Morning all,
Can't sleep so thought I'd get up and have a read on here.
Weigh in this morning was a little loss of 1/2 lb. May be small but I'll take anything I can get. The only annoying bit is that I only needed to lose another 3/4 lb and I'd be due my next 'reward' from the lads in the house.
In fact, to be truthful, I'd ordered my next 'reward' already, having seen 2 lovely tops online in a sale and DS1 told me he'd treat me.Still, might have lost it by the time they arrive; otherwise I'll just not wear till I have.
The good news is that looking back on my food diary I can't really see any times that I've overdone it. That being the case, I'll just carry on as normal and try to up the fruit and veg a bit more and slice my loaves a tad thinner.
I was thinking this week reading all the posts about TOTM, how its like a nunnery. Read once that they all are 'in sync'. And yes, I'm awaiting my 'visitor' too.
Well done to all those that have lost this week :T and welcome to Lemonade and Jayarr.
Rosewood - your boots alone would have weighed that 1 1/2 lbs. Not a fair reading for you. In our Boots the girls have coats, boots, cardi's...the lot off.
Well I'm hoping for another lovely day so that I can get some exercise in the garden. Doesn't feel like exercise when I'm busy out there.:D
I do need to try and get myself moving more but I have the problem of really painful knees, hence my stick. Hopefully losing a bit more weight will help that but I need to think of things to do in the mean time as I'm pretty limited on the walking front. Feel like an elderly aunt at the mo so I need to start working on this a bit.
I've given up on exercise equip in house, I tend to hang my clothes from them.Need something outdoorsy maybe.
Oh and free.
Food today:
Weetabix
Ham salad with handful of fruit & nuts and olives.
Egg salad sandwich with mayo,
Snacks - mandarins (not very sweet)
All the best for those yet to have their weigh ins, well done to all for still being here and lets make next week a real good one for us all.MAY GROCERY CHALLENGE £0/ £250

I posted a few weeks ago that I wanted to join you all, and im afraid, I didnt post again after that because I kind of fell off the wagon.
So, Im here again, hopefully to stay this time. I need to read all the way through all the posts (parts 1 & 2), and pick up as much tips as I possibly can, so, I know this is going to take me a loooonnnnngggg time to do this, but, it will be worth it in the end.
I think the most healthiest thing ive done over the past couple of weeks is eat a vegetable chilli (the recipe was kindly given to me by someone on the OS board), and it was delicious, so, im hoping to pick up a few more tips like that.
My biggest problem is i eat when im board, and after I have my dinner, I always want something sweet. I have loads of chocolate left over from Christmas, and I keep telling myself, its okay to have a little bit. However, I always want a bit of chocolate every day. Do you think it will be okay to just have one biscuit a day.
Is that kind of thing allowed on this board? I need to read all the way through everything before I get the hand of it. I do that that, its not about slimming clubs, and calories, so, I need to try to get that out of my head, cos, im always counting calories. Is your own low fat home cooked meals ok?
Sorry for all the questions, I hope you dont mind me asking.
Jackie
P.S My target is to lose 14lbs for June for going on holiday.0 -
Is that kind of thing allowed on this board?
Hiya Jackie - lovely to see you back.
I think the one thing that comes across when you read this thread is that there are no 'not alloweds' or rules (other than the title - that its the OS way of weight loss)
If you're eating sensibly during the day then one biscuit isn't going to ruin all that, I don't think. Build it into your menu plan. Lots of us have our fav snacks - it's what keeps us going.
Mine is definitely Friday night cheese and crackers. I don't have much but I look forward to it and can afford expensive cheese as it goes miles on the amounts I eat now.
Thanks for the encouragement Taplady. And I didn't think about the little 'rest' you would have after the op. I guess every cloud has a......
And my sister has always been very smug about the fact there's no TOTM for her since she had hers. See, not all bad.
DH hovering for pc so will go attack the garden. See you all later.MAY GROCERY CHALLENGE £0/ £250

Not staying long.....sort of raised a glass or three to the man I've had the immense pleasure of knowing these past 33yrs after the visit last night.
He looked very much older than his 53yrs & a mere shadow of the big man he was.
Thankfully his pain & suffering ended around 7 this morning.
