Well work today :o , really don't feel like going, wish I was a lady of 'leisure', I have worked from when my DD was 10 months, needs must and all that :D .

No washing to do at all :j , and I have made a spag bol for tonight which is in the fridge, will just heat up tonight when I get in, and cook the spag bit.

Will have a quick swish before I go this morning, will take the dog up to my mums, she dog sits whilst I am at work ;) , I have not seen my mum or dad since xmas day :o , as mum has had this sickness virus for over a week and has been really bad, she is on the mend now though.

    Have good days all xx
  • Morning all, got a busy day planned today. Got to take ds1 to school and ds2 to see the consultant to make sure his cracked collar bone has healed properly. It looks ok and he uses his arm ok now so i think its ok. Then got to go and get his toy he wanted to buy with his pocket money and then drop him off at school so lots of running around this morning.
wm already on and doing its stuff, hoping the rain will hold off for a little while so that i can get it out on the line. I love the way it smells when it has been out so even if i can only manage to put it out for half an hour its worth it.
My news about the car repairs were not as bad as i thought and its only going to need £200 spent on it rather than the £500 expected so that is a huge relief. Mortgage overpayment is still safe for another month.
Hope you are all looking forward to a good day. Hugs and best wishes to all who need/want them.
Proud to have dealt with my debts. Nerd number 288:j Debt free date Dec 07 :EasterBun

    Morning :D

Hester, I've just been catching up with your blog. How on earth have you NOT shot your lodger yet? You must have the patience of a saint :D

How brilliant was CSI last night? :D

I really must sort out my cards and paperwork, I've kept all receipts etc. but they're just in a pile, I'm usually good about filing biz stuff straight away but it's got away from me lately

I'm going to pick the last of the sprouts today and freeze them. Also pull up and chop up the stalks for composting and sort the compost out. I was going to do it last week but didn't. I WILL GET THIS DONE - there, I've said it now, so I have to :D

N9eav, nice to see you :hello:

    Cat, glad you're OK :T

    Good morning everyone!
Hope everyones feeling better this morning.
I`m on my 4th cuppa so far, i put the coffe maker on a timer so when i got up this morning it was all ready and waiting for me and i emptied the rest into a small flask to bring to work, i think i`ll start doing this regularly when i`m on the early shift.
The dw was put on before i left so will be waiting to be emptied when i get home later and the bm was on overnight so the house smelt very welcoming this morning, fresh bread and coffee smells wafting upstairs mmmmmm!

The walk with the dogs this morning was a bit cold and breezy so i hope it warms up a bit for later when i`ll be out with them again.

Right i`m off for a quick surf then back to the grind.
    Have a great day everyone.

    Morning all

CRANKY must be the time of year, my back has been killing me since NYE.

SCUZZ Chin up, I'm sure things will improve soon.

I can't believe I ate so much c**p last night when I got home. Think it must be PMT my hormones are all over the place these days.

Off to work at 1pm. Hope to get DS curtain rail up this morning and make a start of tidying/ decluttering our bedroom. I like the idea of doing one cupboard / drawer at a time, makes it so much easier to face. Also want to sort out DS lego exoforce which falls apart, one of the Dads at school has suggested glueing it.

Talking about chickens, I didn't watch the programme. I buy free-range from the butcher, which I know is not an option for some people or we go without. We eat a lot of game in season, from one of the farms around here. The sight of supermarket chicken just makes me feel sick. I also won't buy duck for the same reason unless it's wild, aparently there are no RSPCA approved duck farms in the UK.

Sorry to preach. Off to turf DS out of bed.:A xxxx

    Morning!

I'm sooooooooooooo tired (yawn, yawn, yawn) Keep thinking that I will have an early night, but never get round to it! I've had a coffee but still yawning

I've got no washing left to do either :D .. just putting away and one load to hang out.

I've swept the kitchen floor and done the lunch boxes ... just going to chuck us all in the shower.

Lunch for me will be last nights left over pasta and tea will be hot dogs chips and spaghetti (bought some by accident thinking it was beans :p)

Got a couple of people coming round this morning and then am going to start on what will become my daily routing (i.e. clicks, comps etc... for the olympic challenge ;))

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday :T

    Luv xx

Morning all and (((hugs))) to all who are still feeling poorly. Don't seem to get much time on here lately - I know why; it's because DH has been off work more than on it since Christmas but he has, today, started a new three month contract so I should be able to plan my time from now on. I have tons of paperwork to sort out. Like you, TRU, I promised myself I would keep on top of it but, what with being ill over Christmas and having visitors, it has spiralled out of control! I will make a start on it today.

SCUZZ - You'll make yourself ill if you carry on like this. Surely your boss can't insist you start so early when it is not what you agreed? Any sign of your contract yet? Also, re jeans for children - Adams have a sale on at the moment with lots of things, including jeans, half price. I bought some clothes there for my DGS last week.

N9EAV - welcome home. I hope you had a great holiday!

HESTER - that lodger of yours! How on earth do you stand it? You must have endless patience!

I'm afraid I am not up to date with everyone on here due to lack of free time on the computer but, now that DH is back at work, I should be able to catch up with all the news.

I haven't watched Hugh Double-Barrelled's programme yet - I've recorded it and will try and watch it later on today. I haven't bought supermarket chicken for ages now - I'd rather buy smaller portions free-range. As well as making for happier chickens, it is so much tastier.

Thanks for the reminder about Martin's programme tonight. I can't wait to see it.

Well, BM and WM are both on, bathroom and bedrooms have been tidied, including organising a little desk that our neighbours (who are moving into a smaller house) gave us - I have used all three drawers in it for my birthday cards, wrapping paper and ribbons, etc. They've all been stuffed into a decomposing cardboard box for years so I've had a good sort out and won't need to buy any more supplies for years!

I need to go to the village today for a few supplies - all the lightbulbs in the house seem to be going this week so I'm going to stock up on some more. Not the energy-saving ones, because of the dangers if they break - they contain mercury, apparently, which cannot just be hoovered up if it spills. I won't use any from now on unless they can prove that they are safe and I don't think they should be forced on us while there are fears over their safety.

Dinner tonight is sausage casserole so I must start prepping the ingredients. I find it is so much easier to cook an evening meal if I have prepared everything in the morning

Anyway, must go - I have three things to iron (yes, just three) and I am going to do them this morning because my main New Year's resolution was to make sure my ironing doesn't reach mountainous proportions!

Hope everyone has a good day.
