Right I'm bacj from work . Mr Frog is home early so he is now going to pick Tadpole 2 up from school :j
What a night yesterday! ~
I had a PC meeting at 8 o clock and went off ,mobile in hand "just in case of emergencies". Tadpole 1 phoned in tears at 9 oclock saying Mr Frog had let the dogs out for a wee on the field and Rodney had not come back. Mr Frog was trundling accross ploughed fields looking for him.
I returned home as quickly as I could and we started a search party. Tadpole 1 phoned my Mum who was in bed and came out and joined in the hunt. I was walking round the village late at night calling "Rodney, Rodney" but nothing. We looked for hours, still nothing. I thought he was gone. Having had dogs all my life and had experience of loosing 2 in car accidents I felt sure that this was his fate.
I kept returning home and setting out again in a different direction , but nothing.
Then I had a call on my mobile from Tadpole 1. She was so upset she couldn't get the words out. I though it was really bad news and perhaps Mr Frog had found him , but he had been in an accident. Finally , Tadpole 1 composed herself to tell me that Rodney was locked in the garage and he was howling and scratching but they couldn't find the key to get him out!
I ran home as fast as my little legs would carry me! Tadpole 2 broke into the garage and lifted the 35lb whippet out through the window ~ where he found the strength to do that from I'll never know, the window is high and small.
Anyway, it transpired that Mr Frog had locked the garage unaware that Rodney had sneeked in there. Then when he didn't come in from the field he assumed he had run off.
It was gone 12 before tha tadpoles were in bed, hense the late start this morning. I love my dogs to bits but they don't arf put you through it sometimes!!
I reckon I've lost pounds with all the stress, worry and running around the village!!!!Say it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Hi All,
Been a quiet day today but I have managed not to snack more than normal.
Breakfast: Muesli mixed with fruit and fibre. raisins, skimmed milk. Small glass of pineapple juice.
Lunch: 3 crackers with Camembert and cherry tomatoes. Banana
Snacks: 2 mini bananas, handful of raisins
Tea: Spinach tagliatelle with garlic, mushrooms and a small portion of low fat cream cheese.
Drinks: Lots of tiny skimmed milk coffees, 500ml of water.
Exercise: very little I am afraid, Just a 5 minute walk down to the postboxes and back.
It's been cool and cloudy here today hence us not doing very much. I've spent a lot of time reading posts on here and not a lot of time doing much else.

Hi all, trying to lose weight the OS way but having real problems with the long gap between lunch at 1-ish and dinner at 7-7.30 (the latter is not a moveable feast, OH cooks it and that's the earliest he can do it). I keep ending up with my hand in the biscuit tin ... not very OS or moneysaving!
I don't want too many snacks in the day because I think my body never gets a chance to start on its fat if I keep loading it up with fuel...0 -
Grats on your losses Stacie, likklegibbon and boddy ! and djtonyb on your inches loss, that’s great !
Newlywed, I hope your OH’s panties get unbunched very soon !
MrsMc please don’t torture me with tales of pasties when I still haven’t got enough room to squeeze a batch in the freezer
Frogga – phew what a night, no wonder you were stressed ! take it easy today lass.
Frostyspice – apparently regular snacking is actually good for you as it helps stir up the old metabolism – you just need to find healthier alternatives to the biscuit tin – 6 hours is a long time to go without anything ( says she who regularly has to go without food until well past 1-2pm due to work  ) A few days ago I posted a list of snacks that I use ( when I don’t give in to the crisp/chocolate demon) that you might find useful
Cheerfulness – yup you need to heat pitta bread up ! pop it under a grill for about 30 seconds each side or cut in half across and pop in the toaster – careful though, you only need it in there for a short while, don’t put it on a full toast cycle or it’ll be rock hard !
You can also make pitta bread “crisps “ – toast lightly, cut into quarters then split them so you have 8 bits per pitta – drizzle with a tiny bit of oil ( or use one of those low fat spray thingies if that’s your thing ) and season – bit of s and p and whatever takes your fancy – chilli powder if you like a bit of kick, dried herbs, paprika, celery salt, garlic – use garlic salt or puree/paste if you like - I like to use a bit of finely grated parmesan ( can use the tub stuff ) and bung in a moderate oven until theyre crispy ( but again not rock hard ) 8-10 mins usually does it in mine. Nice for savoury munchies or for dipping, sometimes I cut the pitta up into strips instead of pieces.
I’ve had a long lousy tiring work day on b*gger all sleep ( I could have helped you look for your doggy, Frogga, I was certainly awake at that time !! ) but am proud because have not ( yet ) failed with Mr W. Power.
Lunch – bowl of hm potato and watercress soup, toasted pitta bread with a little reduced fat butter.
Have just had 2 pieces of toasted wholemeal soda bread with a little butter and jam and a well deserved cuppa. Dinner will likely be a jacket potato and the leftover tinned sausages with beans from the other day, and a hm banana and blueberry smoothie.
Hope you all have a great evening :j" Baggy, and a bit loose at the seams.. "~ November 8th 2008. Now totally DEBT FREE !~0 -
Thanks kittyscarlett, I'm going to look for your snack suggestions now.
Send that Mr W. Power round to my house!0 -
Thanks Rumbly and kitty, I just knew there must be something with the pittas that I was missing out on... they fly off the shelf in our morrisons on a friday night.
Love those ideas, I must give them another try. Could even have a go at making some in the BM.
Oh what a night Frogga - Love my moggie almost as much as the kids... more some days. But gotta say.... RODNEY?? Bless, never heard a dog called that. :rotfl: :rotfl: Dare I ask what the other ones called?
Stayed on track with my food.... despite my mum coming round with a huge bar of fruit and nut... again! Can't work it out. The moment that I tell Dad that the reason I'm walking better is cos I've dropped some weight, she whizzes out the chocolate. Then she says,' I guess you won't want any,' and eats it in front of me.
OH hit the roof after but I genuinely don't think she means any harm, just...dunno... clueless??
Just had my pears and evap, forgot to put it on my plan this morning but had every intention of having tonight and thoroughly enjoyed.
Well done to all the losers and the 'hanging on tight's.'MAY GROCERY CHALLENGE £0/ £250
