hi tiredofthis I have to break everything down into small bits too or I just give up.
The scrap man took two full lorry loads away, and is coming back to pick the stuff he couldnt fit in later in the week, gives me time to find any bits that we missed. I have the council rented giant bins again and we spent most of Saturday filling those. Busy squeezing last bits in before they get collected. Exhausted so we went to a gig on Saturday night and gave ourselves Sunday off which turned into gardening at my friends house.
Project 2 is highly likely to complete later this week so I am back focussing on project 1 while I am in limbo. It is easier now I know the space I have available etc. I am determined that Project 2 will not end up a dumping ground for stuff.

we cleared out a kitchen cupboard yesterday ten well out of date items ditched. I used to go to cookery on a Thursday and most were ingredients from then. That ceased 5 years ago and I have nine years worth of recipes!!

I really must bleed the radiators and top up the heating with water so I can turn it on…
Lots to do in the garden, but it's cold and windy out there so I'm not really feeling like doing much. Cold inside also means I don't feel like doing much, so getting the heating on is clearly a priority.
Also need to chase the locksmiths as they STILL haven't got back to me about the draught excluder/latch/knocker that they need to sort out. Draught excluder being the priority!

I've got a bit of decorators masking tape over a keyhole until I sort out a proper draught excluder for it. I don't need to unlock that door from the other side, and that little bit of tape makes a surprising difference!

Bled the towel rails and bathroom radiator, but whoever did them last time has tightened them up so I can't undo them. I thought it was me, but clearly not!
I've pruned the tomatoes, picked some aubergines, watered the greenhouse, and done more strimming (but not the clearing up).
Chased locksmiths and also ordered some wool draught excluder in case they don't turn up (and also to use in any random draughty spots I come across - I know one window doesn't fit properly).
@Cosmos1234 - I buy two keyhole covers for every keyhole. No idea why they come with one! Apparently locksmiths put them on the inside (so no one can move them to look through - security focused) and carpenters put them on the outside (looks better). I put them on both sides in the hope that at least one will be closed! Unfortunately I have a couple of doors that have handles with keyholes, and those don't have the option to have covers (at least, not the current handles).

@tiredofthis you are very welcome here, and thanks for your great reminder of breaking things down into three tasks at a time. I've recently moved and there are so many things that need doing but all of them seem to need ten jobs first, and all of those jobs seem to need ten jobs first ad infinitum. Thank you for prompting me to think of them in a different way. I can do three things and then deal with another three things whatever those things might have occurred to be. I'm sorry you've been having a tough time, and while I'm glad you've decided crying in bed for a month isn't how you want things to be, don't feel like a failure if you have an occasional crying in bed day. But if you can, replace it with a biscuits and books in bed day!
@Roussie7, I know the sound of that cupboard well 😁 I'm not even a massive foodie or someone who has previously had subscription boxes, but random things do seem to accumulate don't they, I swear inanimate items breed
I have cleaned the oven. Only the toaster, fridge, and boiling water down plugholes to go for the Big Monthly Clean. Then the fridgefreezer needs defrosting and the settings researched, but that is on another to-do list so doesn't count for the purposes of this achievement 😁
Build admin is slow and painful but I'm doing everything I can. At least all my Autumn vinted listings are done and I'm proud that I bothered to sort and list and not sack anything in the pile off on the grounds of 'can't be ars*d'

A butler’s sink that was here when we moved in 7 years ago and I have never managed to find the right spot for, finally left this evening to a FBMP’er who was delighted to find one close to home as she’s been looking for one for ages for tulips next spring and then succulents next summer 😊
She paid me £20 cash so that’s our next takeaway sorted 😉

I have 2 gardeners today including the boss so lots of clearing out in the side bed and 4 new plants ready to go in. Hopefully they will establish themselves well before it gets too cold here (Dorset so rarely properly cold). I have lots of bulbs that need to go in as well but a good portion are tulips to go into pots and I should be able (so I tell myself) to do that myself. If not I'll get the gardener's second to do them next time he's here.

Neighbour who burns something revolting (?old telegraph poles, tar barrels, who knows) has had their fire lit since at least 6.30am. Can't go out in the garden or open the windows. So am awarding myself a sofa day.
I have taken delivery of the tiles for the pantry, arranged for the locksmiths to come and finish the job started in August, spoken to the supplier for the kitchen tiles, chased a bulb order, ordered a sink and two taps for the utility room, and added kibble to the cat's next food delivery. Also had a short walk with Stinky.
Covid jab was cancelled, so need to reschedule. Local pharmacy has very few slots, so may end up going further afield, possibly near my mum to combine it with a visit to her.
Oh, and I've had a shower and washed my hair.
I do need to do my tax return and sort out the heating schedule at some point. Stinky will also want another walk, but I'm hoping to spend most of the rest of the day on the sofa.
