Apparently it's deliberate. It doesn't seem to me to reflect the way people actually use the forum.

Surely not! ☹️
Now I notice that posts I've read on the 'bookmarked' list are still showing as new when I've read them. What a mess!

That's ridiculous! There are many long running threads on here that I follow and post on most days. Recently created definitely doesn't work for things like annual challenges or diaries. ☹️

Why oh why does every 'upgrade' make everything worse or cause extra work than how it was before…
I'm very close to giving up completely

It would seem that some long running threads have been moved to 'Challenges' . No idea how it's decided what's included and what's not.

It’s not good. So frustrating.

At least I haven't messed up my browser or gadget, but what painful update is this.
I don't need to see the first 3 lines / sentences of a bookmarked thread, especially when some of those are years old.
And what random order are they sorted in? Has anyone figured that out?
1 -
They are sorted into whatever the "Sort by" selector at the top of the page says.
I think that is defaulting to "Recently created" which means the most recently created thread is at the top and goes back in time from there.
You can change it to what you want from the choices.
On the left hand side, you can also change from Bookmarked to other things for the content.

It would seem that "Latest Threads" has now been changed to "Recent Discussions"
There is then a drop down list so that you can select which of several headings you wish to see recent threads from. The top choice is "All" so you can see all recent threads but then you can change All to Bookmarks, My Posts, Participated and others and then you only see the recent threads from the heading you select.
If you select Bookmarked Threads from Quick Links it takes you into the Recent Discussions list with Bookmarks selected and a default "Sort" of Recently Created.
You can then SORT by all the usual choices Recently Commented, Recently Created, Top, Trending and Oldest.
