When you have clicked on the Bookmarked Threads link, it should take you through to a page of your bookmarked threads and the top of the page should show as:-
If you click on the little down arrow next to Recently Created you should get a drop down box from which you can select Recently Commented. Selecting that should the put the thread with the most recent comment at the top of the list.
If that doesn't work, then that is an error which needs to be reported.

Thanks @BootsMullery but it seems to revert to Recently Created after each visit so perhaps a fault.

No I don't think that is an error. By changing the selector you are not fixing a new setting, just making a choice for that visit.
As I said further back, I do think that most users would prefer the default sort order to be Recently Commented rather than Recently Created but this was mentioned before in regard to the old Recent Discussions but it wasn't changed. Perhaps MSE could put this point to Vanilla @MSE_James
It would seem sensible for the newest comment to be the one that people are coming to see whether that is on a new thread or an old thread..

Hi,
As there are 2 threads, I'll close this one.
Please see this thread for updates: Bookmarks Issue

Hi everyone,
This was an unexpected change by our provider.
We're looking into it.
For now, as has been mentioned, on the new Bookmarks page you should be able to get your bookmarks in the order your used to by selecting 'Sort by' 'Recently Commented'

I have found if you select ‘recently commented’ it does not save the change. However if you select it then read one of the threads with new comments you can return to the bookmarks by selecting the back button on your browser and they stay as ‘recently commented’

Hi everyone,
Thanks for your feedback on this.
As I mentioned, this was an unexpected change we weren't expecting.
We're checking with our provider if we can change the default Bookmarks links to go to:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussions?sort=-dateLastComment&bookmarked=true
This would mean your bookmarks should be in the order you're used to.
For a more detailed explanation on what happened, along with the dillemas and choices we're thinking about, please see this post I've just created -

I don’t know in advance. I contacted MSE about it a couple of days ago and they say it’s an unexpected change by the company that does that software (not an exact quote, my understanding of it).
