Pixmania problems - a warning

This is crazy. They were determined to cancel my order instead of sending me the product. So I have agreed to that now.
Next they only want to refund me half of the cash. They have £385.90, and only want to refund me £195.90. It is utter stupidity, I am seriously thinking about going to a higher body to discuss this issue.0 -

Like who?? There is no one.
Pi55mania are a French company with truly awful customer service.
Don't waste your time, ink or electrons writing to anyone.
Do a chargeback with your credit/debit card co [assuming it's a visa]
If it's too late for that
Claim back from cc co under section 75.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Baffling in this age of on-line ordering that so many still seem incapable of making on-line searches.
Typing "Pixmania complaints" into Google is anything but arduous.0 -
By some distance! Honestly, Pixmania are a bunch of amateurs and I will never ever deal with them again. Please steer well clear! Bought a washing machine over a fortnight ago. Website stated 'in stock' and 'delivery within 2-3 days'. Paid a considerable amount of money for the item, only to receive an email a day later stating that the item was out of stock but should be back in the warehouse within 3 days. That deadline passed, then another, until the inevitable happened and I was told that the machine won't be back in. At all! Now I'm waiting for a refund. And waiting. And waiting!

Given the many horror stories here, perhaps we should all contact BBC Watchdog en masse...0

Hi mimminito,
We have received this response from Pixmania:
"Hello
I am sorry that you have not received your Archos 101’s.
Due to unprecedented sales of this product, our stock ran out before we could update them on the site.
We have been given a reshipment dates by the manufacturer, however the dates are always subject to change.
Please contact me directly on rachel@pixmania.com so that I may contact you directly as we receive more updated information regarding this product.
Kind regards,
Rachel

I wish I'd read this before I'd placed an order with them last month... Ordered a washing machine, got it delivered on the 6th Jan but it was badly damaged, so called them up and reported the damage. Received an subsequent email stating that the model was now out of stock until at least the 17th Jan and was given the option to refund, which I requested (have got the same model delivered since from another supplier in perfect brand new working order). To this day, I have received nothing from them since but automated email receipt acknowledgements. I've now sent a complaint into Watchdog, but no luck with Pixmania yet... they still owe me over #500, and I still have a useless damaged washing machine taking up space in my garage that needs collecting. :0(0

My sad story is I purchased a notebook on 30th Nov for my daughters Christmas present which never arrived, despite much chasing. Pixmania did not even attempt to recitify the problem or to send another before Christmas. 2 months later they have still not refunded the money. They asked to prove who I am so I send a copy of my gas bill - no response. Chased them and they said it had to have my photo on, don't ask me why because they don't know what I look like. I felt having to prove who I am to get my money refunded is unacceptable. No apology given at all for ruining my daughter Christmas.
PLEASE DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY WHO ARE BASED IN FRANCE AND WHO WILL GIVE YOU THE ROYAL RUNAROUND. SEARCH THE INTERNET TO SEE THEY HAVE A BAD REPUTATION>0 -

Writing to mWatchdog is a massive waste of time and electrons/ink.
Don't waste time on Pi55mania...get onto your credit or debit card holder and instigate a chargeback or failing that a Section 75 refund claim. [They will try to fob you off with 'you must deal with the supplier first', tell them you have and insit they [the card co] sort it. threaten them with the Banking Ombudsman.
