Amazon had a big problem a year or two ago with new sellers setting up electronics stores on marketplace, advertising goods they didn't have, taking lots of money from buyers, dispatching a few initial orders and then scarpering with the bulk of the loot.
I spoke to Mimi from Amazon's Express Customer Servive phone back option. At the end of the call I asked her name and location. She told me she was located in Manila, Philipines.0 -
I have just got this back from Amazon when I used that link to send them an email teflon111

As the order isn't listed any more, you can't leave feedback!
In that case, it means that the order hasn't been cancelled by the seller, but rather it has been deleted by Amazon0 -
I find it a bit ironic that the company (Juppon Financial Solutions Ltd T/A E & G) who are currently in the process of trying to walk away from contracts governed by English law state their nature of business as Accounting, auditing & tax consultants on companies House.
Now here's a question - are these the kind of people you'd want to handle your accounts etc or notMaybe they are???
I also note that they have set up a new company called ELECTRONICS AND GADGETS DIRECT LIMITED (August this year).
Not sure which one of the two (or other) we're dealing with, but having previous experience of these things - doubt it'll ever matter as they'll move assets etc between companies, come out laughing and even if you try your hardest, spend a fortune on legal fees etc, the legal system will massively let you down. unfortunately)
It's a real shame cause everybody who placed an order is genuinely entitled to receive it. I get a bit fed up with people saying what did you expect , you're not gonna get anything - E&G (Juppon?) and me entered a contract - I expected the goods. If that contract had stated that ****-ups meant nullification, fair enough - but it doesn't - it states the opposite... Amazon - take a long hard look at yourself - cause your T&Cs mean Jack ****
This is aimed at you E&G - to let such massive shortcomings happen in the first place is shody - but your ineptitude shouldn't mean you can simply walk away from the situation.
In any walk of life, people make mistakes and get punished for it. Unfortunately, In cases like this, the British legal system sides with people who have funds to fight their cause (no matter how illegal or in breach of any contract they may be)
The initial email sent (which is the thing that has really !!!!ed people off) was, and still is unbelievable. I can quite honestly confess to it making me the angriest I've ever been in my entire life (40+) An apologetic email may have gone down better - although it still wouldn't of escaped the fact that you'd entered a contract and if I had money to burn and could walk you into a courtroom, you wouldn't have a leg to stand on.
Surely the Amazon Marketplace Database automatically keeps the stock levels in check - so these guys have a limited "hit" to take. This could easily be covered in their insurance, and if they don't have insurance... Then they deserve to go bust.
Amazon also need to take a stand here and ban E&G (the email lie was despicable) cause otherwise all of Amazon's T&Cs lose any kind of credability - and so does the company.
BTW - these guys think nothing of charging double price for goods, and ripping of unassuming consumers - don't seem to like it when the boots on the other foot though. Bear it in mind

totally irrelevant in this instance as Amazons T&Cs say they have to honour the listed price. if, when I looked at the T&Cs they had said that E&G were within thier rights to withdraw from the contract blah blah, I wouldn't of bothered - but they don't, so I did.
No, I'm not gonna get the goods - but nothing escapes the fact that E&G are legally bound to supply all goods at the prices listed - FACT0 -

I cant be bothered to read all the way through this thread as they usually just he same old same old.
But at the end of the day if that was your company and YOU made a error on the pricing would you quite happily honour all the orders that was made in that time?
Err no I didn't think so.0 -

Well there's something quite strange going on there Toxic Lemon.I've had dozens of emails from Amazon over the years and none displayed such atrocious English as that - maybe the garbled part ["and they had to very badly take the decision to cancel this"] is a quote from the seller that's been inserted into a standard Amazon form email.
It's also odd that they claim that the order was cancelled without money being taken.
Maybe this is something to do with Amazon's new[ish] merchant program, in which selected marketplace sellers operate under different conditions to 'ordinary' marketplace sellers.??0 -
But at the end of the day if that was your company and YOU made a error on the pricing would you quite happily honour all the orders that was made in that time?
Err no I didn't think so.
Err - Yes I would, if I knew my company was at stake I'd triple check I hadn't ****ed up my pricing.
I've got my own company, I try not to make errors and I'm honest - that's why I've still got a company.
This lot make errors and from the evidence provided by their emails are dishonest. Sounds like you might get a job there!!!0
