Got £5 yesterday for doing a good deed for someone so I've put it in my brothers birthday card as he'd be getting a 30p bar of chocolate otherwise! It was a nice suprise. Also found 3p on the floor.
My paypal funds have cleared in my bank account so I'm going to the cash machine to withdraw £50 to pay back the housekeeping and cover any postage of future listings. At least now I can list stuff in bulk instead of only £10-postage-cost every 4 daysCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Got back from visiting Mums last night, this morning settled down to sort out what I've spent while we were away. Only half way through the month and I've already spent £198 of my £250 budget.
Pin money is doing better than expected though- recieved a couple of cheques one from an unexpected dividend payout on some shares I've recently sold, one from greasypalm.
£61.54 from ceques
£1.03 of money found on the ground
£14.05 coupons
£10.89 boots points spent
£10.89 savings in boots as everything i bought was on bogof
£98.58 Total0 -
Yesterday I got a gift set from boots. Originally £5 and then reduced to half and then bought with my boots points. Do I count £2.50 or £5 for my pin? Which ever it was a bargain. I have also today bought some pieces of ribbon to make the lavender wands for my gift drawer. The lavendar is growing from under someone garden fence on the access road at the back of our house so will also be free!!!The best bargains are priceless!!!!!!!!!! :T :T :T0

If you take a piece and stick in the soil it should grow. So you will have your own next year.

:hello:
It's the end of my pms challenge for the last pay day to pay day month.
Total came to £28.45 and I have started again for our next 'month' and have £3.94 from doing the food shop today. Got loads of reduced fruit, veg and pizzas.
It's been great fun and I found an old account with £5 in so have added it to that to make £33.45. Not sure whether to save it to pay off my car loan (on 0% at min) or towards a treat of some kind...
Anyway I am looking forward to getting on with it this month, I made a strict list and meal planner for the week and then went shopping ( much improved on last weeks when I went hungry and overspent grrrr).
Just hope I can eek the supplies out and not have to top up in the week. It's DH 's birthday tomorrow so want to take him out for some  and will be using some of the unspent budget from this weeks shop to treat him. Will I have any left by Monday? LOL.
I just love this challenge, hope you're all enjoying it too.

Virtual Pin Money Savings so far this month:
Skirt made by me at home instead of being bought from M&S (but in a very similar style) £23.50; Reduced items £5.00; BOGOF £1.38; Boots voucher used to buy hair clippers to trim DS's hair £10. (And the clippers will continue to save me money on hairdressing - double whammy!)
This is the first time I've totted this lot up on my spreadsheet and it is startling to see what you can do if you try. One question though, I notice a lot of you use vouchers at Tesco/Asda. Where do you get them from? I never seem to spot them. Any hints gratefully received!Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

didnt officially join in but the last 2 months ive been putting MOST of my savings into a jar... (some i physically couldnt like the one shopping trip were my savings where over £100 through using vouchers and buying sale items etc and my recording savings in my book has slipped this week unfortunetly
)
Got paid midnight on thursday so my new financial month started at 12:01AM friday morning.....
But i had a night out to celebrate my best friends graduation planned for thursday night and i only had £20 in my bank (but £300 has been put in a savings account in june!!) and didnt wanna go into my overdraft so i decided to use my PIN money.. took £50 out of it... leaving me some loose change in the jar... hurt a little but it was a special night... anyway i ended up having a fabulous night... one the best ever.. and came home with change - whole night was only about £25 if that!!! :j
So as i havent spent today i will be emptying my purse into my pin money and transferring all the "loose" money i have into a savings account. And starting my new "live off my wage for this month only" budget from now :rolleyes:0 -

Pin Money Week 3 of 5.
Went over on the shopping again as we are gardening this weekend and thought that a few bottles and cans would help...
£46.13
Bogof's and coupons...
£5.48.
New totals in signature.
I must, I must, I must keep within the shopping budget. Think next month I shall raise the budget by £5pw, but, where to recoup it from? We shall see.
Well done Rabbit :T , why not pay half off the bills and half on a treat?"And crawling on the planet's face,
Some insects called the human race,
Lost in time, and lost in space,
And meaning"0
