  • You can't leave feedback for a cancelled order.

No, you're wrong about that. You most certainly can leave feedback if the seller cancelled.
To be honest, if the seller owns up to a mistake and quickly cancels the order and refunds you in full, I would be inclined to leave a '4' at best or a 3/neutral feedback - on Amazon marketplace, neutrals actually count as negatives, and a whole slew of neutrals could lead to a seller getting kicked off, so unless I thought they were really incompetent and/or dishonest, I'd leave a '4' with comment about poor service.
  • It's not that you mustn't leave the feedback, it's that you do not have the option of leaving feedback.

On your Amazon account page, under 'Where's My Stuff' there's a link to 'Leave seller feedback'.

I’ve given a company my bank details via my switch card with security number for naff all.

The only person with your card details is Amazon, they deal with payments for Marketplace. The seller will quite likely have done a bulk upload which went wrong somehow, and probably woke up to find their whole shop sold out!

I did get annoyed with a seller on Amazon lately who refused to send a book because he found he'd underpriced it by 50p, but I certainly wouldn't expect a small firm to honour hundreds of orders that each have a sizeable loss.

Found this site 2 weeks ago.

No one's forcing you to read the thread if it's annoying.
  • :T Thanks to withabix (duly thanked on post). Withabix mentioned the HP Media Vault in an update to this thread so I dug a bit and picked up a HP Media Vault 300Gb at Watford PCWorld (£95.97) - nominally "ex-display" but it was *boxed*, *new* and *pristine* when I got it home. I also got the 256Mb Sapphire X1950 GT PCI-E video card at £29.97 at the same time so am well chuffed.

I don't suppose you know what brand of hard drive is in it? I'm looking for a new external drive, but the Western Digital I had my eye on is getting bad reviews now, and the other drive I looked at uses 4 types of drives, one of which is rubbish, so I'm not sure if I want to buy that one!

*Edit* don't worry about the above question, been googling and I don't think it's the sort of drive I'm looking for.
