It depends on where and how you shop. If you check the online and offline vouchers and codes board you can work out what you need to spend to take advantage of any given offer and do as much shopping as it takes to last as long as... well, as long as however that much shopping lasts :)

Oops, forgot to ask, I know it can be cheaper to shop online, having done it for 3 weeks in a row I've stopped impulse buying and saved a bit. My question is though, am I better off doing it weekly, fortnightly or monthly? Any advice for the new girl???

Whooops I'm in a braindead mode today and clicked "thanks" instead of "quote" by mistake, just in case you were wondering why I'd thanked you ;)

Hi and welcome to OS :hello:

I do all my shopping online, and used to do it weekly for the purpose of getting fresh milk, veggies, fruit etc on a weekly basis and usually managed to find £10 off a £50 spend at tesco online over on the vouchers board to help out with the budget! (helps to have 2 accounts to juggle with and use each voucher twice ;) ) but more recently they've stopped producing so many codes and the ones that are available now are for a minimum £75 or even £100 spend :(

Because of this I've reduced my shopping to every 3-4 weeks and top up with fresh stuff locally if I run out, and also try to freeze what I can for later, but I have limited space at the moment. I'm also trying to see how I manage on a large organic veggie box a month and I also get a small quantity of organic meat that usually lasts a month or so, as we don't eat so much of it now.

It takes a while to figure out the most economical way of doing things, and obviously everyone does things differently, but there are loads of tips and help on this board so if you get stuck just give a shout :)
