I'd did it! A big bucket of my fav chicken walked into the house with DS1 wafting it round and I resisted. I nearly crumbled and insisted that he keep a piece for me for today..... didn't want to completely burn my boatsbut... I woke up this morning and both the smell and the urge have gone so its cat food.
Okay, I know thats not OS but its a triumph for me... not just because I didn't crack but because it wasn't that difficult... and I LOVE KFC. or did love.
Have decided that next time moneybags son decides to treat the family to a takeaway I'm going to ask for a couple of pounds to nip and get a trout. Love grilled trout but it doesn't really fit into our budget so will be a treat.
Todays food:
Readybrek (must have a change next week  )
lunch is at SIL's so not sure.
tea- corned beef crispbakes, beans (and wedges for boys)
Actually don't have a clue how to make the crispbakes but how hard can it be?
Hope Maise, MrsM and any others jumping on the scales today are happy with their weigh ins.
Would like to lose 1 3/4 lb at my weigh in tomorrow just so that I've lost my first stone.... and so I'm due my next reward from the male folk in the house.
Will check back later.MAY GROCERY CHALLENGE £0/ £250
