oops cross posted - so it seems there a quite a few potential candidates and you may never know. Would the police track it, so if someone tried to use your card they would know who the culprit was? A friend of mine had a similar experience a few years back and they found it was her childminder who had taken her card.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

Hi Mooloo, I'm so sorry to hear what has happened
There's no easy way of saying this, and it's only my gut instinct so no definite reason to suspect him, but I have a feeling your son might have stolen the money and booze
He's been under a lot of pressure recently with school and now the summer holidays are upon us I wonder whether he's planning to disappear for while.
Like I said, it's just a gut instinct and I feel dreadful mentioning it and accusing him of something so terrible but I think it's something you should possibly consider.
I really hope I'm wrong, and if it's not him I hope they catch whoever has done this as you realy don't deserve this to happen <<<HUGS>>>
ETA: sorry just realised there's more posts written before I posted. I'd only read up to #439 when I wrote mine“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
Unfortunately before I did anything I had checked that he was at school and acting normally (for him). He is here he hasnt dissapeared. he had the opportunity to go this morning as he was dropped off at school at 8am and he was picked up at 3pm.? If he was going to go I think he would have gone. he does know the buses to Northampton and the rest. So it did cross my mind. I suppose I may never know.
If anyone tries to use the cards they have been stopped. Also I had managed to transfer the money from the main coop account into the other one before I cancelled the crd. So there is no money in it.
If by any stretch of the imagination he has the pin to my mums account then he only has access to £300 as thats all that was in there. I had transfered the odd £ and Pence into the savings account, which is only on line and doesnt have a card. To get on line you need the pin and the gadget that Barclays give you. and I still have that.
Oh I really dont know. Its awful and I suppose the only other thing is time may tell.
I am off now, I am knackered. Want to close down and just not think of anything else tonight. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Have you searched everyone? Not nice I know but might source the culprit?
Hope you manage to switch off a little and enjoy some time with your BF when he comes round.

I follow the diary but dont post much. Really shocked this has happened, Ive had my purse taken and I know how horrible it can be. I hope everything gets sorted out and if possible you find out who took it, as the suspicion will probably eat at you.
Hope you have a better weekend.
Another thought I had earlier is you have seem to have an awful lot going on and wondered if trying to organise what you need to do and find out here might help, maybe other people could try and help figure out thigns with you?:j Debt-Free-Wannabe! :jDeclutter/Ebay/Savings0 -
Just been thinking about it more and although I'm no thief I think that if it was one of the children surely they would have just taken the purse OR the savings tin, not both? The fact your house guest has left the same day seems fishy to me and she could have been thinking to get as much as she can? Where was the purse and savings tin where they together?0

Aw Mooloo SOOO not fair. Big hug's honey. It's horrible, I had my purse stolen the other year, out of my bag, in clark's whilst I was running around after my dd when she was trying on shoes. That was bad enough, nevermind in your own house. I don't think it was 1 of the kid's (don't know of course) but surely they'd just take the money rather than the purse iyswim.
Take care and try to not let it knock the stuffing out of you.Booo!!!0 -
Hi Mooloo,
So sorry to hear of some thieving little scroat has stolen from you and your family. It could have been a sneak thief - found your door unlocked and grabbed the cash. I hope (assuming it is a he - won't call him a man) his dangly bits swell up, turn green, and explode!!!!!:D0 -
Just a quicky, I am at My Bfs. I am ok. The family have rallied around and we are coping fine. I really do not suspect my children on this occassion. I think it is more than likely to have been that ex boyfriend of the twins.
I am going to just relax today, and then I have 3 days booked off of work as I have my birthday on Tuesday anyway.
the shop is still proforming well and again we beat the target, so at least that is going right. And of course relationship is too. so it cant all be bad.
Time to go. Will be back when I am at home.
Thanks for all the well wishes and sympathy. I appreciate it.
Going to watch the Grand Prix I hpe. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
