  • Your pets are certainly keeping you busy this week frogga - at least all this running around is good exercise. ;)

Seeing as a few of you seem to make the corned beef cakes, would anyone have ideas about what to flavour them with. I was just going to use potato, CB and onions, but what else would you use?

Frogga.. its been a very difficult week in here too and next week is not looking to be much better, maybe without DS1 having the threat of expulsion from high school thrown at us though if we are lucky! I resorted to the roses earlier.. it was chocolate or alcohol.. chocolate got it.. it was warmer!

    rice krispies for brekkie again
a cheese straw and some roses for lunch and dinner tonight is the veggie bake I think.. I'm pretty certain I have a cheesy sauce somewhere.. that failing I found some sausages DS3 will eat so 4 can have sausage and mash and the rest will have chicken pieces.

I doubt very much any weight will be being lost this week.. I have missed 3 days exercise due to my legs hurting and have had to do 3 dashed school runs a day.. some more dashed than others.. and I am fed up because I wanted to take hubby out for dinner tonight as it is his birthday but we don't have a sitter early enoguh.. DS1 usually has them from them being asleep but they'd still be awake if we went at the time we need to.. I'll maybe just insist hubby comes home for dinner one day next week and we'll go with Tiddles.

  • Corned beef cakes - your flavourings sound fine ! anything else depends on what you have about and your tastes - the usual really, mustards, worcestershire sauce, dried herbs ( not too much ! ), tabasco or a hint of chili powder/sauce if you want to give it a bit of a kick. Fresh parsley or chives are nice if you have them. Leek or spring onion can substitute if you don't have onion and the green is attractive. If you can bear to grate the onion it helps it go into really fine pieces that will cook more quickly and makes it a bit juicier. ( tip all the juice in with the mash etc )

aww frogga you are having a week of it aren't you ! (((hugs ))) and to you too pigpen. Sorry you can't go out tonight but like you said, make a date for next week and sort a sitter out, and for today it might be a humble dinner but you could have a bit of fun by setting the dinner table out as fancily as you can and maybe allow him a glass of wine ;) ( and you the rest of the bottle of course :P )

    Hi all,
    Good morning to you all!!
I'm in the US for a few days so I'm a bit behind you lot. So I have a complete rest from cooking, planning etc till next week- portion control here is ridiculous even the salads would feed a family of five and probably have a weeks fat content :o . I feel the :heart2: challenge is lost:confused:
Anyway nice hotel and I'm off to the gym now to try and burn some of this off on the cross trainer.
I hope I can still post this week even if I'm not being true to the tread this week .
Well done to all you losers:T
Frogga glad the CCE aversion therapy worked the other day:D
    Take care all

    Hi everyone,

I didn't post my weigh-in last week, but I read all the posts when I can to try to keep up to date.

Last week I lost 2lbs and this week I've lost 3 & a quarter lbs, so 5 & a quarter lbs in total, I'm quite pleased although I know it will probably slow down to maybe 1lb a week (if I'm lucky).

I've been out walking loads, I got a pedometer and I have only used it once as I keep forgetting I have it. By the time I have myself and DD ready to go in the buggy everything else is forgotten.

    Today I've had.....

Breakfast: Bowl of porridge made with water, then after it was cooked I added some semi-skimmed milk & handful of raisins. Glass apple juice.

Lunch: 2 slices of toast with some low-fat cheese & lea & perrins grilled.

Dinner: Will be....Sweet & sour chicken with extra red peppers & mushrooms with beansprouts & noodles.

Numerous cups of tea & glasses of water.

Probably have a snack later also. I usually eat more than this, but I'm cutting back a bit to have h/m pizza, oven chips & salad tomorrow night. As well as a few glasses of vino, packet of crisps & small bar of chocolate. Saturday night is my treat night, knowing I have this to look forward to keeps me on the straight & narrow during the week.

Good luck to everyone for next week. :T

Well the G Pig is OK. Had a nasty absess removed and now Tadpole 1 has to bathe it and go back in two weeks. If it does not heal she'll have to have an op

It's been a really busy and stressful week. I have not been eating badly really as I've had too much on. Makes me think alot of the eating is down to boredom

Sorry I haven't been very supportive to you all this week, I'll try and be more an the ball as hopefully now things will quieten down.

Well done to all that lost, keep going all that didn't , and if, like me you had a carp week, chin up lets put it behind us and move on :D

Mr Frog fixed the car temporarily and will sort it out properly this weekend so should be ok. Had to fill up with petrol and there were CCE's on the counter  But, I didn't buy one :T Good ald Saversarn and the aversion therapy technique :D

    Have a good evening guys

Glad the little furry creature is ok!

For lunch I had wholemeal spaghetti, HM veggie bolognaise sauce with a sprinkle of cheese on top.So no bread today!:j

I agree with you Frogga about boredom, if I can keep busy then I dont snack but as soon as I put the kettle on and sit down thats it I want a snack! unfortunately at work we have periods with nothing to do and the biscuit tin beckons!

Have a great weekend all and think about us poor souls who have to work all weekend!:D

B Porridge with cinnammon and almonds. Cup of tea

Snack Orange plus some chocolate when I saw mum.

    Lunch Cheese and onion Toastie.

Evening meal Wrap with beef and hoummous and chilli sauce.

Will prob succumb and have toast tonight at work.

    Take care everyone.

    Evening ladies :hello:
I've not posted all week :o although I have been reading the posts and see that quite a few of us have been having a rough time, Frogga, Pigpen, Dumpling to name but a few:think: I've had/got a lot of 'stuff' going on with OH at the moment  which has had me delving in the breadbin more than I would like :EasterBun But today I've decided that whatever happens I have to put myself first so I've dusted off my SW books and as of tomorrow I'm back on the plan. I think SW is really easy to fit into OS eating, there might be a few odd concoctions as I can't shop until I get paid on Wednesday but I'll do my best. I'll weigh myself tomorrow and start with Saturday as my new WI day.

Well done to all the losers  I don't think I'll manage the 7lbs by Valentine's now but I will at least make a valiant effort :j

    See you tomorrow ladies :A
